i. Sir Fuzzlerton the Cad

[Well, this is quite the hilarious quest, actually. Ochako actually was giggling about it as she read the description on her phone's app, but decided to try it anyway. It seems harmless and simple enough, even if it is a bit time consuming... Still, what else has she got to do today? Nothing, really...so why not help out? Besides, she really could use the reward money, and it's almost like being given meager tasks as a Hero to do on the daily!! She's starting to get used to doing things like this, really, and it keeps Ochako busy.

So, as she preps herself to be out for the day looking for Sir Fuzzlerton, Ochako stares hard at the picture that his owner put of him on the quest descriptions, and tries to memorize it. Maybe she should contact one of her friends, too? Mm...this doesn't seem like anything at least one of them would partake in, and to be fair, they're probably doing it or the other quests posted as well. Maybe she'll run into them? Shoving a few bottles of water into her pack, and a bento box of greens (listen, it's decent bait for a waskly wabbit) soon after, she shoulders her bag and heads out to the first of many new bunny cafes that opened up, heading to the staff first to ask questions and if they've noticed an, um...f-frisky rabbit hopping about.]

He looks like this, and belongs to someone looking to get him back... Would it be alright if I looked around a little bit? I promise I won't bother any of the other rabbits, or customers, while I'm here!!

ii. Run Snagglefoot Run

[Now this is more the kind of quest Ochako is used to. She's not against doing the simpler, more mundane ones, but the adrenaline rush she feels when stopping an actual thief is few and far between. It actually makes her feel somewhat like she's back in Musutafu, fighting crime and stopping villains alongside her senpai, Nejire, and the Dragoon Hero, Ryukyu. Still...this particular thief is a tricky one to get a grip on, and Ochako is definitely getting frustrated. Man, it'd be pretty simple if she had her quirk, or her hero gear, but alas...nothing of the sort. What she does have, however, is a large and very fast running dire wolf familiar, who shows up at last when Ochako calls for her.]

Aludra, I need you!! [The white wolf seems to blinks into existence rather suddenly, its glittering coat like starlight as it curiously peers at its partner, then folds its ears back as it takes in her appearance. Ochako is winded, having been chasing Snagglefoot for several miles and always just missing him. Damnit...he's probably got his greedy little mitts on so many other stolen goods, too!] Please, this time it's important - there's a criminal about and I can't catch him on foot. I-I know...hah...you don't like me riding you, b-but...I really...r-really need your help!

[The wolf is fast, Ochako has seen it before - when Aludra runs she looks like the tail of a shooting star. It was part of how the brunette figures out the wolf's name was that of a star. The star making up the 'tail' in the constellation Canis Major...the greater dog. It's actually rather hysterical, that the dire wolf is so connected to space like that. Sort of like Ochako is, heh. They really were meant for each other. Hopefully, that'll mean the large beast will let the girl ride her...which she has not let happen since arriving in Avalon.]

Please. You know I wouldn't ask otherwise... And it'd be just this once, until we catch him. O-Or if you can somehow make me faster, I-- [Her phone buzzes. It's an alert. The thief is headed for the Red Spring. Shit, she's running out of time!]

iii. Farmers-R-Us

[Ochako never really done this sort of work before - there's not a lot of farmland where she lives, not unless you really go towards the more rural towns and villages, away from the major cities in Japan. She's of course been to farms before, obviously, but never really done work there. Still, it's honest work, and after some pointers from the farmhands, it's easy enough. Laborious, definitely, but Ochako's not against working up a good sweat!! It's a bit like early morning training, and a damn good work out to boot. She'll be doing this for a good, long while...

Hence why she's sort of wearing a lot of her usual workout gear as she goes about, turning soil removing roots and rocks, and hauling feed to the animals. She's pretty dusty towards the middle of the afternoon, sighing a bit as she heads back into the field from her break to take a drink and just rest a while. Breaks are important, after all!! No need to be overheating, or overworking, to the point of real fatigue! As she picks up her hoe to get back to work, she notices one of the farmer's dogs poking at something a fair bit away in the brush. Uh, oh...that better not be a rabbit den. Ol' Fido's gonna get is big trouble if he decided to attack any bunnies this month...]

