Winter is here, weather you like it or not
🧙 WHO: Ken Amada and you!
⚔️️ WHAT: February catch all
🕒 WHEN: All of February
🗺️ WHERE: Here there and everywhere
⚠️ WARNINGS: None at the moment, I'll add more should they come up!
A. The Libryrinth (Closed to Harry)
[All things considered, Ken wasn't sure how well this quest will turn out for the both of them. However, after how well the last quest turned out, this one shouldn't be too difficult. It wasn't all that different from the last one they did. The only thing they needed to do was to look around for some symbols and report back, right?
With a sigh, Ken was hiding under a table in a library. As he looked at Harry and his familiar, Jack Frost, he wondered how much longer he had hide in the shadows.]
You doing okay, Harry-san? You don't see the librarian nearby, do you?
B. A Tall Order
[How did Ken end up in this mess? He didn't know but that didn't stop him from looking at the 3 foot elf before crossing his arms. This quest was simple enough but at the same time? It seemed a little too simple as he wondered if there was something he didn't quite understand.
As he looked back at the chair, he mumbled to himself.]
You know, you guys are making a big deal out of nothing. Why do you feel the need to prove yourself to the South Beach Elves?
[He said before said 3 foot elves started bickering at him.]
C. Hugs all around!
[Was it just Ken's imagination or did everyone seem to be a much happier mood lately? He wasn't sure but Ken was no different. As he was out and around with his dog, Koromaru, he decided to do a couple of things to keep this positive mood up. Ever since he got shot with a Cupid's arrow, he was feeling absolutely optimistic and feeling the need to make everyone around him just as equally happy.
Should you see him around, he might either try to tempt you with free food that he made (spoilers: It's fried rice that is just decent at best), going out for a run (and he might bump into you!), or see him randomly talking to Koromaru about why dogs are better than cats.
Pick your poison.]

Quick question, how do you handle being homesick? I've been here for almost 2 months and I am starting to miss a couple of my friends.
What do you do when that happens?

It makes me scared about what other places could bring the despair to others.

Let's see, uh. I come from Japan, it was about 2012 when I left, and I was attending Hope's Peak Academy - where, like, high school students who were the best of the best at what they do, so called Ultimates, were scouted to attend. I'm the Ultimate Fashionista~
The whole school thing was, like, supposed to promote Hope in the future of the nation and all that. But, well... yeah. Didn't entirely work like that. Dunno what else to say beyond things kinda spiralled and, like, everything became something of a warzone.
If we'd had those monsters you talked about, that would have been a serious mess.
[It felt so strange writing all this out. Only afterwards did it occur that she probably shouldn't be telling a relative stranger all this, but what difference did that make here?]
Sorry, I like, totally derailed the conversation there, huh? Your turn! What was your world like?
no subject
So wait, everyone went to school for the purpose of trying to inspire people to hope for Japan? Is there any reason why though? Or why there might be a reason certain groups of students would go to that school?
Because it's not that different from my world.
[Please don't tell Ken there's some kind of Goddess of Death lurking around inside that school. He really didn't want to hear yet another tale of humanity overcoming a god again!]
no subject
...No one said it was a great system. But like I said, most of us were scouted based on our accomplishments. Unless you're the Ultimate Lucky Student, then you got in by lottery.
But that was where it all started, really.
Not too different how?
[No Goddess, only a very, very influential high school girl.]

We were all placed together to form a team to help fight off those creatures as only those people have the power to fight them off.
The worst part was that it was only those people. Everyone else doesn't even know about those creatures or even know there's a 25th hour past midnight.
no subject
...And those creatures were like those despair-monsters right? How do you even fight something like that? I'm guessing you can't just stab or shoot them.
Sorry, sorry, kinda bombarding you with questions! You don't have to answer if you don't wanna.
no subject
And those creatures are just like despair monsters, we have to fight them with something called a Persona. I guess you can think of it as a familiar expect your Persona is like an aspect of yourself. It takes the form of a mythological being that is related to you in some way.
And no, it's okay! You talked about your world and it's only fair that I talk about mine.
no subject
A Persona, huh... I wonder if they're anything like the familiars here, you know? Mean I'm guessing there's gotta be something that links us and our familiars, right?
Cool, cool! Then I won't feel too bad about it then :)
no subject
It is a lot like that! However, Personas don't roam around with us as they're just a part of you. That and you'll need to use a different method to summon them.
Let's just say it's not a really pretty way either.
no subject
Oh okay, so you can like just call them out when you need them? That's pretty useful.
...Do I want to know?

It's so strange how many worlds are out there, huh?
[...Come to think about, with all they'd talked about, something was missing.]
Oh. My name's Junko by the way. Junko Enoshima.
no subject
But my name is Ken Amada, it's nice to meet you, Junko-san. I didn't realize you were Japanese too.
[...Hmmmmmm....]
no subject
Oh, you're Japanese too, Ken? Awesome :)
You're cool with me calling you that right?
[First name basis already!]
no subject
That's rather straightforward of you to say that.
[What's with people and being so casual here??]
no subject
Anyways, I like, totally rambled a lot and sidetracked from the original point, huh? I'll be sure to give you a shout if I think of any super good 'not being homesick' tricks.
no subject
But I don't mind, I was happy to hear more about things about your world! If you do, let me know! I think I'll get over it eventually, it's just me getting use to the environment.
