[Open] When You Do Nice Things
🧙 WHO: Naomi Kimishima and You
⚔️️ WHAT: Helping clear up the Forest of the Felled and curing people... as usual. Catch-all for November
🕒 WHEN: All throughout November until Event
🗺️ WHERE: Forest of the Felled and Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: In the Forest of the Felled, but insomniac healer. However, may be warnings depending on thread directions so will update as they come.
[As the forest was, there shouldn't be any issues clearing it out, but someone apparently ticked the Naiads off and now, there was a basilisk. At least it wasn't like the serpent she'd always heard about, but having some allies paralyzed would not do.]
[Still, a flower that hadn't been seen for years being the cure? And not to mention, these traps...]
Why did they set this one up?
[Hadn't the main issue with the Forest been spirits? None of these would hold the creatures that had become a problem. Whoever had set off this net she was stuck in at the moment was getting a look from her direction. She should've stayed at the hospital...]
[When she first saw the creature upon the chest of another sleeping nearby, she wasn't sure what she was seeing. However, the conscious effort of their apparent attack on the person does process - enough that she'll borrow a companion's weapon (whatever it may be) and attack it, knocking it off without much hesitation.]
[But whatever it was doing had already started. As she's not a cognitive mage, she cannot do anything, but she could confront the demon.]
Try to wake them. I'll hold it off.
[Another month, a coming season, and it was about that time a yearly disease should come around. It really was thanks to her world that Naomi didn't catch many common maladies, but this Magical Flu had other problematic factors that weren't from catching it.]
[At a knock, she looked over at the door.]
Enter slowly... but if you're about to sneeze, do so before you enter.
[And let's not destroy her office space on accident with some leaking magic.]
[OOC: Any prompts you're interested in threading with Naomi that aren't here? Hit me up at
demidemonLove. She's not an active quest taker since she has a job, but she can be dragged into them like the quest with the fear gorta, butterflying lettuce, and even the gancanagh (she's an adult, it's all good).]

I. A Cure on Cloud Nine
[As the forest was, there shouldn't be any issues clearing it out, but someone apparently ticked the Naiads off and now, there was a basilisk. At least it wasn't like the serpent she'd always heard about, but having some allies paralyzed would not do.]

II. Paralysis, Paralysis, and Paralysis Again

III. General Clinic (but it's Magical Flu Season)
[Another month, a coming season, and it was about that time a yearly disease should come around. It really was thanks to her world that Naomi didn't catch many common maladies, but this Magical Flu had other problematic factors that weren't from catching it.]
[At a knock, she looked over at the door.]

IV. Wildcard

[Jean has, unfortunately, been hit with the magical flu. It's likely obvious since he has tiger ears currently stuck on his head and he's wearing a facemask to protect anyone around him.]
I've been trying to heal myself, but I don't think I'm strong enough to actually deal with this type of flu.
no subject
It may also be something about the magical nature of this illness prevents self-healing through magic. And since that would push people to see a doctor, it would also allow it to spread.
[She's call it nefarious intent were it not just an illness.]
Of course, that's only a thought.
no subject
[Just a regular flu is horrible enough, why are you like this magical flu.]
I've been avoiding people as much as possible, but waiting this one out seems like it would take a while... so thanks for seeing me.
no subject
It's no trouble. Diseases can spread quickly in crowded conditions like ours currently. Even after I cure you, keep wearing your mask just to be on the safe side.

[He looks up when she calls out to him, and walks forward, as miserable as a red panda can look.]

[When Tokoyami does come up, she... sees a red panda.]
... You've been trying to deal with this for a while, haven't you?
no subject
Yes... I thought it would go away on its own, but...
[He makes to sneeze.... but fortunately holds it in.]
no subject
It didn't and the symptoms became worse...
[At least, that's what happened with everyone else.]

[He looks apologetic but he's neither concerned nor embarrassed for what happened. Still, he pulls out a knife to work on cutting the net.]
Perhaps it had worked on something that had lived here in the past?
no subject
Apparently there was a Fachan, but why attempt to trap anything here at all when this is not a regular travel destination?
no subject
[He was quick and precise with his cuts. He chooses them so they wouldn't be dropped suddenly before they were ready.
When he was close to being done, he stopped.]
Will you need help with landing?
no subject
[Now that creatures were more frequent to the forest, but that seems too quick.]
[At his question, she shook her head.]
I'll be fine.

III, vague-backdated to early nov?
[ In steps a man who's dressed as if he's just stepped out of an ancient fantasy-greece fresco, but without all the life and levity behind one. His head lifts slightly in formal greeting. The courtesy of acknowledging her with a nod does nothing to soften his grim mien. ]
Sure
Good afternoon. What brings you in today?
no subject
Are you able to detect physical ailments as caused by bloodmagic?
no subject
I can... and so long as there's no cursed side ailments tied to it, I can treat it.

III (text -> action)
Taking the white-haired man’s advice about getting the appointment with the doctor scheduled beforehand, he sends in a text message to her that he would like to have an appointment with the doctor soon.)
Hello, Dr. Kimishima. I was told by an acquaintance that I can have an appointment with you regarding the magical flu since I have it at the moment. Is there a time slot for me to visit you?
no subject
How soon would you prefer? I had a cancellation so I can fit you in thirty minutes from now, or my next opening after that is in two hours.
[Decisions, decisions... Also, yes, she could contact her next appointment already scheduled, but better to fit everyone in if possible.]

[With her notes down and Keith left to her, the ghastly magenta hue would spill from her fingers and envelope the exhausted young male to rid of his flu, and then she would sit back to wait for him to come around, waiting to pen more notes as to what brought his current condition about.]
no subject
Keith was trying to pay attention, but, having nearly passed out after bringing lightning down on that pasture, it was hard for him to stay conscious. The relief from the flu symptoms alleviated some of that fatigued brain fog, however, and he did begin to acknowledge his surroundings after a few moments.
As it clicked in his head where he was, he groaned a bit, rolling on to one side to cover his face.]
Uuuugh... [He sighed into his arms.] Quiznak.

Welcome back...
