(a. at the senshi (and friends!) house)

[ Minako's arrival hadn't exactly been.. pleasant. Somewhere between everything being so chaotic back home right before she showed up here instead, then suddenly being dropped into the water out of nowhere, and then getting covered in gross jelly stuff didn't exactly make it the most fun course of events.

But at least Makoto helped her over to the house, and now Minako has been able to bathe and get all that junk out of her hair, things are starting to look up a little more. Or at least, Minako thinks she looks presentable enough to be seen by others.

Which means she starts wandering the house, peeking her head into all the rooms so she can greet people with a: ]

Hi! [ You know, casual. Just showed up here. No biggie. ]

(b. on the streets of camelot)

[ If you just happen to be calmly walking along the city streets, your moment of relative peace and quiet gets interrupted really, really quickly.

Because you might suddenly feel something jumping on you. It happens so fast that you can't even see what it is, other than that there's a sudden pressure on your head, like something is clinging on for dear life up there. If you try to remove it - which is possible if you put some effort into it - you'll find it's a cat. A kind of.. odd-looking cat, since it's a little too big for your usual cat, but it's still definitely a cat.

Or even if you don't manage to remove it, there's suddenly a blonde girl outright charging at you, yelling out-- ]

Wait!

[ What do you do. Do you run. Do you stay. Do you ponder why your life suddenly turned out like this? ]

(c. outside a bakery)

[ After having managed to recover her familiar, Minako is making sure to tightly hold it to her chest, not wantin to start an entire chase scene all over again.

Which means things are a little bit calmer right now. Instead you might find the blonde girl standing outside a bakery, staring at the delicious goods inside, looking like she's about to drool right over them. ]

Ahh, it looks so good, right? [ She squeezes the cat-like creature a little. ] Maybe you were just hungry too.. Rough is the fate of those who don't have money.. [ Please, Minako. You literally have a house full of friends you're staying with. Cut down on the melodramatics.

Still, her stomach growls. Loudly. That chase must have taken some energy. Do you help out this poor blonde girl. ]

(d. on the streets of camelot, less chaos edition)

[ Or maybe you, very simply, just find the girl walking up to you on the middle of the streets. Do you know her? Probably not! And yet she talks to you so casually, as if you're not total strangers. Welcome to the power of an extreme extrovert. ]

Hey! Sooo.. if someone wanted to practice these new powers everyone's talking about, where do they do that? Won't you help a cute girl out?

[ Look at her batting those doe eyes at you! You're locked into this fate now. It's inescapable. ]

(ooc: as a note for those who have threaded with me on the tdm, i am more than willing to carry those over as in-game canon, so feel free to assume those interactions happened! c: )

[Aurora is, not surprisingly, very used to animals just randomly showing up around her. When one jumps onto her head, Vivek, her Eurasian Eagle Owl, lets out a very loud screech in warning to the creature. Even now, Aurora is literally surrounded by animals.]

Now now, Vivek, no need to threaten the creature.

[She reaches up and pries the cat from her hair and safely into the crooks of her arms.]

Why hello there, you poor thing, you seem frightened. What's wrong? [She gently scratched under its chin.

However, when she hears the loud "WAIT!" and sees a blonde girl charging at her, Aurora's eyes widen but she merely hugs the cat closer and promptly moves out of the girl's path.]

[reloves]

[ Thankfully it seems that the girl wasn't on an entirely full collision course with Aurora. Sure, she comes running at the other, but she seems to manage to stop at the last moment, very quickly sliding to a halt, until she's just standing in front of the other.

Or, well, standing.. Minako is more just resting, her hands on her knees, seeming to catch her breath again after all that running. ]

O-Oh.. Thank god, you caught him..

[ Please, she wasn't wanting to continue this whole chase all over town!! ]

Well, you figure out what magic you have, and ask someone with that magic to help you, if you need it.

[Sorry Minako, you got one of the grumpiest idols to deal with. The only friendly part of him is the puffin sitting on his shoulder taking a nap.]

[ Minako opens her mouth to reply.

But the very moment she does, and she looks at him, she realises something. ]

[ Oh no.

He's super hot. ]

[ Just look at that hair, it's gorgeous! His eyes, striking! His face, like a marble statue!

She doesn't care that he's practically radiating an icy attitude from here all the way to Mars, this is an incredibly hot guy, and Minako is latching onto this opportunity to talk to him with a metaphorical vice grip. ]

Ahh, really? In that case, you won't mind telling an incredibly beautiful and innocent girl how she can figure out which sort of magic she has, right?

[ The cat she's holding in her arms looks so done with her. ]

Or maybe you could even provide some.. personal help?

[Eventually Minako will see Yuyuko exiting the bakery, using her kinetic magic to make a noticeably large amount of baked goods float around her so she doesn't have to carry them all.]

If you're thinking of going in, the goods here are certainly worth trying. [Is she really that oblivious to Minako's plight? Who knows.]

[ There is indeed no sign - yet - whether this person is torturing her on purpose or is just that oblivious. You know, while having their little floating baked goods cloud around them.

