can you tell me what ever really special about me all this time
🧙 WHO: Tsuna and you
⚔️️ WHAT: Tsuna has been updated to the end of the Future Arc, and is now dealing with the ramifications of that. By falling asleep everywhere and potentially destructive training.
đź•’ WHEN: throughout the rest of the January
🗺️ WHERE: School and training area mostly.
⚠️ WARNINGS: Spoilers for the Future Arc of KHR? Violence but mostly of the shonen manga variety, will update if necessary.
[A - Gather the Guardians; Locked to Castmates]
[He doesn't really realize it at first.
Tsuna wakes from a deep sleep, staring up at the ceiling with a look of confusion. It's not his ceiling, but he knows it somehow. He blinks, trying to recall, trying to sit up even though he's grogg, caught in that same feeling of knowing and not knowing.
And then it all hits him in a flash.
Avalon, and then as his memories are on fast-forward he remembers Merone base, Irie Shoichi, training and the Choice battle and Uni and running and fighting Byakuran and Uni sacrificing herself and Primo and Byakuran. And then they'd gone home to the past. And now, now he's back.
Tsuna shakes his head, trying to sort out the memories and lies back down. That couldn't have all been a dream. He knows it's not. His hand still bears his rings after all. The now awoken Sky Ring of the Vongola rings, and, Tsuna has to smile, Natsu's new ring as well. Though, as the memories calm down Tsuna doubts he'll be able to summon him here. Which is fine, since he'll have a griffin to contend with after all. There's still a warmth from the ring letting him know that Natsu is with him.
But the voice in his head, the one that sounds like Reborn, pipes up that he needs to gather his guardians, and so he forces himself up. He needs to check on his friends after all.]
[B - Sleep]
[And just like that, Tsuna has to re-adjust to life in Avalon.
In all things, it's not that different from adjusting to life in Namimori. His mom's not here and only a handful of his friends, but at least now he knows they are safe where they belong. But he gets up, goes to school, and carries on as best he can.
Not easily. He's no long in the future, no longer plagued with worries about Byakuran or protecting his friends and his body seems to be catching up with that. Seems to be catching up to the fact that his days are no longer filled with intense training and high-stakes battles and so most of the time, he feels exhausted.
Really, he should just take a day off and sleep but he feels like he's already done enough of that as well. So he struggles on.
And falls asleep at his desk. Against a shelf in the library. In the middle of the training area. And who knows where else, really?]
[C - Train, without my Dying Will.]
[On a day when it's not raining, Tsuna heads outside.
Avalon doesn't have the same resources as the Vongola base, and he will need space to attempt what he wants. Because he also expects that things might get destructive.
It's a weird feeling though, training this way. He doesn't have Lal Mirch or Reborn yelling in his ear or threatening him with physical violence. No Hibari to spar with. He can't enter his Hyper Dying Will mode and gain the focus he gets from that state. His pills do nothing though he may have tried one out of hope.
Instead it's just him and his magic and a new drive to make sure he has the power to protect his friends.
He looks up at the sky and ignites his hands in their bright orange flame.
i - flight
[Like a lot of things in his world, Tsuna understands them more by instinct than by any specific principle. How dying will flames provide flight is one of them. And while someone smart like Shoichi or Spanner could probably explain it, Tsuna is content with they provide propulsion and so he goes.
Here, magic seems to work a little differently.
Bursts of flame can propel him forward but he can't get that sustained levitation with just them. And certainly he lacks the agility he normally has. It's more than a little frustrating to go slamming into a tree, or the ground.
But for now he's lying on the ground, looking up at the sky and considering. He's missing something, and his hands hurt.]
ii - x-burner
[This is the big one.
Before he goes home, Tsuna at least wants an idea of how he can make his signature attack work in this world. He can't get by with wild bursts of magic anymore. And while he still has his contacts, they won't help. They aren't able to measure magic and Spanner is not here to upgrade them. So it's back to instinct.
His experiments with fire have made it known that he can't use it alone. There isn't a way to get the hard and soft flames that he needs but perhaps with combining the magic, he'll have a chance.
He has to get the balance right though, and he's back to instinct.
But he tries. In the left hand, soft flames, water and fire, contradictory but Tsuna is trying to draw on the idea that water (rain) is tranquility. In the right, fire and earth, lava almost, hard flames. And so he stands there, trying to balance, wondering if he dare to fire off a blast.]
[D - wildcard]

Especially when the kid's still there after he's had his second helping of dessert. He's more observant than his strict expression gives off when he nudges the guy. ]
Oi. [ With that, he isn't particularly gentle in his tone but the push at Tsuna's shoulder 's barely enough to move him. If it's enough for him to come around, though, he'll meet a grim face looming above him. ]
You okay? [ And concern that doesn't reflect there at all. ]
no subject
Ye-yeah, yeah...I'm awake!
[He hadn't meant to fall asleep, really. He looks around, half expecting to see Reborn waiting with some form of weapon before reality catches up with him. And he's speaking a little too quickly to really be fine.]
I'm fine.
no subject
[ Not one to speak his own judgement quickly, Juza still notices. This guy's about as bad as Tsuzuru with knocking out wherever and just about as hapless with his excuses. But it's just not in him to push for answers preemptively. ]
'kay. [ Juza concludes, the look on his face 's not budging though; so strict... even if it's just RBF. ] You gotta get back to class. [ He assumes anyway. ]
no subject
[He's barely eaten lunch and really, he hadn't even meant to put his head down at all. It had just sort of happened. He shakes his head, trying to summon more clarity and see if there's anything he can grab to eat on the way.]
I thought I had more time.
no subject
But how can someone just leave a cup of pudding untouched? To be honest, this guy's state might be worth worrying about... ] Yeah... [ Well, it's because of that, that Juza still stands around. ]
...... [ Hmph. The school's big. ] What's your next one?

