Residential Inn


It was a little bit weird to be spending all this time indoors, but it was chilly out and even Quirkless Tsu was still of the mindset that it was better to be warm than not. She wandered around the place, heading down to the breakfast area early in the morning, eating and drinking what was on offer. Her familiar, the Kappa, was nowhere to be seen during all this, so she's mostly sitting alone unless someone would like to join her.

Other teenagers could possibly expect her to meander over and sit with them though, if they didn't object.

"Mind company?"


Around Camelot

Later in the day, Tsuyu bundled up in as warm an outfit as she could manage and meandered out into the city itself. She was entranced by the curious combination of nature and architecture, her wide eyes going wider as she followed a stream right up to the wall of a house. She paused briefly before skirting the edge, just to see if it continued onto the other side...

"...Wow, it really does? This place is extraordinary!" she says somewhat loudly. From down in the water, something burbles a reply, and up pops her familiar, chewing casually on a cucumber.

"Now there you are. I was wondering when you'd turn up!" Tsu says to the kappa, who clambers out and begins to shake himself to clear off some of the water. Which may or may not spray a passerby!


Training Grounds

Never one for idling about, Tsuyu did eventually make her way to the magical training grounds to start getting a handle on her abilities. She wasn't thrilled with the loss of her quirk, but she figured that she'd need to make do, even if she didn't like it.

So, she sought out a training partner, walking up to anyone else that looked a little new, or a little less than confident at least.

"...Want to get some practice in together?" she asks, smiling gently.


A Quest! (Possibly leading to A Tall Order?)


Also being a generally helpful person, Tsuyu thought to check out the QuestBoard app to see what kinds of tasks were available. Sitting atop her familiar's shell outside the inn, knees drawn up to her chest, she lounged there, pouring over the assortment of odd jobs. As she sat there, she couldn't help but break out in a little laugh.

"Now that sounds silly!" she says, presumably to her Kappa partner, but maybe that just looks like a green rock and you feel like chatting?

[Tsuyu is rarely put off by much of anything. Resting Bitch Anything just doesn't matter to her after spending a school year in the same class as Bakugou. So, settling down with a stranger and her familiar seemed absolutely natural.]

Thank you. I don't really like the idea of sitting alone.

[Blunt as always, but still polite in her own way, Tsu dips her head.]

[ thankfully alisaie's resting bitch everything doesn't apply to normal conversation, she's quite friendly with strangers, provided they don't give her any reason not to be, and this girl certainly seems nice enough. ]

[ and she's quite used to sitting alone - or, well, at least she used to be, at one time. when did she become so social..? gods, life in sharlayan seems like a lifetime ago. anyway. ]

I take it you're new here, too?

[ assuming she has no other friends to sit with.. but she could be wrong. ]

[Tsuyu repeats that name slowly, testing the pronunciation of the unfamiliar word. Then nods, like she's checking off a checkmark or something.]

I am, yes. I showed up the other day. I guess you are from this latest group of newcomers then.

I keep hearing that it has been a monthly thing. Which is strange, don't you think?

[ it's definitely a.. unique name. alley-zay, for those poor canonblind folk who struggle. let's not even get started on her last name.. ]

Really? I hadn't heard that..

[ but it's certainly bizarre, and her nose wrinkles thoughtfully. ]

It's oddly methodical, for magic.

[Tsu has no idea. She just blinks, frowning a little.]

Is magic normal where you're from then?

Mm, magic is often a little more chaotic than that. At least natural magic. Though there's plenty about this place I do not know, so..

[ so she's not going to give herself a headache thinking about it. ]

But yes, it's quite common in my home. Is it not in yours?

[frogiveness]

MmmMmm.

[Tsu shakes her head in the negative.]

Magic doesn't exist except in stories. People have Quirks, but those aren't magic. They're...like evolution?

[fearlessly]

Quirks?

[ she hears the capital Q in that word.. ]

I take it you don't mean funny mannerisms or a twitchy eye.

[frogiveness]

No, no. They're basically supernatural powers. People are born with them.

[She waggles her fingers.]

At home, I have sticky fingers and a stretchy tongue, like a frog. But some people can fly, or talk to animals, and all sorts of other things.

[fearlessly]

[ alisaie's eyebrows fly right up to her hairline in surprise. ]

A stretchy tongue? And you were.. born this way?

[ that sounds disgusting and also like, super cool?? ]

Yes. My Quirk is that I'm like a frog? Before it was taken away by this place, I could do anything a frog could do.

[Including all the weird and gross stuff. Her anatomy is very different now.]

[ alisaie is clearly thinking now.. ]

Like breathe underwater? Did you have sticky toes?

[frogiveness]

No, and yes. Frogs don't breathe underwater, they're amphibians. They need air, but they can get it by absorbing oxygen in the water from their skin.

What about the sticky toes?

Yes. [She waggles her fingers. Fingers that are just a bit too big to be normal.]

But they don't stick now.

[ she would have thought that such traits would have been biological, rather than magical in nature, but it seems they have been lost nonetheless. alisaie clears her throat. ]

Ah, my apologies, I hadn't meant to pry so much. 'Tis not every day that you meet a frog person.

It's alright! I don't mind. I like talking about quirks.

[She chuckles.]

If you want to really talk about magic and powers, you should find my classmate. Midoriya.

Oh I don't know, these quirks seem a lot more interesting to me. Magicks are commonplace.

[ but what she's talking about is entirely different! not that there aren't people with interesting talents where she comes from, but definitely not ones like this. ]

Still, I will keep it in mind. A friend of yours?

I guess it's the opposite for me. Magic is new and exciting.

[She smiles, bright, cheerful.]

And yes, he is. He's one of my classmates. There's a bunch of students from my school here, actually.

What's your world like? With magic and stuff, it must be amazing.

Oh, I'm sure it only seems that way because it's different, hm?

[ after all, to her, those quirks seem pretty great. not that she doesn't love magic, she couldn't live without it, but it is no more interesting to her than, you know, carriages, or swordplay, or anything else. ]

But it certainly has its fair share of problems. I do.. love it, though.

[ she says, sounding very tired. alisaie had been quite homesick before finally returning to mor dhona, and now she's here.. it's a little bit frustrating!! she sighs. ]

But aye, I suppose you are right, it is quite amazing.

[ but not because of the magic, just because she loves it. ]
