A. The Libryrinth (Closed to Harry)

[All things considered, Ken wasn't sure how well this quest will turn out for the both of them. However, after how well the last quest turned out, this one shouldn't be too difficult. It wasn't all that different from the last one they did. The only thing they needed to do was to look around for some symbols and report back, right?

With a sigh, Ken was hiding under a table in a library. As he looked at Harry and his familiar, Jack Frost, he wondered how much longer he had hide in the shadows.]

You doing okay, Harry-san? You don't see the librarian nearby, do you?

B. A Tall Order

[How did Ken end up in this mess? He didn't know but that didn't stop him from looking at the 3 foot elf before crossing his arms. This quest was simple enough but at the same time? It seemed a little too simple as he wondered if there was something he didn't quite understand.

As he looked back at the chair, he mumbled to himself.]

You know, you guys are making a big deal out of nothing. Why do you feel the need to prove yourself to the South Beach Elves?

[He said before said 3 foot elves started bickering at him.]

C. Hugs all around!

[Was it just Ken's imagination or did everyone seem to be a much happier mood lately? He wasn't sure but Ken was no different. As he was out and around with his dog, Koromaru, he decided to do a couple of things to keep this positive mood up. Ever since he got shot with a Cupid's arrow, he was feeling absolutely optimistic and feeling the need to make everyone around him just as equally happy.

Should you see him around, he might either try to tempt you with free food that he made (spoilers: It's fried rice that is just decent at best), going out for a run (and he might bump into you!), or see him randomly talking to Koromaru about why dogs are better than cats.

(Harry nods in return as the two of them make their escape from the library, he is keeping an eye on the monster in the event of it trying to attack them.

The maze of bookshelves could have easily gotten anyone lost or confused, though both he and Ken are fairing well so far. Though Harry did saw glimpses of the monster from the holes between bookshelves again, he didn’t want to risk wasting his time fighting it for the time being.)

[As Ken was trying to look through the area, Jack Frost was biting his fingers. The anticipation of what might come was getting to him as he saw the monsters through the holes.

However, they didn't have to wait for long as the monster appeared before lunging an attack right at them!]

Harry-san...! [Ken shouted hoping that his friend was ready to attack back.]

(Uh oh, the monster has finally caught up with them all the sudden! While he initially froze in fear, it didn’t took long before Harry uses his kinetic magic to send the monster flying towards a pile of books to stop its momentum temporarily.

After regrouping himself from the shock, he proceeds to levitate several booms from the bookshelves and command them to attack the monster when it got up.)

Well, I wasn’t expecting the monster to show up all the sudden without warning.

[At the same time, that's when Jack Frost immediately summoned a pillar of ice right at the monster. Having no idea what else to do, Ken quickly made a run toward the entrance.]

Then let's hurry! I'm sure we can get out of here quickly if we distract it long enough! [He said before Jack Frost attempted to create a wall of ice right behind them.]

(Even though he didn’t say a single word, Harry follows through Ken’s words as he also makes a run for the library entrance as fast as he could, not even trying to look back at the monster that may or may not able get up from its book pile daze and running after him, Ken, and Jack Frost.

He could feel his heart racing and adrenaline running his veins as he and Ken head for the entrance as quickly as they can.)

[Running as fast as they could, he didn't dare turn around and look if the monster was coming even closer. However, he does look back at Harry before attempting to grab his hand. Trying his best to fun even faster, he does eventually make it to the entrance.

Of course, not before nearly falling to the ground as he dropped to his knees panting to himself]

H-Harry-san, are you okay? [He said to him before nearly collapsing onto said ground.]

I’m alright... Oh Merlin, Ken, hang in there! Let me help you out.

(As Harry rushes in to Ken’s aid, it wasn’t long before he overhears a loud roar from the monster, alerting him that that creature could be after them. He quickly gets Ken’s arm and drapes it over his neck, and escorts him and Jack Frost away from the library and lets the younger teen lay down on the bench before he shuts the library doors closed before the monster could reach them.)

[Before Ken could react to whatever was going on, that's when he heard the door slam behind him. Trying to catch his breath, he really couldn't believe it. Were they nearly that close to being attacked at the split second?]

T-Thanks, we really need to be more careful with these missions...

[Now that the danger was over? Ken really couldn't help but laugh it off.]

I am also thinking the same way too. I didn’t expect the monster to be that fast to chasing after us in the first place.

(To be fair, he has dealt with scary fantastical creatures in his world, but that’s nothing compared to the monster that he and Ken had just seen in the library: that thing could give the Basilisk a run for its money.)

At least we're safe now! I can't even believe we managed to outrun that thing.

[He said as he was catching his breath. Whatever was going to happen with these future missions, at least Ken knew the danger was starting to ramp up.

Regardless, he gave his hand out to Harry.]

Shall we get going and tell them our report?

Yeah, we shall get back to tell them what we just saw in the library. Hopefully we’ll be more careful next time.

(Well, as he is expecting, something has told him that there is danger out there and it is growing slowly the more he takes some of the quests and the library monster is that one indicator.

He takes Ken’s hand and the two heads leaves the library, as Harry tries to sink in what he has seen and been through in there.)