Kagura...is something wrong?
[She then spots Tsuna not too far from where they both stand.]
B-boss?
no subject
If Tsuna had been thinking more clearly, he could have just texted his friends instead of wandering around the town. But at the same time, the walking helps. His head is clearing and he can start to remember Camelot more, being able to separate it from his memories of Nanimori.
And when he sees Chrome, he lights up. She's still here, she's okay.]
Chrome! Hi...I was, uh, looking for you.
no subject
...you were looking for me? D-did something happen?
[ Her body tenses up used to the many conflicts they tend to get thrown into. As far as she knew, it was a regular day, but she was unaware that her boss was in a deep slumber and have finally awakened. Her familiar leaps up onto her small shoulders to calm her, but it's possible that Tsuna can't see the ghost cat as her two-toned eyes stare at the young Vongola with interest.]
no subject
[He's not entirely sure how to explain the situation off the top of his head. Where does he even begin?]
Nothing bad, really...just, what's the last thing you remember before you got here?
no subject
I'm sorry...I can't tell you that, Boss.
[She's unaware that the other teen has gained more memories, but there's no way for her to gauge how much knowledge he has.]
But why do you ask?
[She's playing things carefully, seeing how much the young Vongola would divulge, so she can figure out how much to reveal as well.]

C-I sorry for the wait!
Tenth! What happened?!
[Did something throw him?! He looked away for one second and his boss is on the ground, and he heard the impact.]
A-Are you hurt?
[He can get a healer! Gokudera’s pulling out his device and scrolling about, searching through his contacts. He does not know any healers. Which is kind of sad considering his own training ends him in situations just like Tsuna is in.]
Hang on, I’ll find someone… I can help-!
[Gokudera is actively keeping his hand on Tsuna’s shoulder, probably pressing him down, and that’s got to be uncomfortable at best, painful at worst.]
no subject
I-I'm fine. I'm fine, Gokudera-kun. I'm fine. Really. I'm okay.
I was...I was just practicing...
I..you don't have to get anyone
[He doesn't really know how to say it just yet. Or explain what happened to him. He's just glad to see Gokudera right now.]
I'd prefer if you stayed here.
no subject
[He doesn’t sound as panicked, but also not doubting, just… still worried. Gokudera will try to calm down, tips his head this way and that to look his boss over.]
I was just going to see about calling someone. I wouldn’t dream of leaving you here on the ground if you were severely hurt!
[He’s… hurt himself pretty bad in his training before, so he knows how easy it is to brush off bad damage with adrenaline. Then it all hits later…]
You know, Larry can help me create bubbles to catch you? You can use them like a trampoline, even, then see about maintaining the height of a safe jump… That would be safer, at least.
[His brow stays furrowed, and he pulls his hand back, placing it with the other in his lap, legs folded beneath him. Gokudera doesn’t seem in any kind of rush now, maybe still just worried.]
Do you often train alone, Tenth?
no subject
[How does he even say it?]
I think, what happened to you happened to me. Like, going back home but not?
I woke up with all the memories of what happened in the future, right up until we went back to the past. And then I was back here.
[To prove it, he pulls out the chain around his neck with the awakened Vongola Sky Ring and his Natsu ring on it.]
no subject
But hearing his boss went to the future and was going back home. They’re from the same point now! Or… he hopes so. Did he get a chance to see his mom before waking back up in Avalon?]
Did you get to see Mom?
[Yes he refers to the Tenth’s mom as his mom. That’s pretty common amongst the whole lot of them, actually.]
What are you training for?
[To clear his head? Is there something else dangerous back home? Gokudera seems as worried as he usually does.]

But while he is shooting out beams of electricity at some of the targets, he notices that Tsuna is napping not far from where he is standing. He doesn’t like the idea of interrupting someone in their nap/sleep, but at the same time, he wants to check on Tsuna if he is okay. So he walks up to him very quietly, careful not to make a sound that could spook him out.)

He doesn't move as Harry approaches.]
no subject
Um, hello? Tsuna?
(Rose then teleports onto his left shoulder from her previous location on a nearby rock, squeaking just as nervously too. Harry tries to tell her to not make any noises right now.)
no subject
Almost impressive, given the sounds of other people training and the general loudness of the area.]

So he tries to shake him by the shoulders as gently as he could to see if that would work on him. Otherwise he might need to find another way to wake him up.)
