i. Sir Fuzzlerton the Cad

[Well, this is quite the hilarious quest, actually. Ochako actually was giggling about it as she read the description on her phone's app, but decided to try it anyway. It seems harmless and simple enough, even if it is a bit time consuming... Still, what else has she got to do today? Nothing, really...so why not help out? Besides, she really could use the reward money, and it's almost like being given meager tasks as a Hero to do on the daily!! She's starting to get used to doing things like this, really, and it keeps Ochako busy.

So, as she preps herself to be out for the day looking for Sir Fuzzlerton, Ochako stares hard at the picture that his owner put of him on the quest descriptions, and tries to memorize it. Maybe she should contact one of her friends, too? Mm...this doesn't seem like anything at least one of them would partake in, and to be fair, they're probably doing it or the other quests posted as well. Maybe she'll run into them? Shoving a few bottles of water into her pack, and a bento box of greens (listen, it's decent bait for a waskly wabbit) soon after, she shoulders her bag and heads out to the first of many new bunny cafes that opened up, heading to the staff first to ask questions and if they've noticed an, um...f-frisky rabbit hopping about.]

He looks like this, and belongs to someone looking to get him back... Would it be alright if I looked around a little bit? I promise I won't bother any of the other rabbits, or customers, while I'm here!!

ii. Run Snagglefoot Run

[Now this is more the kind of quest Ochako is used to. She's not against doing the simpler, more mundane ones, but the adrenaline rush she feels when stopping an actual thief is few and far between. It actually makes her feel somewhat like she's back in Musutafu, fighting crime and stopping villains alongside her senpai, Nejire, and the Dragoon Hero, Ryukyu. Still...this particular thief is a tricky one to get a grip on, and Ochako is definitely getting frustrated. Man, it'd be pretty simple if she had her quirk, or her hero gear, but alas...nothing of the sort. What she does have, however, is a large and very fast running dire wolf familiar, who shows up at last when Ochako calls for her.]

Aludra, I need you!! [The white wolf seems to blinks into existence rather suddenly, its glittering coat like starlight as it curiously peers at its partner, then folds its ears back as it takes in her appearance. Ochako is winded, having been chasing Snagglefoot for several miles and always just missing him. Damnit...he's probably got his greedy little mitts on so many other stolen goods, too!] Please, this time it's important - there's a criminal about and I can't catch him on foot. I-I know...hah...you don't like me riding you, b-but...I really...r-really need your help!

[The wolf is fast, Ochako has seen it before - when Aludra runs she looks like the tail of a shooting star. It was part of how the brunette figures out the wolf's name was that of a star. The star making up the 'tail' in the constellation Canis Major...the greater dog. It's actually rather hysterical, that the dire wolf is so connected to space like that. Sort of like Ochako is, heh. They really were meant for each other. Hopefully, that'll mean the large beast will let the girl ride her...which she has not let happen since arriving in Avalon.]

Please. You know I wouldn't ask otherwise... And it'd be just this once, until we catch him. O-Or if you can somehow make me faster, I-- [Her phone buzzes. It's an alert. The thief is headed for the Red Spring. Shit, she's running out of time!]

iii. Farmers-R-Us

[Ochako never really done this sort of work before - there's not a lot of farmland where she lives, not unless you really go towards the more rural towns and villages, away from the major cities in Japan. She's of course been to farms before, obviously, but never really done work there. Still, it's honest work, and after some pointers from the farmhands, it's easy enough. Laborious, definitely, but Ochako's not against working up a good sweat!! It's a bit like early morning training, and a damn good work out to boot. She'll be doing this for a good, long while...

Hence why she's sort of wearing a lot of her usual workout gear as she goes about, turning soil removing roots and rocks, and hauling feed to the animals. She's pretty dusty towards the middle of the afternoon, sighing a bit as she heads back into the field from her break to take a drink and just rest a while. Breaks are important, after all!! No need to be overheating, or overworking, to the point of real fatigue! As she picks up her hoe to get back to work, she notices one of the farmer's dogs poking at something a fair bit away in the brush. Uh, oh...that better not be a rabbit den. Ol' Fido's gonna get is big trouble if he decided to attack any bunnies this month...]