A cloud that's enough to make Minako's stomach growl again. ]

Y-Yeah, I thought as much.. [ And yet Minako is not stepping into the bakery. Instead she's just staring at what Yuyuko bought, her gaze growing more longing by the minute. ]

B!

[flapsin]

[The cat is on top of a duck. Drake can feel the cat on his head and is nervously trying to coax it off. What if it bites him or something?]

Ea-easy there, little one... Just get down, nice and easy...

[Then some girl shouts towards him and he winces. She's even charging towards him! He raises his arms defensively!]

What's going on?!

[reloves]

[ Thankfully it seems that the cat isn't trying to eat or bite him. It's just clinging to his head, and even once it's removed, it doesn't try to attack him - though it might be squirming a little bit in his hold. Make sure to hold on tight!

The girl, however, seems to show no signs of slowing down. And she's getting closer and closer now.. ]

You got him!!

[ Now that isn't omnious at all. ]

Hey~

[Said room is a rather roomy kitchen, one with a good-sized herb garden in the window sill and several pots and hanging planters of more heat-tolerant plants decorating the rest of the space.]

Just in time; chicken curry and rice is ready when you are, and I fried up some tonkatsu too!

[And knowing her for two years, the stew's spice and consistency is perfect to Minako's tastes.]

[ Minako looks around a little as she glances around the kitchen. Her hair is still wrapped up in a towel, though she thankfully managed to get it more or less clean at this point. If water didn't take care of that junk in her hair, she seriously would have screamed loud enough for the entire city to hear.

So right now her focus is no longer on her hair. Instead she can't help but think - while looking at the kitchen - that this definitely looks like a Makoto style kitchen. Somewhere between all the plants everywhere, and how homey it is.. ]

Can't believe I'm making you cook for me right off the bat. [ She says, smiling slightly. ] That must mean I owe you one now, huh?

[ Della was chosen to go grocery shopping for Duck House - a poor decision, really - and had begun to walk out with a bagful of pastries, including one in her mouth.

At the same time, she does overhear the stomach-growl. She pauses, and after a moment of thought, digs into the bag and pulls one out to offer, with a garbled - ]

Fawn fun?

[ That's "Want one?" in "mouth full of pastry"-ese. ]

[ Minako's eyes widen.

She gasps.

For a moment she looks at Della as if she's ready to accept the duck as her new goddess. Even the whole talking, walking duck thing isn't so weird to her. Sure, she'll accept duck-people as long as they're offering her pastries. ]

F-For me..? You must have realised that beautiful young girls like me aren't supposed to have to survive a day without pastries..!

[Yvelon had taken a moment to go over his weekly shopping list when he heard the young woman talking to her pet. As much as he generally tried to avoid people outside of his work, he had once been that hungry youth. There was a moment of internal debate, after all, he couldn’t feed every wayward teenager he came across, but in the end morality won out.

He heaved a sigh and turned to see what she was looking at.]

It is all merely sugar, it will only sate your appetite briefly. Meats and cheeses will do you far better.

[Perhaps coming off a little harsh, but he was a healer. Such lectures were difficult to switch off.]

[reloves]

[ Minako turns towards him - if not just so she can give him the most intense puppy eyes known to man. Look at these dramatics. Listen to the way her stomach growls again. ]

Do you think I look like I have money for any of those either?

[ Besides, she can.. technically just get those at the house she shares with her friends.. It's those pastries she wants!

But apparently she's just opting to not say that. ]

[Oh no, not the doe eyes. Jean looks a bit awkward to be put on the spot like this.]

Well, there are some training grounds available for everyone. And depending on what magic you have...

[ Sorry, Jean. This is just the consequence of walking around on the streets when you're a guy. The Minako radar will always track you down, sooner or later.

And the intense doe eyes? They don't let up. They just keep going, even though he's given an answer. ]

Really..? I wonder if there's a super manly guy around who wouldn't mind showing a beautiful girl these training grounds.. [ Please, Minako, you can't lure everyone into doing everything for you. ]

[ naoto yelps at the cat creature clearly climbing on his back. what the hell was that, he didn’t know, but he wanted it off yesterday. when he realizes it was a cat creature, his fear is alleviated. cats good. and then he hears the scream.

why yes, he does ponder how did his life come to this. naoto’s luck has always been bad, but this takes the cake. the cat on him is ignored as he lets out a deep sigh. naoto looks at the cat with a look. ]

Cat, I don’t know what you did, but it’s clearly Something.

[reloves]

[ What do you mean?

Clearly the cat has done nothing. Clearly it is innocent. Just look on that innocent look on its face - the innocent look that the cat is very, very purposefully putting up on its face as it looks up at Naoto, begging for sympathy and attention.

The girl, however, just keeps charging up to the two of them. Though Minako thankfully stops before she full on bodyslams into the duo, instead moving to put her hands on her knees as she tries to catch her breath from running so much. ]

Y-You caught him, thank you.. I've been chasing him all over town!

A!

