[Open] Hit the Ground Running
🧙 WHO: Zidane and anyone who wants in!
⚔️️ WHAT: New arrival and open log for the month!
🕒 WHEN: Whenever arrivals get dropped in and forward
🗺️ WHERE: Red Spring, CameCon, Brocéliande and beyooond
⚠️ WARNINGS: Nooo? ... No... will update if needed.
[I. The Red Spring - Training Grounds]
[His world had magic so figuring it out wasn't difficult, but the application was different and limited. Or maybe he was out of practice? Quickly figuring out it had nothing to do with elemental or healing, it seemed physical again. Honestly, fine with him.]
[At the training grounds, he had one ability down already: speeding up. If he knew what else could be done with it, he would probably try it out, but instead, others might see him running the obstacle course, taking a break after completing it, and then repeating, steadily increasing his speed. However, he's still new, and it's evident he's exhausting himself at some point. His familiar - a moogle - tugged his tail to stop him with a 'kupo!', but he stood up, waved it off, and took to the course again.]
[Maybe intervene?]
[II. It Figures... Flood/Blackout]
[Only coming to the CameCon out of curiosity, he's only semi-surprised when the flood began? Like, it happened at the hot springs and spoiled that so why not spoil another event?]
[Helping people who wanted out of the water was all fine and dandy if ridiculous. The water wouldn't damage everything they bought that bad; living was more important than losing that apparent limited edition pillow. And then, of course the lights had to go out.]
... Alright, unless anyone's got a candle on them or the right magic, I'm gonna need some dry table cloth and a chair leg!
[He'd find it himself, but rattling tables and chairs with his magic might not help keep panic down.]
[III. Keep Your Vines to Yourself]
[Zidane's really in this forest due to the reports of missing people since he'd rather not be here. It reminded him plenty of another stint in a forest that he'd rather not repeat, and not without the medicine to counteract things going south.]
[Fortunately, the vines were friendly - unfortunately, too friendly.]
[Not that he doesn't manage to slink his way from plenty attempts to grab him, but he knew he lost some fur. Of course, he's lucky; other people that came into the woods? Maybe not so much and he's listening out for anyone who might find themselves in a predicament.]
[IV. Selfies with Selkies]
So... you wanna try talking to him, or should I go?
[Holding his basket in his tail, Zidane raised his arms behind his head and tilted his head. He's not human, but who between the two of them would be better? The Selkie looked like a cool enough guy, but Zidane's also not here to listen to another guy attempt to flirt should his companion be a woman.]
[The Cereus de Anima was kind of a pressing matter they should deal with sooner rather than later.]
[V. Wildcard]
[OOC: Putting this option here as a more general exploration of Camelot without making a sixth prompt so he can be encountered in various locations about the City. Look, he's very good at getting into places and curious enough right now. If you wanna plot in more details, hit me up at plurk:
demidemonLove. Also, if you'd rather some prompts on his TDM, that's still available here and open to being carried over!]

[Adelle's feeling a little lecture-y. She cuts the person a look. When they get to the door, she flies ahead, and opens it for everyone. She peeks out -- makes sure it's safe -- and then looks back at Zidane and the group.]
Okay! Everyone out!
no subject
[Once they reach it, people immediately try getting through first. Zidane shakes his head.]
You'll all get out! Just don't stampede over each other!
no subject
[Adelle lowers herself, once it looks like the coast is more clear; then she flashes a grin down at Zidane.]
Good job!
no subject
[There looked to be a few places in the hall where people could potentially be stuck before the lights went out.]
no subject
[She's already looking around, for where people might be.
This flood sure is badly timed...]
no subject
[They should be able to get everyone out in a timely manner, but always worth having a backup plan.]
[Wading back into the dark, the torch he had was also limited. He'd have to make a new one soon.]
no subject
[She points, as she flies.
Then she looks back down at him.]
I'm Adelle.
no subject
[If it's closed, someone could be inside.]
[Looking up when she comes down, he nods.]
I'm Zidane. Nice to meet you; too bad it's like this...
[He's gotta stop meeting people when things happen.]
no subject
[She looks ahead at the door and nods. When they get over to it, she reaches out to open it...
And it catches. Locked, it looks like.]
Hm... that could be a problem. I might be able to force it open, but I don't want to hurt anyone inside, if they're right by it.
no subject
[At least he's not the only one that thinks that way!]
[Now at the door, he frowns when she says it's locked.]
Let's knock and if anyone's trapped inside, they should answer.
no subject
[Adelle knocks. And the answer comes...
A raspy, screechy: "No! Go away!"
Adelle makes a face and backs up, then stares at Zidane. THIS ISN'T IN THE SCRIPT, ZIDANE. WHAT DO.]
no subject
[He steps forward and knocks himself.]
Hey! We're evacuating people from the building!
no subject
Then, the same person answers: "No! Occupied! Go away!"]
This is ridiculous!
no subject
[He'd try to lockpick it, but he doesn't have the tools.]
omg I love that icon
The door swings open!
And inside is an old man. He is shoving a lot of merchandise into a large bag, and stares at them.
"I'M NOT STEALING," he promises.
Adelle's eyebrow twitches.]
hehe
Yeah, and I'm the Regent of Lindblum. Worry about financial gain after you're not swimming with the fishes.
[This is dumb and he's hauling the man out.]
no subject
Adelle stares at it -- glances back at the man running away -- and then she groans.]
Should we go after him?
no subject
[Yeaaah, he's a little tired of this guy already too.]
no subject
[Adelle sighs.] Well! Glad we caught him before he could steal this stuff. Should we keep looking for people?
no subject
[His tail whips around. Even if they guy hasn't and they cross him again, he will.]
... Yeah, we should. If he was doing that, others might be attempting the same.
no subject
no subject
Anyway, can you see any other doors?

All right! I'll keep an eye out.