Hey, hey, none of that!! Don't you do anything naughty over there, you! [Spooked by getting caught (and the prospect of getting punished), the dog races away, and Ochako is hurrying over quickly toward what it left. Sadly for her, though, Ochako has the marvelous misfortune to be right in the middle of a nest of pixies as they emerge and make the assumption that their home was disturbed and destroyed by the girl. Oh boy. Zipping about, clawing and biting at her arms and face, pulling at her hair, Ochako squeaks with horror and tries to swat them away, racing to try and take shelter...anywhere, really.]

AAAHH, G-GO AWAY!! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!! I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP KEEP THE DOG AWAY!!! EYAAH! OW, OW, STOP BITING!!

[The quest seemed easy enough, and with his expert hunting skills, singling out one pesky rabbit would be easy. Child's play for a creature like Nanaki! But the more he searches these cafes for one rabbit, the harder it seems to be.]

[Not to mention his mere presence seems to get most of the rabbits riled up. He doesn't get why; he's not trying to eat them! But while Ochako is talking to the staff member, Nanaki will come prowling out from the cafe's interior.]

If you are looking for that one rabbit, you'd best look elsewhere. He's not here.

[Yes, can't imagine why the large, predatory-looking wildcat creature would startled the poor bunnies... It is truly a mystery. The staff themselves look a bit wary of Nanaki as well, and as Ochako turns to thank the kind stranger, she also can't help but be startled and jump at the sight of him, a tiny squeak escaping her throat.]

Ah, is that so? How unluck--yeek!

[You'd think she'd know better by now...but the creatures Ochako has come across thus far have either been fantastical herbivores, or, uh...babies.]

[Oh, it's been a while since anyone reacted with fear to Nanaki. He huffs at her, ears flicking.]

Don't worry. I'm not looking to eat you or anyone else.

ii; so ochako wants to go fast, huh

[It's just about a second after Ochako's phone sends her an alert that something else zips past the two of them like a comet - it's the only thing Jiro's reliably learned how to do with her magic, zooming an inch over the ground like Bakugo might.
(Though she kind of wants to make it easier on herself and get some skates or a skateboard to ride instead of using her magic to hover, too...)

For Jiro, though, it's not hard to catch Ochako's voice no matter how fast she might have been going, so she does her best to skid to a stop (which maybe entails running into a tree, don't judge her) so she can turn around and zip back over to her friend's side.]

Uraraka! Or, uh - Uravity? [Is this Hero work? Should they be using their Hero names?? She has no idea.]
You're headed this way too, right? For that thief?

[It's probably clear right away why she's just asking instead of anything else - there's a strong "Let's go together!" sort of tone that only the girls ever get out of her.]

[While the dire wolf barely seems bothered by the ruffle of its fur as Jirou speeds past, Ochako squeaks a bit and ducks out of the way, just in case, shielding her eyes as her hair whips about. Thankfully, the only one to judge her, erm...less than stellar braking mechanics is Ochako's familiar, who says nothing and only twitches its ears.]

O-Oh, Jirou-chan!! Oh, eh--...sorry, Earphone Jack. [Is it Hero work? Ochako never really thought about it, but...well, she'll weigh the semantics later. Once Jirou mentions the thief, Ochako is right back into high gear, biting her lip and nodding.] Mm! I am, but he's always one step ahead of me...I can't catch him on foot, and I'm trying to get Aludra to give me a ride, since she can run really fast, but--...

[The wolf snorts, then scratches at an itch at its side. Mm...probably won't happen. Or, at least, more coaxing is needed.]

How were you moving so quickly just now?! Can you do it on me, too?

[Well, unfortunately for Ochako, asking Jiro for an explanation is always a 50/50 sort of deal. Either she'll happily sit down and give a nice, in-depth explanation of what's going on... or whoever's asking will get stuck with something a lot more hands-on.
Ochako's got two seconds to guess which one she's getting.

One second's taken to make sure she's up in the air, herself - and from there, she reaches out and places a hand on Ochako's shoulder to make sure she's hovering above the ground a bit, too.]

Hold on tight, okay?