Hey, hey, none of that!! Don't you do anything naughty over there, you! [Spooked by getting caught (and the prospect of getting punished), the dog races away, and Ochako is hurrying over quickly toward what it left. Sadly for her, though, Ochako has the marvelous misfortune to be right in the middle of a nest of pixies as they emerge and make the assumption that their home was disturbed and destroyed by the girl. Oh boy. Zipping about, clawing and biting at her arms and face, pulling at her hair, Ochako squeaks with horror and tries to swat them away, racing to try and take shelter...anywhere, really.]

AAAHH, G-GO AWAY!! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!! I WAS JUST TRYING TO HELP KEEP THE DOG AWAY!!! EYAAH! OW, OW, STOP BITING!!

Though, fair to Stoirm's well thought out(??) plan, Snagglefoot is indeed incapacitated and knocked both unconscious and off his feet from the impact of having Gareth...q-quite literally catapulted at him. He certainly wasn't expecting this sort of hazard while trying to flee with his goods, surely. And Ochako, being the less, erm...damaged of the three, hurries toward where her friend and the thief lay, in a heap.

It may takes her a few tries, staggering and tripping over herself from the dizziness caused by hitting her head into Aludra's a moment ago, but she does manage to get over to where the fallen duo are and grab ahold of Snagglefoot. He is down and out, but it's still best to 1. obstain the sack of stolen jewels, 2. make sure he's not overly hurt, and 3. actually detain him.]

M-My head...oooh--Gareth-san, a-are you okay? I...I-I got him. In custody...oogh.

[Meanwhile, Aludra is just sitting pretty with Stoirm, waiting for snacks and wagging her tail as her tongue lolls from her open mouth. :D]

[ It took Gareth a moment to recover from being used as a human bullet, her head fuzzy and eyes starry. She'd taken some big hits before, but usually she had a helmet on, or something else to brace against. Of course, Stoirm wouldn't have done it had she not thought Gareth would make it out mostly unharmed.

What was a little brain rattling to a knight? She'd be fiiiine. ]

Ugh... I feel like got hit by a truck...

[Soldiers, heroes, and everything in between. This sort of occupational hazard is just...what they have to deal with, right? Surely they will both be fine. Ochako's made of tougher stuff, though...she sure will feel one hell of a headache tomorrow. Gareth too, probably, and Snagglefoot...

Well.

Jail might be kinder to him, probably.]

Mmh...a-and I feel like I hit a brick wall. Or Kirishima-kun when he's using his quirk... Can, um...c-can you stand? I don't think this thief is going anywhere, and we can have the Inn staff call the authorities to pick him up. I've...mmh. Secured the jewels.

That's good, at least... [ Especially since Gareth's one and only contribution was the fastball special.

Gingerly, she held a hand up. ]

Can you help me? My head's still spinning.

[The fastball special is always the correct and most effective option, let's be honest.

Though Ochako will indeed offer up a hand to let Gareth up, tugging her up just in case, and bracing her if a bit of vertigo sets in. Ochako's not...exactly the largest person, at a 'staggering' 5'1", but she makes a decent.....crutch. orz]

Mm, you took quite a hit... L-Let's get everyone inside and maybe see if we can get some ice for our heads. O-Or some painkillers. [A few tylenol or something.] Lean on me if you need to.

[ She was at least a little taller than Gareth, so that was perfectly fine. She more just hoped she wasn't too heavy for Ochako, but that seemed to be fine, too. She let her weight fall against Ochako a bit, letting out a small sigh. ]

Yeah, at least until the constable comes to pick up our thief...

[With all that armor Gareth definitely a bit heavy, but not incredibly so. If Ochako still had her quirk, she could have easily carried the other girl into the Inn proper..as well as Snagglefoot at the same time, but...alas give it another month. Still, she will walk Gareth inside calmly, despite the whimpering protests of her familiar who wants snacks NOW, thank you very much.

Sitting her in a plush and comfortable chair in the Inn's lounge/waiting area, Ochako goes then to fetch Snagglefoot and bring him inside - with help from the Inn staff, since he is larger and heavier than she is, and very unconscious - and they alert the authorities to come and get him. Once Ochako gives them her report, another thing she is startlingly good at, given her hero training, the brunette finally...finally is able to sit down on a chair adjacent to Gareth and sink into it.]

