Don’t Treep, Man
[Though Tokoyami hadn’t helped out with the initial wave of undead that had plagued the farms, he is here now to help with the rebuilding of the farms. And when he hears that animal mages can use their magic to help return the lost animals back to their farms, he knows what role he can do to help out while out at the farms.]

[But while he is going around and returning animals to their homes, he comes across an unusual circumstance. A small family of baby chickens, with no apparent mother hens in sight. Well, he’s not about to let them be on their own… so he kneels down beside them.]

Are you lost? Here, let me help you find your home.

[It might be a little strange, seeing Tokoyami being trailed by a small line of peeping chicks, but eventually he will have to go up to one of the others working on the farms.]

Have any of the farmers mentioned missing chicks? I have some here looking for their family.

Open House - Magician
[Visiting Camelot’s castle is a marvel in and of itself, and there’s so many wondrous sights to see within the castle. But what draws Tokoyami’s attention the most is the magician’s show. The magician’s knife-throwing and magic tricks is impressive, but when he is picked to learn how to do a death-defying escape stunt, he steps up to the stage with the other chosen volunteer as they approach the giant lockbox. He listens carefully as the magician explains how to escape from the locked box before the giant axe falls onto it and slices it to pieces.]

Hmm… it really is a matter of timing, isn’t it?

[He looks over to the volunteer next to him.]

Would you like to attempt first, or shall I?

Animal Mage Hunt - The Hunted (CW: Violence)
[Perhaps someone had noticed him during the tournament using his animal magic. Perhaps someone saw him helping use his animal magic to herd the local farm animals back to their respective farms. Perhaps someone just saw his head and made an appropriate decision. Either way, it seems as though someone has set their sights on the bird-headed boy.]

[At first he thought he was being a little paranoid, thinking that someone was following him. That ended up getting confirmed when he asked Dark Shadow and his raven familiar, Lenore, to keep an eye out for him and they also spotted the same group following him. And that gets even more concerning when he takes a detour to try and lose them, and that group of people suddenly have him surrounded.]

Hmph..! I’ve no idea why you’re hunting me, but I will not come quietly.

[He will do his best to fend off the hunters, but even with him being combat-trained, five on one is still staggering odds. He may need some help dealing with them, or escaping.]

Animal Mage Hunt

[Deciding to take a leaf out of Elza and Eustace's books, Zidane had taken to the rooftops, making the mess of going through the alleyways nonexistent. All that left him to do was navigate over when he began to hear any and all commotion. Man, they're starting to get more coordinated in their hunts, but after dropping in so many times, you'd think they'd communicate to look up by now.]

[But no - Zidane sees five guys hassling Tokoyami from his vantage point and he picks one before leaping. It looked like he was landing on them - and he was, but not just crashing into him. He slowed to land and spring off the guy's face, putting maybe three-quarters of the force of the initial leap into his kick as he flips back and lands next to Tokoyami.]

Now this feels a little more even!

[Tokoyami had heard of the commotion animal mages had been causing, but he didn't realize that people would begin banding together to assault any animal mage they found. He had done his best to fend them off, but even with Dark Shadow helping, he soon found his back to the wall. He scowled at the hunters, ready to call upon his shadow magic to help--]

[Only to pause, staring in surprise when Zidane quite literally dropped in to help. He let out a huff, nodding.]

Thank you. I believe this does make things a little more even.

[Dark Shadow coils up as well.]

Count me in too!

[He doesn't have his shadowy powers, but he can try to help! The hunters look between each other, clearly not expecting the extra help, but they get back into their fighting stances, various magical energies swirling around their hands.]

[tantailizing]

[Time to learn how to deal with multiple people as one fighter.]

[Well, later. Zidane nods over to Tokoyami, drawing out his daggers. Does he need them out? Probably not, but these guys are probably armed - he'd been running into quite a few remembering that the quest said 'take out'. Raising an eyebrow, he grins at Dark Shadow.]

Three on four... but how about one more?