[Ami has been at school all day, and Mina was in the shower when she'd gotten home, so somehow Ami has totally missed that Mina is actually here. Right now she's just doing some schoolwork on her desk in her room, when she hears a familiar voice at the door. Her head jerks towards the door in surprise, and a wide grin spreads across her face in realisation.]

Mina-chan! You're here! When did you get here? Are you okay? I am so happy to see you!

[Hurriedly she stands, almost running over to give Mina a hug (and maybe make sure that she's actually real.]

[reloves]

[ A hug is more than fine. After all, it was practically the first thing Makoto did too upon seeing her, and back then her hair was still full of jelly goo, rather than just being damp the way it is now.

So no matter whether Ami actually moves over to her or Minako has to move in first, that hug sure is happening. Minako even smiles. It's good to see Ami again like this - especially since they only barely had time to reunite back home before Minako found herself in this place instead. ]

I'm okay, I'm okay! Have you ever seen me not being fine? [ She laughs, clearly joking a little, and then squeezes Ami a last time before letting go. ]

Don't worry, I only showed up today. You know, by being not-so-gently dropped into a lake. This place seriously has no idea about how to treat a girl!

[Ren happens to be shopping for some baked goods. He's not that into them but he does like to eat them from time to time. If he couldn't finish them all, he always had Camus.

Minako is now a familiar person to Jim and so he offers her one of two bags. Inside there is a piece of strawberry shortcake.]

An offering for a goddess.

[ Dear god, what has Minako done to earn this? She's still not so sure how to feel about this place as a whole, and the entire idea of having been dragged here.. but when it involves cute guys calling her a goddess and giving her sugary goods, then maybe it's not all that bad.

That being said - of course Minako looks entirely over the moon the moment she's handed it. And even moreso when she looks inside the bag and sees the strawberry shortcake.

When she looks back at Ren, her eyes are so shiny that it looks like she either came straight out of a shoujo manga or is about to cry.

Or both. ]

I.. I can't believe it.. You must be an angel!

[doctorintern]

[ Hey Minkao, ever see a duck walking a dog before? Well now you have.

The dog sniffs around her curiously as she walks up, despite Fenton trying to pull back on the leash. So he doesn't quite notice the doe-eyed look she's giving him. Or maybe they don't work on a different species? Who knows. Still, he catches her words anyway and is more than happy to help out. ]

Oh, are you a new arrival? Well, there are some training grounds where people are able to practice their magical abilities, and some instructors there who help with some of the basics.

[reloves]

[ It's okay, Fenton. You're like the third duck today. At this rate Minako is just going to assume that this town is half inhabited by humans, and half inhabited by walking, talking ducks or something.

And as long as these ducks are so willing to help her, Minako will just accept this somehow being her new reality now. ]

Could you bring me there then? [ She asks, and then pauses for a moment before adding: ] I'm super new here. I have no idea where anything is!

[At least Minako had company in her misery. Though Haruka took a bit better to suddenly taking a plunge in the lake more likely, her hair was much easier to dry at the very least. Luckily among the possessions that she had was a spare set of clothes, there would have been problems had she been wearing the black leather skirt she was sporting now.

When the younger girl peeked in Haruka looked up and grinned.]

Hey there. How are you settling in?

[It looked like at the least she'd gotten around to exploring before Haruka had.]

[reloves]

[ It's the one nice thing about this whole situation. It's not like Minako wouldn't have dealt if she found herself here all alone, without any of her friends from back home. She's had to fight by herself before, after all. But it feels so much more comfortable and nicer to be surrounded by familiar faces.

Then again, there are some missing familiar faces. And Minako can imagine it might be harder on Haruka than on her, considering the specific faces that are missing. It might be contributing to her smile widening just slightly, the cheerful attitude just a bit stronger than moments before. ]

Fine, fine! I mean, fine by now, anyway. Can you believe that they'd drop beautiful people like us straight in the middle of that jelly goo?!

[Being that he has animal magic, animals randomly jumping on his back isn't all that surprising now. He's grown used to animals trailing after him due to the magic's resonance, but he'll get that issue sorted eventually. Although this causes his familiar, Spinel, a small bipedal black cat to be on full on protective mode and is about to whack at the bigger cat before Soundwave stops him.]

Calm down, it seems to be frightened. Now, what is it that you--

["Wait!" Now what?

Soundwave turns to the source of the scream and sees a blonde girl... charging towards him? Unless she manages to stop herself before colliding into him (and it will hurt since he's a 7 ft tall mech), he'll sidestep out of the way of the collision.]

[reloves]

[ Thank you, Soundwave, for protecting this poor girl from herself. Or, technically, from bumping into a huge mountain of metal that certainly would give her a headache for the rest of the week if she ran straight into it.

Which means that she runs right past him instead, colliding with a trash can that noisily falls over instead.

The girl, however, quickly pulls herself back up to her feet to stare at Soundwave and the duo of cats, panting as she still has to catch her breath. ]

Y.. You caught him!

[ She will address the fact that the person who caught him is some sort of huge metal robot person later.

This comes first, especially when she doesn't have a whole lot of breath to speak with. ]
