I. A Cure on Cloud Nine

[As the forest was, there shouldn't be any issues clearing it out, but someone apparently ticked the Naiads off and now, there was a basilisk. At least it wasn't like the serpent she'd always heard about, but having some allies paralyzed would not do.]

[Still, a flower that hadn't been seen for years being the cure? And not to mention, these traps...]

Why did they set this one up?

[Hadn't the main issue with the Forest been spirits? None of these would hold the creatures that had become a problem. Whoever had set off this net she was stuck in at the moment was getting a look from her direction. She should've stayed at the hospital...]

II. Paralysis, Paralysis, and Paralysis Again

[When she first saw the creature upon the chest of another sleeping nearby, she wasn't sure what she was seeing. However, the conscious effort of their apparent attack on the person does process - enough that she'll borrow a companion's weapon (whatever it may be) and attack it, knocking it off without much hesitation.]

[But whatever it was doing had already started. As she's not a cognitive mage, she cannot do anything, but she could confront the demon.]

Try to wake them. I'll hold it off.

III. General Clinic (but it's Magical Flu Season)

[Another month, a coming season, and it was about that time a yearly disease should come around. It really was thanks to her world that Naomi didn't catch many common maladies, but this Magical Flu had other problematic factors that weren't from catching it.]

[At a knock, she looked over at the door.]

Enter slowly... but if you're about to sneeze, do so before you enter.

[And let's not destroy her office space on accident with some leaking magic.]

IV. Wildcard

[OOC: Any prompts you're interested in threading with Naomi that aren't here? Hit me up at demidemonLove. She's not an active quest taker since she has a job, but she can be dragged into them like the quest with the fear gorta, butterflying lettuce, and even the gancanagh (she's an adult, it's all good).]

All right. Then I'll cut the last rope on the count of three.

[Just so no one is surprised. He counts down then make the decisive cut that causes the others to snap from the added pressure.

He landed with the grace of a practise martial artist. Hopefully, she really will be fine? But if not he's ready to help.]

[The countdown is appreciated, and when that rope lets go, Naomi can right herself to land on her feet in a crouch. She's had some kind of practice that's for sure, and she rises to straighten up her clothes.]

Let's proceed with new caution. I don't believe we even have a rough estimate of how many traps have been set throughout.

It would be best to not be caught in another trap. Just in case the next one is more dangerous.

Mmm, the last thing we want to cross is a bear trap.

Stepping into a bear trap would be rather inconvenient.

[He says with the same sort of energy as someone remarking how being caught outside on a windy day without a jacket would be inconvenient. Which is to say, without any sense of real urgency or concern.]

Though, at least, should such a thing happen I do have healing magic.

[It's not the lofty way he answers that has her pausing, but the mention of him having 'healing magic'.]

[Not that she's too concerned because he may have some combative skills, but magic seems to be more effective on... everything here.]

Blood magic.

[He understood the concern, truly. While he'd been thankful for healing magic and what it could do for Gu Yun he also realized it put him at a disadvantage in certain combat situations...not that Gu Yun liked him having blood magic but it was useful.]

[She nods. That's at least something to work with - though, he'll have to be careful not to overuse it.]

... Death magic.

[Which was useful if he did overuse his blood magic...]

[He has overused it in a safe environment enough to find out where his limits are. It's fine, that's what healing magic is for.]

A useful magic type.

[But then, all magic was useful in its own ways.]

[So they've lacking on the offensive abilities.]

So unless there's something undead around, we're relying on your blood magic for any difficult altercations.

[Gosh, if only that stone giant hadn't absorbed all the wandering spirits here...]

I can fight quite well with blood magic, and healing magic can mitigate the side effects rather effectively. [There are problems with that, naturally, after all using healing magic expends energy as well. But it works well enough.]

But it would be best to get through this area while avoiding altercations altogether.

If that does come to pass, leave the healing to me. [That way his energies could be focused on one magic and not both.]

Indeed. This should still be the correct way to the flower... if it's there.
