[It's been a hell of a year, or close enough to it, for Ochako and her many friends here. From the varying trials and tribulations of general quests, to the more perilous missions between kingdoms, to new beginnings and changing tides...it's all a path forward on the long road of life. Despite the difficulties, Ochako's been able to reflect on this past year and finally find herself a bit - a new title and a new, but still somewhat the same, purpose in this world. Something given, something earned (even if she doesn't really see it that way, yet), but still very much hers.

Lady Uraraka (hrrgh...it'll never feel normal, yikes) is throwing a bit of a holiday celebration at her small castle to celebrate the coming and going of a full year. Not only that, but also Christmas prior, and even her birthday as well! All friends she knows, and anyone those friends care to invite, are welcome!! They'll be guided to a decently sized ballroom where several tables have been set up for people to relax and eat, and a separate table for gift giving and gift receiving as well!

This is a list of gifts Ochako will be giving out to people for the holidays!! Major CR will get their own posts to keep it organized, but all attendees will receive a gift basket of hand-made mochi in varying flavors Ochako made herself, a bunch of holiday cookies and candies, and a small bouquet of daffodils.]

[Though there are a multitude of buffet options friends and guests alike can enjoy with varying foods and delicious, hot soups (one being Kansai-style ozoni, which Ochako had very strict specifications for) - fried chicken as the Japanese Christmas tradition, a whole roast and trimmed turkey and ham, lots of sides, tons of fish, and an array of roasted veggies and fruits - each table will be adorned with a hotpot for people to enjoy that option as well!!

This is a more vegetarian option, as the meats are added to the broth after, and most of the veggies and tofu are cooked beforehand in a khombu broth!! Enjoy the rich taste of shabu shabu for the holidays!

Meat eaters will be asked to hold off dipping their meats into the broth until those not partial to it have had their serving first. Please be considerate to their needs. ♥]

[Gokudera’s request for vegetarian options on his girlfriend’s behalf was acknowledged and he’s tickled about it. Honestly, he’s even going to police some of that broth so Aurora’s dietary restrictions can be respected. He won’t be as grumpy as usual because… he has alcohol. Don’t ask how he got it, or get upset. He does not care about staying sober when he’s celebrating and after all of the grown-up shit he’d been through. He’s drinking, pink-cheeked and looking more comfortable in a black loose turtleneck under a grey and white checkered sweater. He has his usual black jeans and excess of belts on, chain clipped to a belt loop and hopefully connected to a wallet in his pocket.

Talk to him, thank him for a gift? Give him one directly? Enjoy some food with him.

If you are holding a glass, he will attempt to click his against yours. It does not matter who you are. Even Beowulf would get some holiday well-wishes, despite Gokudera hating his guts.

Shinsou Peoplewatching & Hotpot [Prompt #2]

[ While the underaged drinking shenanigans are taking place at a nearby table, Shinsou is watching with some amusement. He doesn't look dressed for the holiday at all, but at least he's here and not embarrassing himself the way that that guy is.

He picks up a plate from the buffet and finds an empty table to sit at. Feel free to join him. He can explain the Hotpot situation if folks need it; think Fondue. Since he started at an empty table, he's not waiting around for any Vegetarian requirements first.

While he has a view of the rest of the room, he's also spotted the Mochitsuki stations. He tilts his head with interest as some folks are looking like they might give it a shot. It's a very wild thing to watch at any rate, in his opinion, as this very traditional Japanese thing (video) happens in the middle of a very Western castle. ]

Closed to Izuku

[It's finally time to dig in!! Sitting amongst friends at her own table, the so-called "Lady of the House" finally gets to serve herself some of that delicious hot pot. Mostly, Ochako's been bustling around as well, talking to people, giving gifts, and just managing everything to make sure people were enjoying themselves. It's...a lot of work!! But also a ton of fun, and her cheeks actually kind of hurt from all the smiling she's been doing.

