Speed Dating & Friendshipping

WHAT'S UP?

Speed Dating & Frienshipping is a (player-run) Valentine's Event hosted by Ren Jinguji and Camus at Shining Karaoke, located in Camelot.

During both of these events, participants talk to all other participants. Everyone is given five minutes to ask questions before they bell rings and you move onto the next person.

The tables all have cards that include simple questions if someone is stuck on what to ask. Here are some examples of what kind of questions there might be. Of course Speed Frienshipping won't have any "shippy" questions or ones that could be implied as such.

Everyone is free to make Top Levels for their characters for before and after the events themselves for mingling, singing karaoke or anything! World's your oyster and so on.

[So this definitely happens sometime later, when they've both talked with at least some people... It's a nice break, really, and Mikasa starts unwrapping her red scarf. She doesn't need it here, especially not when there are this many people in the same space, so it's possibly nicer to be without that for a moment too.]

Yeah, almost eeeeeeeveryday. [But she loves her work place???] I might even spend more time here than I spend with the love of my life and our friends.

[Archer, one speed friendshipping cheat sheet is sitting in the same table with you and she could be doing all of the talking too... meaning Usagi may have not done those questions but she's a social butterfly and used to asking all kinds of questions from people and she's also rambling often between everything else. ...Fun, right?]

...Something between those? I don't stay up all night unless I really have something super important to do but I also don't like waking up way too early in the morning.

[Then she suddenly realizes where she's seen him before. Usagi gasps and claps her hands together.]

[Usagi winks, she's also most likely just kidding. But she is an extremely social person, who loves befriending people, so this whole event sure is almost like made for her.]

(He hasn’t found that many new friends right now since coming into the Shining Karaoke, but he might be in luck in making at least one by the end of the event.)

Arrival

[This time he's at a social thing of his own volition. He had to mentally prepare himself for this--he wants to interact more, he hates being alone, but he's only just started dusting the cobwebs off of his social skills.

So Bruno shows up all washed and brushed, his hair tied back... sort of. Curls like those can't be tamed, they do what they want. Errant spiralling locks escape here and there. He's got some better--and warmer!--clothes on under that ruana and a pair of sturdy boots instead of sandals. Much better for this kind of weather. A giant black dog with green-glowing eyes trots along beside him.

He spots the crowd of people entering the building and stops. Turns around. Nearly leaves, but the dog blocks his path and literally herds him toward the door like some kind of oversized spectral border collie. He grumbles something under his breath about mutiny.

And to top it off, when Bruno gets inside the door, Fuego just vanishes.]

Traitor....

[ANYWAY. He takes a deep breath and then grins at Ren. It... just about resembles a real smile.]

Hola... [He peeks at the signups.] Let's take a look, see where I go for this--DATING?!

[A series of squeaks that sound like a giggle come from his hood. He reaches in and carefully pulls out a grey rat, lightly grasping it round the middle, and holds it up at eye-level.] You didn't.... [More squeaking.] Treachery on all sides. [He lets the rat scamper up his arm, over his shoulder, and back into his hood. Sighhhhh.]

Sorry about that, looks like my rat switched the forms. [Then he shrugs.] Eh. Might as well, yeah?

Oh, yeah! You arrived with like, the first round of us too, right? For some reason, I'd always gotten the vibe that you got here a couple months later.

[ Mostly because he never seems to have friends hanging around that she's seen. ]

[By now he's found one of those 'Hello My Name Is' stickers, written 'BRUNO' in all caps on it, and stuck it to his clothing. He smiles in greeting before picking up a random card.]

'What would be your ideal holiday destination?'

[He's starting to feel even more awkward about this. But several people have told him that just because someone looks like they're literally half his age doesn't actually mean they're that young. Still, a little liquid courage never hurt, right?
