Back to Basics
🧙 WHO: Din and whoever wants to join him
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests and the like
🕒 WHEN: Throughout August
🗺️ WHERE: In town mostly
⚠️ WARNINGS: Violence, fighting, will update as necessary
A - Animal Mage Hunt
[Din would hardly count himself an active defender of the downtrodden. He's had his moments, certainly, but his career often puts him in a place where that's not what he's paid to do. And maybe, once upon a time, he would have taken a job like this on. Wouldn't change the fact that it just seems inefficient, unnecessary. Lazy, for lack of a better term.
So when he comes across a group accosting a potential animal mage, he sighs, figuring he might as well do something about it.]
You really looking to waste time like this?
[He says, pointing his blaster into the leader's back. There's a small group of them but well, he likes the odds. He calls to the person being held up.]
You okay?
B - Invasive Species
[It was, in retrospect, not the most well thought out plan he's ever had.
Really, he should have expected the exoskeleton, though most of his focus had been on the stinger, and the claws. But it's exceedingly clear that his conventional weapons are not going to be as effective.
He sits up, checking himself over. Nothing's broken and once again, the beskar has held up. He's grateful for that. He takes a breath.]
Okay, plan B.
C - Crystal Mushrooms
[Now this is familiar territory. A dingy bar, rough looking customers, Din standing out because of his armour. He knows how this one plays. Certainly, he doesn't expect anyone to recognize him as a Mandalorian here but hopefully it's just as intimidating. He goes up to the bar, leaning on it and ignoring the looks he's getting. Once he has the barkeep's attention, he asks]
I'm looking for Wicked Wendy. Heard this was a hang out of her's.

[Keith said with with a grumble. He definitely wasn't happy about it.]
They've been after anyone with animal magic since the beginning of the month. I've been trying to figure out who posted the bounty, but... no good leads, yet. And, since I have animal magic, it's been harder because people keep coming after me.
no subject
So these are the first guys you've had to deal with.
Can they track your magic? What was your last lead?
no subject
Not exactly. I've dealt with a few already... I'm just lucky that they keep finding me.
[Sarcasm... even Keith could get that one. Not that his delivery was all that great sometimes. He could be a little deadpan and hard to read unless his temper was flaring up.]
But no... I don't think that's how they're finding me. I've never exactly been secretive of what kind of magic I have, and I was using the animal side of it a lot earlier this month when we were out herding the livestock back to the farms. It wouldn't surprise me if someone spotted me transforming or something then.
[He sighed.]
So far, not much about the whoever it was who posted the ad for the bounty. But, apparently, the prank for these stupid animal parts was a college fraternity dare or something. [Keith's cat tail swished angrily behind him as his ears almost flattened against his head completely.] Which, yeah... great. But I don't care about the actual prank. The jerk who posted the bounty is the problem and the one who's getting people hurt and possibly killed.
no subject
Still, that's a lead. I can ask around at the school. Someone probably knows something.
[He's had less to go on for some hunts. He glances at the tail and ears.]
Those permanent? They might also be causing you to stick out.
no subject
No. [Keith shook his head.] At least, I hope not. [The ears folded back slightly in annoyance.] The prank was pretty wide spread and quite a few people ended up being accidental targets... myself included, apparently. And whatever spell they cast is powerful enough that it's working against my own animal magic. I can't get them to go away, and I've gotten pretty good at the transformation stuff.
no subject
That's unfortunate. All the more reason to find them then.
Though you might want to get a hat or something. Could save you the trouble.
no subject
[The helmet from his armor was kind of uncomfortable with it, really... not to mention the tail situation.]
If you find anything, let me know. The more people we have working on this, the better.
no subject
[Not to toot his own horn, but he is good at his job. He knows how to find people.]
And I will. I'm gonna guess there's other people looking for him so the more information, the better.
no subject
At this point, the attacks are getting frequent enough, I'd be surprised if we were the only ones trying to gather what info we can.
[The cat ears on his head swiveled at the sound of people approaching. Rumors of a street fight had drawn the attention of law enforcement.]
Guess we've got a story to give... [Keith had a feeling he was going to become well-acquainted with the police here. He just hoped it would end up a better relationship than the local officials back home where he grew up.]
no subject
Guess so, hopefully it won't take long.
Though, if others are looking, might be a time to pool together the information.
no subject
[Keith crossed his arms, deciding to wait so he could talk to the approaching Camelot officials, and gave his side of the story when they got there.]