Finally, she can sit and rest, and energize herself with delicious food. She sits right next to Deku and places down her mug of tea to reach for the cover of the hot pot. All the veggies and tofu should be done bubbling away by now.]

Deku-kun, you can go first if you want. Do you need any more sauce? I have some daikon on this side, too, if you don't have any.

[As the main suspect to whom brought the alcoholic drinks Venti may or may not have dodged Ochako every now and then to make sure she doesn't take away his wine again. The girl is a clever menace and he does not want to lose it to her a second time...!

But he can't help sneaking closer when he sees the spread of food. While not the biggest meat eater there is he does pick at it from time to time. It's the vegetarian option that catches his eye as well as the brothy soup and what is that... tofu? Fish?]

Ehehe... What should I start with? It all looks so wonderfully delicious!

[The food here is absolutely delicious, and it seems as though no expense was spared for this bounteous feast. Fumikage can be found here on occasion, helping himself to a few foods and warm drinks. He may be lingering closer to some of the apple-flavoured foods and desserts, because even after his apple-themed disaster recently, he still likes the tasty fruit.]

[There's another here by the foods as well. For those who might be trying to help themselves to some food, they might notice a dark, shadowy hand reaching over and snatching their desired food away just before they do. The culprit is Dark Shadow, who looks completely unapologetic as he munches on the pilfered food.]

Everything's so tasty here!

MOCHITSUKI

[Also know as...mochi pounding!

Because this is New Years tradition, and one of Ochako absolute favorite activities ever, she used a bit of magic (and also a bit of help as well) to create a small station for guests to try their hand at pounding mochi! An usu and kine have been crafted for use by all daring enough to try - Ochako will reiterate that this is relatively dangerous!! True synchronization is key to keeping the one turning the mochi safe hand without any bonked hands/fingies, so don't be reckless!

She is an old hand at this, though, and will gladly instruct others on how to do it. And, of course, they mochi they make is theirs to keep and consume.]

[ So Alberto has been particularly excited about this part, Ochako — even if she put the kibosh on the idea of "magic mocchizucchi" using her kinetic magic to help in the process... which he's still pretty disappointed about, but eh, così è la vita. He's still no less eager to figure out what exactly this mochi stuff is... aaand to hit things with a giant hammer.

Ochako, you better be a great instructor if you like having fingers, because Alberto's enthusiasm is unmatched. And that's usually pretty dangerous as it is, even when he doesn't have a giant hammer in his hands. ]

All right, andiamo, let's do this! I'm ready!

[ Too ready... You see that determination in his smile, that spark in his eyes? It's mildly foreboding. Just slightly. ]

[ Amy is a least a little familiar with this tradition, though admittedly has never participated in it herself. Still, she's at least willing to learn, as she picks up the kine and gives it an experimental toss in the air, trying to get a better idea of its weight. ]

It's a little lighter than I'm used to, but I'll manage. I'd probably be better at this than doing the other part.

Closed to Bakugou

[Wouldn't you know it, but Ochako actually did wear the sweater Bakugou gifted her for tonight's festivities. It may be supposed "ugly", but she thinks it's quite cute, and it's actually rather comfortable and soft. It's even large on her small frame, making it the perfect thing to just cuddle into on a cold night.

She moment she sees Bakugou, Ochako lights up, bouncing over to him with a huge smile. Yeah, Izuku is undoubtedly the one that dragged him along, but she's always happy to see him come regardless. He's always welcome and invited in her home, wherever it may be.]

Bakugou, hey! I'm so glad you came!! Oh, and thanks so much for the gifts, too, I loved them all so much...and this sweater is so cute!! Ne, ne, do you want to make some mochi together? I bet we could make some really, really tasty ones! I can swing and you turn, or your swing and I turn?