[If she doesn't, she's probably not gonna enjoy what happens next - because whether Ochako grabs onto her or not, she's grabbing onto her friend's wrist to speed away with the both of them.
Sorry, Aludra... surely a big ol' wolf like that can keep up, though!!]

[ If Aludra needed an example of what Ochako was asking of her, she got one rather quickly, with Stoirm dashing up and slighting to a halt, Gareth riding on top of her. Though in reality, the only reason Stoirm was even allowing Gareth to do so was because she wasn't wearing her armor, but still.

Gareth turned to Ochako with an extended hand. ]

If your familiar won't take you, you can ride with me, but we don't have anymore time!

[ Stoirm, in turn, looked to Aludra with an understanding chuffing noise. She got it, young one, she really did. But these humans needed their protection, after all... ]

[Aludra still needs...some coaxing, definitely. The wolf is a bit stubborn, and prideful, even if she is loyal to a fault. While she would protect the girl and her friends from harm, and risk her own skin to do so, the dire wolf doesn't particularly see this as a 'life or death' situation...thus it's not as quick to leap into action. However, seeing its partner immediately reach to take Gareth's hand, to ride upon the back of another dire wolf...well! That simply will not do, either.

Prideful indeed, and perhaps a bit possessive. Aludra folds her ears back with a bit of a growl, and grabs Ochako's shirt as she's just about to pull herself up onto Stoirm, tossing her upon her back with a huff.]

Eyaa--...ah? Eh?? Oh, Aludra-chan, are you going to let me ri--AIIIIIEEEE!! WAIT, WAIT, I'M NOT ON YET--! AAAH!! [And off she goes, not really waiting for Ochako to right herself or anything. It's fine, she's hanging onto the wolf's fur...it's gucci. Aludra's got a point to prove and that is that she's fast. Better keep up, old timer. Huff!! >:T]

Lady Ochako! W-wait!

[ She hadn't expected her to take off like that, though it definitely seemed like it was all the wolf's doing. But Stoirm, for her part, was more than happy to accept the challenge to a race, smirking as well as a wolf could before taking off herself, jerking Gareth back with a panicked yelp. ]

Not you, too!

[Gaius hasn't worked on a farm either, however he's no stranger to working with livestock. His people were nomads and they kept sheep for food and wool and rode horses for transportation, though they did have one orbal truck to help them with hauling supplies to make their homes.

He's just finished up cleaning up a horse when he hears the screaming.]

Slyph!

[The vibrant hummingbird with the super long tail zips from whatever flower it had been feasting on and zooms ahead. Gaius runs behind, realizing he doesn't have time to find his spear.]

Hang on!

[It sure is a sight to see - a familiar brunette swatting and trying in vain to fight off what seems to be a swarm of angry...insects? No, on closer inspection, one will see that they're actually brightly colored pixies, zooming about and clawing and biting at the poor girl, pulling her hair and just being a nuisance. Some even go so far as to try and throw a hex or a jinx right at her eyes, probably to try and cause temporary blindness, or watery eyes, or...something inconvenient.

Thankfully, nothing terrible like that happens yet, as she's wise enough to guard her face and shut her eyes when things get too close. She does, unfortunately, wind up tripping over herself trying to hurry back away away...while her eyes were closed.]

Ah--!! [Wait, is someone coming?] S-Stop, don't--...g-get back! They'll go right for your eyes!!

[Man, if she had a flyswatter, or some bugspray...and a lighter... >__>]

[He doesn't want to hurt the little pixies, but he certainly can't have them harassing her. So he takes a deep breath and focuses the one magical skill he's managed so far.]

ARCUS, activate!

[A gust of wind erupts from nowhere, enough to have a person feel unsteady on their feet. It's definitely enough to fling tiny pixies into the air and far away. There's a good chance he'll definitely be targeted next, so he might have to hide somewhere before that happens.]

E-I-E-I-Oh no, there are pixies everywhere!

[ Momo has never been to a farm before, let alone worked on one, but she's not one to shy away from a little hard work. (Even if she does detest the whole dirtiness of farm work.) Working alongside her friend has made the day worth it, to her, and so when she hears Ochako's voice crying out in destress, she drops whatever she's doing immediately and runs over to investigate, only to find her friend swarmed by a cloud of angry pixies.