Haaah! I think I'm going to...take a long soak in the hot springs and then go right to bed... The police are going to take that vil--erm...thief to jail and return the stolen gems as well. They've alerted the jewelers and they'll be sending us both a reward to our accounts in the next few weeks, I think.

[ Gareth was still a little loopy, holding a provided cold compress to her head, when Ochako sat down. ]

A soak in the springs sounds absolutely lovely right now... And I should definitely order some meat for our familiars before they start to fuss.

[ In all honesty she didn't care that much about the reward. Like a Hero, a Knight did good works because that was what they were meant to do, and stopping a thief just seemed like second nature in terms of chivalrous deeds.

All that being said, though, she felt like she should definitely have a talk with Stoirm about her limitations as a physical being, because christ her head hurt.

She turned to Ochako, and she looked really busted, too. ]

This is definitely not the image of gallant knighthood I wanted to give you.

Mmh, I'll pay for half that...

[The meat, she means. It wouldn't be fair for Gareth to pay to feed Aludra - she's Ochako's familiar, not hers. The brunette has a responsibility to take care of the white wolf, and...honestly, Ochako's not sure how well she'll take food from someone else. Aludra's been extremely friendly towards all her classmates, sure, but Ochako's only thought the reasoning is because they all smell like her at least a little bit. There must be a level of familiarity...though she's once or twice been indifferent to even them, too.

As for the reward, well... Different worlds, different requirements. Ochako usually does missions and quests for the sake of people she's helping, but she will not refuse a monetary reward, ever. Before the aftermath of Eri's rescue, and...that...w-with Sir Nighteye...Ochako's goal to become a Hero was to make enough money to give back to her parents, who have been struggling financially ever since she was a very young child. Save and slowly siphon her earnings into their account so they could both have a happy, carefree life. She's been dirt poor since then, only really ever having enough to get by, so having this sort of money for free use any time...

It's odd, but Ochako will never, ever refuse it. To have a so-called 'golden goose egg' in her account, when she's so good at saving and spending, isn't necessarily a bad thing. If any one of her friends - from home or here - is ever in a tight bind...she can help them in that way.]

Eh? Ehehe, Gareth-san, you should have seen me when I was starting out, at the entrance exam to UA High!! I could barely use my quirk - my powers - without throwing up all over the place! Even my magic here makes me sick, so it's fine!! You were what really helped get me going, so thank you very much!

[I mean...Aludra got jealous of Stoirm, but...if it works, it works, right?]

My plan had been more to ride here with you with Stoirm, since Aludra looked to not be very motivated to help...

[ It had all seemed much more 'knightly' in her head. ]

And then it all just lost control from there. I know you're trying to put a positive spin on it, but...

[ She just completely lost hold of the situation. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed, like she was a squire making rookie mistakes all over again. ]

[floatsaway]

Ah...y-yeah... Aludra-san isn't very cooperative in most cases. [Ochako sighs, running a hand through her hair and frowning as she feels an already developing lump near the crown of her head.] I'm sorry she and I made it so difficult for you, Gareth-san - if, um...i-if you're really uncomfortable with everything that happened, I take responsibility for it.

Um...b-but at least we did manage to sort everything out in the end? Ehehe, so long as the mission gets completed, the bumps along the way don't really matter too much, right? [She nearly failed her mid-year hero exam with Aoyama against Thirteen once, but snagged victory right at the end, so...what difference is there? A pass is a pass.]

[beaumains]

[ A small chuckle. ]

Literal bumps, in our case, I suppose.

[ Gareth groaned softly, shifting in the chair to sit herself up, getting ready to head for the inn's kitchen. ]

Well, let's get our familiar's some meat, and get ourselves into the bath. We've all earned it, I say.

[Ochako laughs as well to the little joke, but nods along and follows Gareth to the kitchens to get some fresh meats for their two hungry familiars, as promised. It's going to be a small fee, of course, the Inn needs to make money somehow, what with all these off-worlders staying for free, but given that the duo have some money coming their way soon...Ochako is allowed to put it on credit and they'll auto draft the funds right from her account in about a week.

Once their familiars are both stuffed silly, Ochako will head right for the hot springs to wash up, relax, and finally get some good, good rest...bidding Gareth a pleasant evening as well, and letting her know to take some painkillers before bed if she's really still so achy. A few bumps indeed, but...all's well that ends well, right?]