[It isn't the fun part he's focused on. He sees the booth and thinks challenge, and then he's losing himself in effort, folding strawberry mochi-mix under hammered down kine. He's seen street vendors work before... and this is who he's miming; his drop from formal, losing his jacket, sleeves gathered above his elbows and chopping down rhythmically. His magic's momentum: wrists and arms strengthened with unseen enhancements. With all the force he seems capable of, softening the mix with seamless water spells.

He's echoing metalwork—to forge something special. The steeled endurance drilled into him shining in practice. Only vaguely aware of others... that he's meant to share effort. With shaky timing, an aura of focus and beginner's attempt at coordination, his thoughts consumed silence, his aim's for best technique, the best texture, number one in this also: Shoto's Plus Ultra Mochi.

At this point, he's training. He's doing his best!

It's not unlike fighting. He's terribly determined. He... is stuck on step one.]

[For all your non-food related shenanigans and interactions with party goers. Feel free to chat with others you don't know! Have fun!! There is dancing and absolutely music being played here as well. Laugh, drink (drinks served are nonalcoholic, unless you degenerates byob'd.), and make merry!!]

[ Alberto is over the moon to be here... in a castle, yes, but at a party. He's never been to a party! He was excited to help Ochako cook this feast for it, sure, and the excitement began then, but it's only increased throughout the night, and even just a quick glance at his general demeanor shows how giddy he is over the whole affair.

He's brought his (rather antique-looking) Polaroid camera and has been taking random photographs all night. He may just choose interesting subjects in Ochako's new castle, definitely a few pictures of the wide spread of food (to "send" to Luca someday, you know), but there's naturally a fair few pictures of fellow partygoers... whether he knows them or not! If, after the 60-90 seconds it takes for the print-out photo to develop, he deems it's a decent picture (or a lousy one he doesn't wanna keep, cuz obviously he's keeping the best for his own collection, ahem), he might approach the subject of the photo to give it to them if they wanna keep it. Free photography services, nice. That's his gift to everyone. Appreciated or not, ahem, being photographed without permission and all... Oops.

Otherwise, find Alberto having an obvious blast throughout the rest of the night...! He's in high spirits, dancing wildly to the music. He's, uh, not the best dancer, but... he's clearly having a great time, undeterred, without a shred of self-consciousness around anyone who'll dance with him in the crowd, and that counts for a lot. Unbridled enthusiasm, that's the name of the game tonight, ragazzi...! ]

[ Amy doesn't really consider herself much of a wallflower, and is more than happy to mingle and get to know people. But occasionally one might catch the hedgehog girl standing off the side, watching people for the most part while drinking something warm. She probably wouldn't be opposed to a conversation, though.

Just standing around gets pretty boring after a while, though, so when she gets tired of that Amy hits up the dance floor, having fun and losing herself in the music. ]

Shinsou Arrives [Prompt #1]

[ Shinsou is in a bit of a daze. He 'woke up' a few hours ago to find that a lot had changed around this new world but - unlike last time - he was pretty sure that more changed here than back home. In fact, he didn't have any new memories at all. So while he's been puzzling away about that, he also found his invitation.

Castle? That has to just be a name, right? ]

... Apparently not.

[ He stands outside Ochako's new residence in stunned silence before eventually being led inside to the ballroom. Of course, he's still in shock there too, so feel free to approach him while he takes everything in and scratches the back of his head in confusion. ]

[It's the holidays! And if he remembers correctly it's around the same time as her birthday too! Izuku comes to see her with a happy wave and wearing a very ridiculous looking Christmas sweater.]

[Tsuna is here as Gokudera's plus one, and so he feels a little awkward. Having never really been a party-goer (Because who would invite Loser Tsuna?), and not necessarily knowing the owner of the castle, Tsuna is not entirely sure what to do. But Gokudera had asked and he's not about to let his best friend down.

So Tsuna is a little off to the side, eyeing the food table but generally staying where he is. There is a part of him that's worried that he will knock something over, or cause some other form of chaos. He wouldn't put it past himself.