Thinking quickly, Momo calls upon the lessons Dust taught her about wind magic, and performs a complicated gesture to summon a gust of wind that will hopefully blow the pixies up and away from Ochako. ]

Stay away from her!

[The wind gust most definitely does do some work, scattering the pixies on the, well...wind. Ochako squeaks as the gale whips her hair and clothes about, but she's far larger and heavier than the tiny fae creatures, so she remains firmly in place, guarding her face and head. With the majority of the swarm having the brains to know there's now an actual threat, they flitter away, hissing and spitting curses in the two girl's direction. One of the remaining pixies even attempts a very minor curse - or, well...really, just a hex - at Ochako, and--

Turns her hair a very wild, electric blue. Ah...]

H-Hey!! I didn't do anything! I was trying to keep the dog away, you--! [Ooooh...if she were less kind than she is, she may have thrown a rock at one of the fairies, but they seem satisfied with their hex and zip away before the girl can change her mind.]

[ Momo doesn't know what did or didn't happen to provoke such an attack from the pixies. But regardless, she's on the side of her friend. And the retaliatory changing of Ochako's hair to a bright blue is just petty and childish, in her opinion, whether she did anything to deserve it or not.

Momo shoots a glare in the direction of the retreating pixies, then turns her attention to Ochako. It's... kind of weird? Blue hair in and of itself is not anything unusual for Momo to see, but seeing it on her normally-brunette friend is a bit jarring. ]

Are you alright? They didn't hurt you, did they?

[Since Robyn has animal magic, she's been going around asking the rabbits themselves if they've seen Sir Fuzzlerton, though so far she hasn't had any luck. Either they haven't seen him or they've been too angry to talk about him because of his philandering ways.

When she hears Ochako talking to one of the staff at the rabbit cafe, though, she realizes that she could maybe use some extra help for this, so she goes up to the older girl.]

Er...are you looking for Sir Fuzzlerton? Because I am, too.

[Animal magic would indeed be really useful, considering Ochako's magic type is only elemental...and not very stable at that. She's not about to go roasting any of these rabbits, heavens no, but she's definitely still trying her best to do a good job. These simple quests are a lot like basic hero work...and while she's not exactly a hero here, or even has her Hero Costume, Ochako--er...Uravity is still determined to help anyone with their needs!

Blinking as she spots someone sidling up to her, Ochako looks over her shoulder and smiles. Oh, a kindred spirit!]

Mm! I am, yes. Eh...I'm guessing you haven't spotted him here either, then? [Ah, how unlucky. This may take a bit more work than she first thought.]

[ There seems to be a running trend of small animals smothering Yuzu... and she doesn't even have Animal Magic! To be honest, Animal Magic would be helpful right about now, because...

Well, Yuzu's sitting at this Cafe with a small pink swiss roll cake... and she's frankly covered in rabbits, none of which seem to match Sir Fuzzlerton's description. At the very least, they're much softer than baby dragons. ]

Oh, Ochako!

[ To be honest, it's kind of nice! Though still a bit unproductive. ]

[Oh, jeez.

Ochako comes upon the mass of poofy buns absolutely burying poor Yuzu and does an immediate double-take before starting to pull them off, gently, one by one. Goodness gracious, one would sure think the redhead had Animal Magic!! Or, at the least, she has, uh...some very uncontrolled Animal Magnetism. L-Literally...]

Aaaah, Yuzu-chan!!! A-Are you okay?! You, um...y-you seem to be well liked by animals, ehehe... [She should probably not take that farming quest that was posted, Ochako thinks to herself. God forbid she gets chased around by a bull or a horse that wants to 'cuddle' or something, pffft...] Are you trying to find that one bunny, too, or...?

[Her eyes move towards that swiss roll cake. Yikes, better be careful it doesn't get covered in loose fur... What a waste of a tasty treat that'd be.]

[A true Beach City girl at heart, Lightning's never really worked on a farm before. The closest she's been to working outdoors were the obstacle courses they'd been put through in military training, but none of it involved hauling feed through the fields or turning soil, so this is all a bit new to her. Still, she's picked it up fairly quickly, and is working a hoe into the dirt when she hears a girl's shrieks coming from down field.

