Back to Basics
🧙 WHO: Din and whoever wants to join him
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests and the like
🕒 WHEN: Throughout August
🗺️ WHERE: In town mostly
⚠️ WARNINGS: Violence, fighting, will update as necessary
A - Animal Mage Hunt
[Din would hardly count himself an active defender of the downtrodden. He's had his moments, certainly, but his career often puts him in a place where that's not what he's paid to do. And maybe, once upon a time, he would have taken a job like this on. Wouldn't change the fact that it just seems inefficient, unnecessary. Lazy, for lack of a better term.
So when he comes across a group accosting a potential animal mage, he sighs, figuring he might as well do something about it.]
You really looking to waste time like this?
[He says, pointing his blaster into the leader's back. There's a small group of them but well, he likes the odds. He calls to the person being held up.]
You okay?
B - Invasive Species
[It was, in retrospect, not the most well thought out plan he's ever had.
Really, he should have expected the exoskeleton, though most of his focus had been on the stinger, and the claws. But it's exceedingly clear that his conventional weapons are not going to be as effective.
He sits up, checking himself over. Nothing's broken and once again, the beskar has held up. He's grateful for that. He takes a breath.]
Okay, plan B.
C - Crystal Mushrooms
[Now this is familiar territory. A dingy bar, rough looking customers, Din standing out because of his armour. He knows how this one plays. Certainly, he doesn't expect anyone to recognize him as a Mandalorian here but hopefully it's just as intimidating. He goes up to the bar, leaning on it and ignoring the looks he's getting. Once he has the barkeep's attention, he asks]
I'm looking for Wicked Wendy. Heard this was a hang out of her's.

He's got the hunters' attention, and has indicated to the Animal Mages that they should probably move along. This situation is about to get messy. Especially since the Hunters aren't too happy about losing their targets.
Now, the thing about Camelot that Din has noticed is that for the most part it seems a rather civilized city (the Dark Net quests aside), so that probably means that he shouldn't just shoot these guys and be done with it. But there are other ways of dealing with the situation.
One of them charges, aiming for a haymaker but being momentarily stunned by the armour. Din registers the impact but takes no damage, turning to land a blow of his own. It leaves his back open, but he doesn't seem too concerned.]

It didn't take long for the show to start. Taking a sip from her drink, the bitter liquid warmed her chest as the first thug charged forward. She shook her head and lightly chuckled in amusement when the thug's attempt left him momentarily dazed and confused.
Mando's return blow wasn't surprising, but she did wonder why he opted for the up close and personal rather than just dealing with the situation with that gun of his. Perhaps he needed to blow off a little steam? She had seen those in her travels who needed such things, but this man didn't exactly strike her as that type.]

Two left, but they've backed off a bit and one is channeling magic for a spell.]
no subject
She watched as the remaining two backed away a little to give space. Unlike in her world, there wasn't the tell-tale sound of that chime when the runes activated. Here it seemed to be more silent... which seemed to work out in her favour at least when she wanted to get things done silently.
Elza was curious to see what Mando would do next though, so she continued to watch with interest.]

Though, with his whip still wrapped around his initial opponent, it's put him in a bit of a bind. he can't exactly let go of one to take care of the other. Not without detaching the cord.]

She had to give it to him for keeping tactics as peaceful as possible. Elza only ever had two methods of dealing with targets - death or humiliation.
Watching as the second began to prepare another blast, the gunner's attention drifted back to Mando. He seemed decent enough along with his skills.
Placing her cup in one hand, the gunner disappeared in a blink of an eye only to reappear directly behind the target left freestanding.
She had a smile on her face while she pressed the end of Mond to the targets back. It was impossible to see the dueling pistol from beneath the fold of her cloak, but only to the man, there was no doubt to what it was. Sturm was safely strapped across her back.]
How about you both leave before I introduce myself to your insides, hmm? [It was asked casually, as if she were talking about the weather, before she took a sip of the warm coffee. There was no mistaking her intentions though.]
no subject
Din gives Elza a nod before turning back to his other opponent, knocking him out with a sharp kick.]
Okay, okay, you got us! I'll stop!
[The man says, panicked.]
no subject
What do you want done with them?
[She's asking Mando while seemingly ignoring the man's existence. They were just attacking him after all so it was his choice what their fate was.]
[ooc: so sorry for the delay. This last week has been crazy with lockdowns which has left me busier and more exhausted.]
no worries
We can tie them up, and I'll alert the authorities. Let them deal with it.
I doubt there's a bounty on them in any case.
no subject
Very well. [She shoved the target hard against the back.] Face down on the ground and hands behind your back.
[Elza didn't have rope, but she did carry around with her a thin length of wire. Using that she knelt down on his back to bind his wrists together.]
Bounty huh? [She conversationally mentioned while focusing on the task at hand.] So are you some kind of bounty hunter or something? [The thing with the deer was starting to make more sense now if that were the case.]
no subject
[He'd use his cuffs but he only has the pair and they're hardly worth using on a guy he's probably just going to leave. He goes to move the other bodies.]
And it comes in handy now and then.
no subject
Circumstances do have a way of making that happen. [Elza couldn't agree more with that even if she hated admitting it.
Tying off her wire, the gunner was slightly tempted to make it just that too tight to make the target uncomfortable. She ignored the way the man under her struggled against the firm bindings while she considered her options. No, she wouldn't. She'd honour his request to have him just bound.
With that sorted, she moved to stand up. Elza kept a boot firmly on the down man's back while she watched where Mando took his quarry.] Did that antler bring you what you needed?
no subject
Though that was more of a result of my bargaining magic. I'm still learning to understand it.
[And he doesn't want to be sent on another troublesome quest.]
What would be the best way to contact the authorities?
no subject
Bargaining magic? She hadn't heard of that one before. Quite fitting for one who used to be in the bounty profession.]
Yes I can imagine so.
[His question was one she initially thought he was asking in jest. Would she know the best way to contact the authorities? Then, she realised that Mando was actually being serious and it took more effort than she thought not to laugh at his question. So she offered a small amused chuckle instead.]
I'm not exactly one who cares about contacting any form of authorities. [The orders were offered with a calm smile. Although, she did take a moment to glance down at the thug beneath her boot.] Although I suppose I do know of a knight you could call. It seems right up his alley.
no subject
[Neither is he. Usually he's the one bringing in the bounties but if there isn't any, there's not much of a point. But he can't really just leave them here. Tied up or not, they'll still likely cause trouble.]
That works, if he's available. If not, might just have to leave them.
no subject
Elza wasn't about to use her own. No, she doesn't trust technology or it being secure enough to not let information fall into the wrong hands... so instead...]
Hand me that communication device of yours.
[She dug her boot once again into the back of the assailant before moving off of him to go and collect the phone. Her gesture was enough of a warning not to try something stupid. If he did... well... she couldn't be to blame for whatever happened to him after.]
no subject
He digs out his phone, considering for a moment before passing it over. He really only uses it for the quest board so there's nothing to hide.]
Here.
no subject
Thankfully Elza wasn't going interested in going through his phone. So when she took it, she went straight to the messaging section and began looking up Hijikata's information.
Finding it she typed out a simple message to the knight.
She didn't hand the phone back just yet while she waited for a reply. Instead she held it in her hand while she gestured at the bound assailants.]
May I ask what all of this was about?
no subject
If I got lucky, I was thinking I could bring whoever caused it in.
