A. The Libryrinth (Closed to Harry)

[All things considered, Ken wasn't sure how well this quest will turn out for the both of them. However, after how well the last quest turned out, this one shouldn't be too difficult. It wasn't all that different from the last one they did. The only thing they needed to do was to look around for some symbols and report back, right?

With a sigh, Ken was hiding under a table in a library. As he looked at Harry and his familiar, Jack Frost, he wondered how much longer he had hide in the shadows.]

You doing okay, Harry-san? You don't see the librarian nearby, do you?

B. A Tall Order

[How did Ken end up in this mess? He didn't know but that didn't stop him from looking at the 3 foot elf before crossing his arms. This quest was simple enough but at the same time? It seemed a little too simple as he wondered if there was something he didn't quite understand.

As he looked back at the chair, he mumbled to himself.]

You know, you guys are making a big deal out of nothing. Why do you feel the need to prove yourself to the South Beach Elves?

[He said before said 3 foot elves started bickering at him.]

C. Hugs all around!

[Was it just Ken's imagination or did everyone seem to be a much happier mood lately? He wasn't sure but Ken was no different. As he was out and around with his dog, Koromaru, he decided to do a couple of things to keep this positive mood up. Ever since he got shot with a Cupid's arrow, he was feeling absolutely optimistic and feeling the need to make everyone around him just as equally happy.

Should you see him around, he might either try to tempt you with free food that he made (spoilers: It's fried rice that is just decent at best), going out for a run (and he might bump into you!), or see him randomly talking to Koromaru about why dogs are better than cats.

Pick your poison.]

Company is my favorite distraction from it. And food too but luckily combining those two is really easy!♥ So either I call any friends, that I already have here to meet somewhere as soon as possible, or I go make some new friends!

I’m alright right now. She hasn’t caught me either so far, Ken. I wonder what kind of secrets she is trying to hide in this very place and what those symbols are about.

(A part of Harry makes him reminisce of the times he has to sneak around in the Restricted Area of Hogwarts’s Library to avoid getting caught by Finch and Mrs. Norris with the Invisibility Cloak, but with it being non-functional in Avalon, he has to be on the lookout for the librarian, hide, and try not to make a loud sound.

He is also trying to hear any footsteps she makes while keeping an eye on her to see if it is safe to get out again and find the symbols. Rose is trying not to squeak loudly as much as possible while hiding in his jacket pocket.)

Well, it looks like she is starting to leave this part of the library for now, so we might need to go out and start searching until we can hear footsteps from her again. (He tells Ken this very softly as not to alert the librarian to their presence.)

[Ken didn’t say anything as he was waiting to hear any further footsteps. He had to admit, this wasn’t too different from his time fighting shadows. There was always so much time spent hiding from them to prevent an encounter. However, he shook his head. He couldn’t allow himself to get caught up in the past during a mission like this.

Once the footsteps subsided, that’s when he peeked his head out from under the table.]

How about you take this part of the library and you take that half? I’m sure we’ll find a lot of information that way.

[He said before looking at the area around him. This was going to take quite sometime.]

I’ll have to admit, I am worried the librarian is holding into something we shouldn’t know about.

You definitely have a point there, Ken: who knows what she is hiding from everyone? This reminds me of the times me and my friends uncover several things in our school that most people back home wouldn’t know about like why there was a Basilisk hiding under the school grounds. Sure, that should be do the trick: we can cover more ground in searching around for any symbols or something similar within this library this way.

(He’s going to trust Ken on this method if they want to figure out what is in the library maze. A part of him is hoping to know what are the symbols they are looking for.

Normally, Hermione does the clue finding and he puts two and two together over time, but this time, he has to do both things at the same time, not that he would complain about it though. Just nervous of what lies inside the library maze.)

I think both are okay, actually.

[ Akira assumes that Ken is talking with a dog—even if he can't understand what Koromaru is saying, Ken's lines are enough to realize that this is a cats versus dogs debate. Akira waves at both of them and cuts in, smiling softly. ]

I see you two are getting along. Did you adopt him?

[When Ken saw Akira, there was a huge smile on his face. He already knew the reason why he was feeling so happy but that didn't matter. The only thing Ken wanted to do right now was to make him just as equally happy!]

No, he's my companion from back home! Do you want to pet him?

[He said before raising an eyebrow. Will that get a smile out of the raven haired teen?]

[ The discussion seems to be already over, but Akira doesn't mind. The bright smile on Ken's face makes the corners of his lips quirk up. It looks like it's that time of the year when smiles are contagious...! ]

From back home? [ He can't help but think of Morgana because of course he does. ] Sure. Let's see...

[ Behind the ears is always a good spot, so he scratches Koromaru there. ]

You must be happy to be here with your friend.