She rushes over, fingers reaching back to her holster (yes, she brings her gunblade everywhere), and when she spots the girl swatting and running from what appear to be pixies—for fuck's sake. First the fairies, now these...]

Get lost.

[Sighing, Lightning whips out her gun and pulls the trigger once, then again for good measure. Two loud bangs echo across the farm and, just as she'd hoped, it's enough to frighten the pixies into scattering.

Don't worry, she's ... pretty sure ... she didn't shoot any of them.]

You okay?

YEEEEEK!!

[WELL THAT SURE WORKS.

Not a single one of the pixies remain after the two shots are fired, flitting away as fast as their tiny wings can carry them. They may have their magic, sure, but guns have nasty metal bullets, and aren't all that easy to fight against. Ochako, too, seems to hit the fucking dirt when she hears a goddamn gun being fired a little too close for comfort. She covers her head and just...waits. Ochako's pretty sure this woman's not going to shoot at her, but...woof, she's not used to guns being used very much without heavy regulation. Snipe-sensei and the police are the only ones who really use firearms like that... (though canons are a-okay for some reason, we don't get it either!!).

Rolling over onto her back once its quiet, and once the woman heads over, Ochako sits up and nods her head.]

Y-Yeah...ah...fine. I'm fine. Th-Thank you, miss. [Fine, but she sure does have a ton of tiny bites and scratches all over her, and Ochako's hair is a mess, with loose strands hanging from where they were pulled out as well. Ouch...] I-I don't even know what those things were, but they were terrible!! I didn't do anything - just tried to keep the dog away! Stupid, nasty, awful, bitey bugpeople...

[There's a sudden, but harmless, flare of flames near the pixies, too scattered and light to do any damage but enough to get someone's attention and maybe scare them a little.

The source is a tall girl with fiery blonde hair, who's marching over all intimidating-like.]

Leave her alone, alright?! I saw her, she was just trying to stop the dog from wrecking your home!

[floatsaway]

[The sudden burst of light and fire does scatter a good number of the pixies, startled and fearful of the heat and bright light. A few stragglers still remain, and they hiss and spit in both girls' directions, but Ochako took the time to at least get away from the majority of the attack. Though, uh...she didn't come out unscathed.

Her hair is a mess, she has tiny scratches and bite marks all over her, and worst of all...it seems like the pixies used their magic, or glamour, to turn patches of the girl's skin green and scaly...like a snake. Seems that's what they really thought of her efforts.]

Th-Thanksss... [Oh lord, there's the flicking, forked tongue. H-Hopefully this is just temporary.] Wh-What even are those things?!

[They look like...bugs?? People??? Bug people? Oh god, she fucking hopes not. Ochako will manifest poor Present Mic in this instant and just yell.]

Still trying to beg your dog to get a ride?

[ Katsuki scoffs at that. Honestly it's not that bad of an idea, to rely on the larger familiar to actually chase down the thief. That's what Bakugou is out here doing as well- trying to catch the culprit because that's just what they are all meant to do! It sucks because he could have just blasted himself all over the island and caught up no problem.

Being grounded sucks and definitely puts him at a disadvantage. He hasn't quite figured out how to get around that just yet. ]

At least mine's not that fussy.

[Ugh, she...doesn't need this right now. Between the constant pings on her phone, indeed begging her familiar to cooperate, working out a solution on what to do if it really doesn't, and grinding her teeth over the fact that such a task would be so goddamn EASY if she still had her actual quirk and gear, Ochako is starting to feel really, really stressed out. Worst of all, this isn't a training course, or an exam or something...this is an actual job and--

And she's going to fail.

She's going to fail because she can't do anything. She can't use her magic properly, her familiar only fucking listens to her when it wants to, and she can't rely on her own skills and strengths because she doesn't have any. Pressing the heels of her palms into her forehead in frustration, Ochako squeezes her eyes shut and just grunts, tearing off down the road on her own two feet. Screw it. Screw them both.]

GO AWAY, I'M WORKING RIGHT NOW!!
