[Snagglefoot Miffen is the name of the thief that has snatched up some precious gems from a local jewelry shop in Camelot. And if there is one thing that Izuku can’t tolerate as a student studying to be a hero? It’s crime, of course! When he had seen the task, he had signed up right away. Being away from his homeworld and his school hasn’t taken anything away from Izuku’s determination to be a hero and to help out whenever he can.

But this thief is chalking it up to be quite the challenge. A slippery fellow that once Izuku gets a single lead is off before Izuku can reach the next one. He’s been tracking the man through the streets as fast as he can, but the thief seems to be one step ahead of him so far. The next lead means he’ll be heading to the Red Springs Inn next. That means Izuku has to get there before he does.]

Alright, I’m not letting him get ahead of me this time. Even if I’m here... I still have to be. Plus Ultra!

[There is a flicker of magic as Izuku places his hands on a nearby tree. A flash and a bang later and the tree transmutes and grows into a twisted-looking wooden ladder with footholds and all. Izuku is then climbing up the ladder onto the roof of the nearby building and is then running and leaping from roof to roof. Better for the bird’s eye view and to get to the Red Spring Inn faster! Occasionally, only stopping to transmute more branches and tall hanging trees into planks to use as a jumping point to the next roof or ledge!

[b: quest: farmers-r-us]

[Farming is still helping and Izuku is just glad that he can lend a hand. Alchemy magic also seems to be a good thing to have in this regard. He’s working with the local farmers with helping the new crops sprout. He’s slow at the work at first but he’s getting better at it bit by bit. And when he’s not helping with the crops himself he is also a healthy strong boy so moving supplies and hauling tools or crops is right up his alley too. The hard work feels nice!

What he doesn’t notice right away while he’s working is the small next of pixies that have seemed to have nested in a corner of the field he’s working in. One moment he is kneeling down to plant and work on some seedlings when his foot catches a part of the nest buried in the brush.]

Eh-??! [Whoosh!!

In an instant, the nest of pixies erupts like a swarm of bees flying around him in a pink and glittery haze! His hair flies up and sticks there as he blinks rapidly at the swarm whooshing all around him! He flails!]

Ah-!! Ack- AHHHHiiii!!

[How does he get the swarm of ~~bees~~ pixies to stop?! They’re starting to chant some sort of magic or charm and the air is starting to spark!]

[c: 🥦 broadsword shopping]

[Being in a fantasy world like this and without his usual quirk Izuku has realized he needs a way to keep up with combat and battle without being able to use his usual superpowers. Alchemy isn’t always a combat type of magic (or at least he hasn’t quite honed a way to use it in a combative way just yet) so he thinks with a weapon that it would be a good way to supplement his skills.

And who doesn’t want a big as heck sword to go with this entire fantasy world vibe?? Like right out of a JRPG!?

Izuku is browsing a local blacksmith and weapons store. Looking at a row of the broadswords that might fit his style and his grip. He’s never bought a sword before so he is a little out of his league right now but looking at the weapons is just … so freaking cool.]

Uaa... These swords are amazing! I can’t believe I’m really here and I can get one…!

[d: 🥦 alchemy studying]

[Izuku is still very new to alchemy but he is getting the hang of transmuting organic matter. Wood, plants and the like came to him easily enough. But with his classmates learning their own magic he does want to try and see if he can study enough to help them as well. With Katsuki and Tsuyu both using light magic, he has figured that the faster he learns how to change and manipulate glass, metal and precious stones? The better.

And that is where Izuku is right now. He’s sitting on a bench outside as he tinkers with a handful of copper pieces and a container full of sand. He’s currently trying to transmute the copper pieces into different shapes and later trying to change the sand into proper glass lenses.

Holding the piece of copper in his hand Izuku suddenly winces as his magic flashes and burns his skin. He drops the copper piece with a clatter! This is going to take some practice...]

If I can get copper and sand to work right... I can start making magnifying lenses...

[Izuku is starting to mutter to himself!]

[ There is something up with the goat. It's obvious and Deku knows what's going on with it. Why else would he be so hyper and wanting the thing back after scowling at it like he had? No, something is amiss here. Something isn't right.

Deku is definitely trying to hide something... ]

[ Then in the next instant he is tucking that goat under his arm and taking off up the stairs into the loft. To organize this things! ]

Kacchan! ...

[Is he just stealing his goat?!?! Izuku looks on helplessly as he just leaves?!

... Izuku's cheeks are red. He sighs and sits down on his bed. But all this- This is kind of nice. In a weird way. But then he realizes and calls out!]

Do you want help with your things?!

[Even if Katsuki doesn't have much?!]

[ That's right, shitty Deku. Fucking suffer. If his familiar likes Deku more than Katsuki, then it's only fair that the goat likes him, right?

He's even somewhat snickering out in the main living room. ]

Haa? Why would I need your help, when I have this stinky snowball to help me instead!?