But, maybe he'll get something to eat in a bit. Maybe he's inching his way towards the food table.]

the only ota that matters - THE ESCAPE

[ Who is the grouchiest looking asshole at this party? Obviously Katsuki. It's clear that he's not really comfortable being here and with people. Most of the time he's just sticking off to the side or along the fringes. He doesn't particularly engage unless someone comes to him first. Even then it's still growly and bitey, as he usually is.

Until about maybe later in the evening. His posture starts to change. More relaxed. There's less pinching of his brows and maybe those crimson eyes have a bit of redness to them that comes from what? Being tired. This is when the blonde might actually get up to try to leave, hands in pockets and maybe even wobbling a little in his steps. ]

Closed to Zuko and Ochako

[Gokudera is approaching Ochako from where he’d wandered off to clean a table. He’s definitely not sober at all and when he spots her, taps her shoulder, but it’s more of a shove to her shoulder blade.]

[Did he run over to her? He’s a bit wobbly.]

[He looks over his shoulder with all the eagerness of a child being pursued in a game of tag.]

[Hearing that his friend has recently acquired a castle is fantastic news, and Fumikage might have spent some extra time just exploring and appreciating the castle when he arrived. So he might have been a little late to the party itself, but he's]

[For those who might not know the bird-headed hero, he might seem rather aloof and stoic in his appearance, even intimidating, like a shadow on the wall. But he will turn to whoever is near him, he will offer a small smile.]

The atmosphere here is quite pleasant, isn't it? It has been a while since I attended such a party.

[He's also not here alone. On his back is a large backpack, which is mostly zipped up save for one small opening that can be zipped open or closed from the inside. Occasionally, if it's not too bright, Dark Shadow will peek out and wave to those nearby (or across the room). Despite his spooky, shadowy appearance, Dark Shadow has a very big smile on his beaked face. Party time! Party time!]

FIRE WORKS

[No holiday party would be complete without fireworks! At the end of the night, Ochako will have everyone head outside into the gardens where a lovely round of fireworks are shot off over the fields to celebrate the coming and going of the New Year. Bundle up, it's cold out there!!

Thick and cozy blankets will be provided to sit on and cuddle in, as well as hot tea and cocoa as well.]

[ Sooo, the party was totally fun and all, but this is the highlight of Alberto's night, hands down. It's the second time in his life he's seen actual fireworks, and he's absolutely transfixed, cozied up in his blanket, hugging his legs close to himself, leaning forward with the most dazzled expression on his face — a dreamy smile that won't fade, eyes so wide and bright you can practically see the fireworks reflected in them...

The first time he saw fireworks was shortly after his arrival in August, and it has sparked a several-month-long obsession ever since. But he's only had his own imagination at his disposal since then, partnered with his best friend's elemental magic and the promise of tutelage from another light mage with an expertise in explosives. He likes the big kind like this that go boom — the real fireworks. So you bet he's already taken a nice Polaroid of one of the more impressive blooms. He's even got his phone propped up carefully beside him to record a video of the sky above for future reference.

Reference, because, above anything else he's learned to do with his light magic here, he's practiced the most at creating his own magic fireworks illusions...! As he sits and watches, occasionally he'll draw his hands out before him to try and mimic the shapes and colors he sees in the beautiful display overhead, creating tiny silent replicas of the fireworks from thin air in front of him. He's gotten pretty good at it, actually. ...Nevermind that this is pretty much the best of what he can do with his light magic, still, but hey, practice makes perfect.

The flashing lights and colorful mini explosions so close to the ground surely draw the eye of anyone passing by or sitting near Alberto, huddled there on his own entertaining himself. He's socialized all night, and he's almost always down to socialize more, but this...? This is for him. Interrupt him, compliment him, express concern in case those are somehow magically real explosions, or just pleasantly join him in his awestruck study session here.

This really is honestly about the closest Alberto's ever gotten to studying, so... bravo, Albertino. ]
