Back to Basics
🧙 WHO: Din and whoever wants to join him
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests and the like
🕒 WHEN: Throughout August
🗺️ WHERE: In town mostly
⚠️ WARNINGS: Violence, fighting, will update as necessary
A - Animal Mage Hunt
[Din would hardly count himself an active defender of the downtrodden. He's had his moments, certainly, but his career often puts him in a place where that's not what he's paid to do. And maybe, once upon a time, he would have taken a job like this on. Wouldn't change the fact that it just seems inefficient, unnecessary. Lazy, for lack of a better term.
So when he comes across a group accosting a potential animal mage, he sighs, figuring he might as well do something about it.]
You really looking to waste time like this?
[He says, pointing his blaster into the leader's back. There's a small group of them but well, he likes the odds. He calls to the person being held up.]
You okay?
B - Invasive Species
[It was, in retrospect, not the most well thought out plan he's ever had.
Really, he should have expected the exoskeleton, though most of his focus had been on the stinger, and the claws. But it's exceedingly clear that his conventional weapons are not going to be as effective.
He sits up, checking himself over. Nothing's broken and once again, the beskar has held up. He's grateful for that. He takes a breath.]
Okay, plan B.
C - Crystal Mushrooms
[Now this is familiar territory. A dingy bar, rough looking customers, Din standing out because of his armour. He knows how this one plays. Certainly, he doesn't expect anyone to recognize him as a Mandalorian here but hopefully it's just as intimidating. He goes up to the bar, leaning on it and ignoring the looks he's getting. Once he has the barkeep's attention, he asks]
I'm looking for Wicked Wendy. Heard this was a hang out of her's.

She had a great vantage point from where she was seated. The rooftops were often a spot the gunner found herself while she was within civilization. There was only so much human interaction she cared about. With the problem on the ground not far from where she was, Elza was content to watch everything unfold.
It wasn't like she'd been paid to help and it was far too much effort to do it from the 'goodness of her own heart'.
Still her interest had been perked though when a familiar figure came strolling towards the group.
Mando.
Now... this was starting to get interesting.]

He's got the hunters' attention, and has indicated to the Animal Mages that they should probably move along. This situation is about to get messy. Especially since the Hunters aren't too happy about losing their targets.
Now, the thing about Camelot that Din has noticed is that for the most part it seems a rather civilized city (the Dark Net quests aside), so that probably means that he shouldn't just shoot these guys and be done with it. But there are other ways of dealing with the situation.
One of them charges, aiming for a haymaker but being momentarily stunned by the armour. Din registers the impact but takes no damage, turning to land a blow of his own. It leaves his back open, but he doesn't seem too concerned.]

It didn't take long for the show to start. Taking a sip from her drink, the bitter liquid warmed her chest as the first thug charged forward. She shook her head and lightly chuckled in amusement when the thug's attempt left him momentarily dazed and confused.
Mando's return blow wasn't surprising, but she did wonder why he opted for the up close and personal rather than just dealing with the situation with that gun of his. Perhaps he needed to blow off a little steam? She had seen those in her travels who needed such things, but this man didn't exactly strike her as that type.]
no subject
Two left, but they've backed off a bit and one is channeling magic for a spell.]
no subject
She watched as the remaining two backed away a little to give space. Unlike in her world, there wasn't the tell-tale sound of that chime when the runes activated. Here it seemed to be more silent... which seemed to work out in her favour at least when she wanted to get things done silently.
Elza was curious to see what Mando would do next though, so she continued to watch with interest.]

Though, with his whip still wrapped around his initial opponent, it's put him in a bit of a bind. he can't exactly let go of one to take care of the other. Not without detaching the cord.]

B
[He asks it with impatience or fear. He just...sounds as mild and calm as ever.]
Perhaps we should try targeting the joints.
no subject
Might be time to come up with one. Because that didn't work.
Joints seems like a good first time. Or flipping them over somehow.
no subject
[He looks thoughtful for a moment though.] Protective magic is a part of healing magic. I could make your armour more durable for a little while.
no subject
I was thinking something with my kinetic magic might help.
[If it can let him take a few more hits while he gets in close, that might help.]
no subject
It won't make you invulnerable, but it will help a little.
[Then he drew his hand back with a thoughtful sort of look.] If you can flip them I could probably hold them down. [Which gives them a chance to attack, perhaps?]

[Did they even discuss a Plan B?
Kaeya's not exactly thrilled to be in this situation either. He brushes off his arm, looking half annoyed and amused as he can be.]
no subject
I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise, I was just thinking of finding a way to flip them over.
[He doesn't tend to rely on his magic, but that might do something.]
no subject
Sometimes the best way to do things is by going on the offensive.
[Even if it means just flipping things over. Kaeya would be all too open for that.]
no subject
[He's open to suggestions but if there are none, let the flipping begin.]

[It's said with a good measure of confidence. He's not quite ready to pull the trigger, wanting to give this gang at least a chance to surrender. But it is really unfortunate how no one ever seems to take that chance.
Din steps back as one of the hunters charges and swings wildly at him, before shifting to return the punch straight to his gut.]

no subject
There's a bit of shoving until Din manages to wrench the hunter over in Keith's direction.]
no subject
Keith lowered his sword and picked up the second weapon, a black and white katar-like weapon with two small, cyan-colored lights near the handle. He then glanced back over his shoulder at his 'rescuer', not yet putting either sword away.]
Are you legitimately helping or trying to cash in on the bounty yourself?
[Keith had good reason to be wary, after all.]

B. CW: Language
[From seemingly out of nowhere, a scantily clad woman leaps down onto the creature; a pair of wicked looking serrated swords leading the charge. She manages to slice through between the armor plating, leaving the creature clean in two. She flips off and lands on her feet next to the man? (she can't tell through the armor) she had just assisted.
Of course that wasn't the only scorpion in the area as two more approached.]
no subject
[He says flatly, from the ground. Though it's hardly the first time he's been flung like that. And at least his armour is maintaining its integrity. Something tells him that Beskar is at a premium here. Still, he's able to stand.
And he's grateful for the help, especially as more show up. Time for a different tactic.]
Are you sticking around?
no subject
Why the hell not. [She shrugs a shoulder and comments nonchalantly, not phased by his flat tone.] There's shit to kill? I'm there!
[She readies her swords for another attack, though this time she's going to have to come from below.]
no subject
Good, I could use the help.
Think you can knock them over?
no subject
Its spindly little legs scuttled in the open air like a turtle on its back.]
Got it!
[The second was a little trickier and didn't fall for her flank-maneuver. So instead, in a split second, she created a shadow with her dark magic and tossed one of her swords up for the shadow to catch. In that same instant, she planted her hand on the beast's head, using it as a springboard to flip up, over and behind it. The shadow tossed the blade back and she repeated her previous tactic. Really, it wasn't a tactic at all. She was flying by the seat of her... panties? She wasn't exactly wearing pants.]

Sure, and no worries. I'd be down for throwing them together again sometime
End on your next one then.