[ This isn't happening because of an arrow, not at all. ]

[Elemental magic is versatile, and so his boss can use it for offense and defense! Yamamoto's magic may not seem terribly beneficial in combat, in Gokudera's opinion. However, the baseball idiot at least has a sword. Gokudera has dynamite, but he's not looking to piss off any magical folk. Also, his magic is most defense. He needs to learn something or at least get a less destructive weapon! Arrows seem about right. So, he's taken up an enchanted archery set.

No one said his targets had to consent to being shot, did they? This shouldn't hurt them, so he's not getting in trouble.

He seems quite good with a bow, though, and so he's aiming it off where he maybe shouldn't, and shooting people in broad daylight, giving an excited whoop when he strikes someone.]

Ken?!

[He moves over to pick up his arrow.]

My bad. I got a little carried away.

[Here Ken was trying to run a couple of his errands! All he wanted to do was go out for a run when he felt an arrow shot right at him! For a brief moment, there was a slight panic as he looked around to see if he got injured. As Koromaru continued to bark at his owner in an attempt to calm him down, he happened to see a familiar face.

Suddenly, that's when all his worries seemed to disappear. There was a huge smile when Gokudera approached him. He didn't know why he was feeling so happy but he didn't care.

Right now, he was just so glad to see his friend around!]

N-No, that's okay! What about you? Are you okay? [He said before looking at him. He didn't know why but right now, he just wanted his friend to be just as equally happy as he was!]/small>

[Gokudera puts the arrow back in its quiver, then stays on one knee, looking the boy over to make sure he didn’t actually hurt him. He can’t see where it struck him, and he seems confused about the dog. Since when did Ken have a dog??]

Wha- do I look like I’m not?

[He is indeed not okay, but he’s not unwell... just has some old bruises and some troubled feelings in regards to friendship. Nothing he would hope is visible.]

Well I...kinda died. I guess. But my wounds were mostly healed when I got dumped in the bay here so I really don't know what I'm supposed to get from that.

[ Is that what Karma does? No. Has he ever felt homesick in his life? Also no. Is he keeping an ear out for the sound of somebody ugly sobbing the moment he hits send? Yeah...

But also... look... embarrassment aside, it's good to cry, nobody can fault Karma on this. ]

[Ken didn't respond at first. That was also an option but...]

Because it's embarrassing.

[Look, his pride was at stake here. He wasn't going to let himself cry when he wanted to seem like a mature teenager!!]

[ A part of him is still convinced that this place is some sort of afterlife, but nothing makes him reject the thought as immediately as seeing a familiar little white dog running down the park trail. He immediately drops to a crouch, but the dog's name dies halfway out of his lips when he sees the person Koromaru is with.

No growth spurt is that generous, not in so short amount a time as he's last seen Ken, so he must be mistaken. Koromaru, though, there's no way. Not with those intelligent red eyes. ]

[The moment Koromaru heard his nickname, he was immediately confused as to how this stranger knew his name. As he looked up at him, he tilted his head. This person seems to know him and yet, why didn't Koromaru know him?

At the same time, Ken felt the same way. When he heard this stranger speak his name, he raised an eyebrow.]

Yes, how do you know his name? [He only gotten Koromaru a while back, there was no way his dog could have met him already.]

[The hug had surprised him, the rice more so. It's certainly not the best fried rice Aziraphale has ever had, but then he's had a great deal of options over the years, so it would be difficult to compete. Still, he appreciates the offer and swallows the sample like a good sport.]

You made this yourself, you said? I think it's a very good start. You ought to be tremendously proud.

[You see the look on Ken's face? The fact that there was someone out there telling him he wasn't a bad cook? He was just glowing with a huge smile!]

You really think so? Because I tried my best and especially now that I'm living with a lot of other people. I want to make sure I'm doing the best I can for them!

[Why yes, he was just having the time of his life right now!]

do you have anybody from your home here? i've got my twin and my friends so i just talk to them. but you know, it helps this isn't my first time doing this crap. i haven't been home in over half a year now.

Kind of? I have my dog that I got back but outside of that? Not really. I think that's part of the reason why I'm also feeling homesick too.

But how do you deal with being away from home for that long? I know I couldn't!

[Honestly it's not like him to approach strangers, but of all the familiars he's seen Koromaru looks like the most normal familiar he's seen since arriving here. So, when he spots Ken and the dog locked in a very serious cats vs dogs conversation he steps over, stopping do squat down next to them.]

Is he your familiar? [He assumes as much, really, but the dog could just be a normal pet too, right? Since getting used to his new magical abilities, Tamaki has found himself drawn to animals of all shapes and sizes. Koromaru is no different, familiar or not.]

[In response, Koromaru looked at this mysterious stranger before giving him a happy bark. He didn't know who he was but he wasn't one to say no to friendly people!]

No, he isn't. He's a companion from home! [Ken didn't mean to shout but he was in too good of a mood to ignore Tamaki. As he looked at him for a moment, a small smile appeared on his face.] You want to pet him?