[Izuku peeks his head out of his room with a huff. He wants to argue so he mutters,]

It's not like he can do much to help you-

[But he blinks as he sees Ruby perched on the back of the couch in the main living area there. She's preening her wing and seems to be enjoying the noise going on in the new home. She flutters her feathers and Izuku comes over her to her with a smile.]

It would be my luck my familiar likes him so much, ne... [He reaches out to give her a gentle pet and she coos happily, pressing up into his hand.] At least I've got you.

Ain't he just like you when we were brats? Following me around thinking "Kacchan Kacchan! Kacchan is so great! You're my hero, Kacchan!"

[ Okay maybe that last part might have slipped out. He hadn't thought to actually bring up their conversations in the dream pods! It just... Rolled off his tongue before he can think! ]

Tch! All I'm saying is that I don't see any difference between the two of you!

[ But then eyes fall on his own damn bird and how she interacts with Deku. What the hell. Ruby isn't that nice to him! She listens when she feels like it and is definitely a handy partner but!

Wait. Why does that matter!? It's not like he wants all these familiars around!? ]

...Ain't this some shit.

[He would have blushed hard at that point-! Maybe yelped at Katsuki about it, that he isn't like a goat!? He loves his goat, he does. But he can't really help with moving boxes or putting stuff away, that's all!?

... But he is safely distracted by the way the phoenix starts to coo and preens at him, fluttering her wings and perching upon his shoulder to give him a nuzzle with her beak.]

There's a big difference between me and him, right? [Izuku chuckles as he scratches her feathers gently.] You like me, don't you...

I'm right here! DON'T TALK ABOUT ME LIKE I'M GONE!

[ Because Deku is talking to Ruby, right? His words aren't. Um. Directed at Katsuki? Well he hopes not because he wouldn't answer them anyway!

The little goat wiggles some more, but that's because he wants attention too! Stop holding him at your hip, Katsuki! ]

Think your familiar is finally getting jealous!

[ But... Not of Ruby. Just that she is getting such nice attention! ]

[That shout does snap Izuku back in place! He winces lightly and then opens his eyes and looks up at Katsuki up on the loft and he just-

Starts laughing. Izuku's laughing with some amusement, cheeks pink.]

S-sorry, Kacchan! Haha- It's just ... [This is too funny.] I guess we've swapped familiars for now.

[ Why is that so fucking funny!? Bakugou doesn't get it at all. Familiar swap? HE DOESN'T WANT TO ACTUALLY BE STUCK WITH THIS GOAT! ]

Oi! Stop squirming or Imma drop you!

[ Is that bluff or not? Goat-chan doesn't rightfully know! ]

Speaking of... What are we gonna do with these things?

[Because it's just funny. Izuku feels like he can really laugh at the reverse situation. His laughter pitters off and he smiles with a small shrug.]

They belong to us so I think we'll just have to live with them too. We should get them some of their own things? I don't think they'll stick to us like this forever, either.

[He gives Ruby another gentle scritch.] You still love Kacchan, ne?

[And she lets out a small coo as she agrees.]

[ Augh... That laughter just makes something weird wiggle around in his stomach. Just like those shitty smiles that make him all tense. Goat-chan seems to understand what's going on here, letting out a bleating sound to let Katsuki know that he's still here? ]

So like a perch for her and a bed for Snowball here?

[ Now he lifts the goat again to look at him. ]

[Bed! Bed! Not that the goat will be using the bed too much now that he has Katsuki as an option. The goat bleeps happily anyway.]

Yeah... Are- you going to keep calling him Snowball?

[It's kind of a cute name. Even if he doesn't want STINKY attached to that.]

[ Never fear. He sets the little goat down. Be free, little familiar. ]

Ha? Why not? He's small, round, and white.

[ Please don't start crying again. ]

[At least this time the little goat does decide to do a little more exploring of the new home. He'll leave his precious Kacchan for now!]

I was thinking of calling him ... Toshi.

[You know- like Toshinori. All Might's real family name. How nerdy.]

[ He watches the little goat meander about. Looks back at Deku because augh. He would be the sort of nerd. ]

Yeah, no. I ain't calling him that. It's Snowball.

[ The goat doesn't look anything like a skeleton, sorry? And Izuku can call him whatever, of course. Bakugou will just stick to his own nicknames. ]

But- I thought it was a good name. It's a strong and cute sounding name.

[Izuku still seems fairly certain that's what he's going to call the little goat. But if Katsuki keeps calling him Snowball which name is really going to stick?

Both of them, both names will stick.]

You're naming him after All Might. How much of a nerd are you gonna continue to be?

[ Not like Izuku knows that Bakugou's hero name is Dynamight yet. He can get away with it! ]

I almost feel sorry for him.

[It seems with that Ruby decides to flutter away herself. Perhaps to join a little goat in exploring their new place to share.]
