[ Not exactly the most adventurous quest there is, but hey, she'll take it - because she has a terrible brilliant idea. Her familiar is a female moon bunny, and if that's what the missing fella wants...

Which is why she has the bun on a table outside, surrounded by flowers, and maybe a romantic candle or two. Della steps back to admire her handiwork, holding her fingers out like a camera frame. ]

I think we nearly got it... Once he realizes this beauty is out and open, it'll be a piece of cake! Now, primp yourself up, Amelia! Strut your stuff! Be the most beautiful bunny there is!

[ ... the bun just nibbles on one of the flowers.]

 

Run Snagglefoot

[ now this is more her style - subduing thieves and reclaiming treasure! However, as much as she'd like to play spy games... she, in a world of human/human-looking folk, does tend to stick out... since, well. She's a duck.

Still, she's not one to give up so easily! It's late at night, and she's standing outside of the Red Spring Inn, peering in through a window, and muttering (loudly) to herself. ] 

Della Duck lays in wait for the criminal mastermind to make his move...  maybe I should go in for a left hook, then follow up with a stomach blow, then bonk his head while he's doubled over... Sounds good to me!

 

Farmers-R-Us

[ And now for something completely different - for Della. But she's excited for farm work - because to her, it meant socializing time! What better way to make new friends than with a hard day's work! Uncle Scrooge would be so proud of her! She decides to go up to the first person she sees, calmly ask them for advice, and see if they can find a way to use their combined skills to help everyone out on the fields.

She chooses her words poorly. ]

Okay she was a bit odd looking, but not the oddest thing he'd ever seen. Quilt had that covered after all.

"Thanks," he said with a grin. "I don't perform that one as much anymore, so it is good to get back to my roots every once in a while."

As far as he was concerned, even though the song was his creation, it now belonged to Greg. But he knew his boy wouldn't mind him borrowing it back every now and again. Especially now that Greg was exploring new avenues with his music.

"So in your world, that's an 'oldie'?" Della began to hop... well, climb into a seat next to him. This world wasn't built for people her height, but she was managing.

"Nah, that's an oldie for me. I was a teenager when I first wrote it," he said with a chuckle.

[sos_pilot]

"And you're... not, now?" Della asked, trying to gauge his age. "We don't have humans in my world, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to look at whatever age."

"Ah, silverly locks like mine usually lock someone in as older. Grey, silver, white, those tend to be old human colours. We also get lines on our face. Smile lines if you had a good life, usually. Frown lines for a life full of unhappy wrinkles. But facial clues are a little on the nose, eye think. I'm old enough to be a grandfather now and my lovely wife has retired from her jobs so we can spend time with the parts of our family that we have left." One of his sons was missing a leg and several teeth, another was... well he wasn't sure how much of Jacob was actually originally of Jacob these days. And two of his sons had lost their magic and were learning to live without what had been a part of them since they were children.

And that didn't even account for the friends and family who were fully gone after the war.

He touched his chest through his shirt, thinking about what he himself lost. He had had the mark for so long he still looked odd in the mirror without it, but the moment it had melted away had been so perfect that he didn't have even an ounce of regret for its loss.

It was no longer needed.

Della leaned in a little better to get a better detail of what he was saying, and nodded along. "Huh... Some of us do get silver in our hair and feathers, but it's also a pretty common color to be born with. So wrinkles help!" All said ever so cheerfully.

"Many humans the world over would disagree, but I think you're pretty on the nose for sure. Guess ducks," was she a duck? "don't get crows' feet?" Yes he reused one of those, but if she wasn't going to laugh the first time, he'd just clearly have to be persistent. And failing laughing, glaring at nothing over a bad pun was also an acceptable response.

Now that managed to make her smirk - no laughter, but she could appreciate a bad pun. She was a parent, after all. "It usually comes with the rest of the crow body."

[donovan_deegan]

"Well that makes sense, I was mostly just wing it with these puns anyway. It's hard to back down from a good pun. You know what they say about a bird pun in the mouth, after all," he added with a grin.

Della did a slow clap. "It's worth two groans?"

[donovan_deegan]

"I'm up to two? My how I've groan."

[sos_pilot]

"... If I buy you a drink, do you promise to stop?"

[donovan_deegan]

"Huh, my puns usually get me boos, not booze," he said with a smirk. "I won't promise that, but I might point out that I tend not to be so rude as to pun with my mouth full." He winked.

[sos_pilot]

"Eh, I'll take what I can get." She snapped her fingers, trying to get the barkeep's attention. "Besides, I've been wondering what kinda food and drink they got in this world."

[donovan_deegan]

"More of a variety at the big events, but all of it seems to be of decent quality. Even the local fruits are apealing."

[sos_pilot]

Della glanced over. "Big events? Like what?"

[donovan_deegan]

"The occasional feast and whatnot. There was one right after some of us arrived, and I've heard others having talked about others. When it comes to an event like that, after the fact, I'm all ears."

[sos_pilot]

Della "hmm"'d it over, shrugging a shoulder. "I guess that's nice, every once in a while, but I was kinda hoping for more... adventure."

[donovan_deegan]

"Oh there is adventure here too, it just rarely comes in the form of big events with interdimensional culinary offerings."

[sos_pilot]

"So, adventure with food?" Della asked, curious. "Now that's more my style!"

[donovan_deegan]

Not quite what he meant, but that was fine. "So is your life all adventures and food back home? Or is all the fighting of the food variety?" Food fights, get it?

[sos_pilot]

"Mostly adventures." Della chuckles. "My family travels the world to find treasure!"

[donovan_deegan]

He grinned. "since you're treating, I'll spare you the obligatory 'family was the real treasure all along' moral, and just say that that sounds fun. We mostly travel to save people from scraps, or more recently to save the world itself."

[sos_pilot]

"Oh, we do that too on occasion." Della adds casually. "After all, when we're hunting something dangerous, it's likely someone bad wants their hands on it too."

"Ah," he said. Then he grinned. "But have you ever saved a town with music?"