[Piping a brief whistle tune with his lips, that would be one more of the hunters bowled over as Moguo rushes onto the scene. Was he needed for something? Oh... his fur puffs up and he angrily chirps 'kupo'.]

This feels better~

[Normally, multiple opponents aren't a big deal. But that was when he had his Quirk to rely upon.]

[Well, now that the odds were a little more even, the hunters look a little hesitant. But one in the back, the clear leader, cracks his knuckles and draws his weapon.]

Two for the price of one! Let's get 'em, boys!

[Tokoyami scoffs as the hunters advance, turning to Zidane.]

Come. We have to teach these fools a lesson!

[And it'll start with him using his Dark Magic to manipulate the shadows into grappling the hunters.]

[tantailizing]

[A hole in training that should be addressed while he's here. Two for the price of one?]

[Zidane rolls his eyes too, but then locks them with the leader.]

They brought this on themselves...

[He trails, but when the Dark Magic goes in to grapple the hunters, Zidane moves in almost a blink, appearing in front of the leader. His daggers move with flourish to cut, and boy, he better block if he wants to even contend. He'll have to ask Izuku for more paralytic coating if he didn't mind making it again.]

And you picked the wrong mage to mess with!

Don’t Treep, Man

[rutilance]

[ She was so focused on the chicks that she barely noticed him come up to her (or the fact he had a bird's head, for that matter) but once he spoke she snapped out of it. ]

O-oh! Um. I don't know for sure. But I'd bet the farmer whose coop was destroyed. Or maybe one of them? I only helped one so far though. If he's not missing them, he'd probably know who was, right?

[ She couldn't help but keep getting a little distracted from him while talking though, eyes going to the little chicks and just smiling a little goofily. ]

[They are a little cute, aren't they? Pecking at the ground and peeping, and when she looks down at them, they look up at her. A couple hide behind Tokoyami's leg, but others just peep curiously.]

Hmm... Well, that appears to be the best lead I have. Do you happen to know where I can find him?

[rutilance]

[ Ruby can't help but reach out to them with her own animal magic, sending a sensation of calm and reassurance - she would do them no harm. She almost misses Tokoyami's question. ]

Oh! Yes. I helped him with fixing the coop. This way!

[ She started off in a specific direction, waving for Tokoyami to follow. ]

[The extra animal magic seems to help the little chicks, and they peep happily and follow along after Ruby. Fumikage follows along after her, keeping an eye on the chicks as he does, but he also looks out over the farms.]

There is quite a lot of damage that needs to be repaired...

[rutilance]

[ Ruby looked back at him over her shoulder. ]

Yeah. I've been helping where I can, but since I'm small and unskilled in building and stuff I've mostly only been able to help with cleanup, and with finding lost animals. Though I'm pretty good at that so far.

Oh! Right! I'm Ruby Nakamura.

Animal Mage Hunt

[Help comes soon enough - with the bursr of a smoke bomb up in the branches of a tree! Perched atop one branch, a costumed duck poses in the mist.]

I am the terror that flaps in the night!
I am the network error that cuts off evil's internet connection...
I am Darkwing Duck!

[With that, he drops himself into the fray! ...He was hoping to do a dropkick, but he slips and instead just straight-up falls onto one of the attackers!]

[That... was certainly quite an entrance. Both the hunters and Tokoyami himself stare in surprise at the burst of smoke and costumed duck that appears, but once he realizes who it is, Tokoyami calls out.]

Darkwing Duck!

[Oh, whoops, he sort of fell on one of the attackers... but even so, the sight of Darkwing Duck bolsters the young hero, and he turns to the remaining attackers.]

Dark Shadow, let's go!

You got it!!

[His shadowy friend may not have the ability to get big and lash out the way he used to, but Dark Shadow can still tackle one of the attackers down. And while he does, Fumikage will channel his dark magic to grasp at the shadows near him, manipulating them in a way to make them rise up and blast at the attackers with a tangible force, hopefully to knock a few away.]

No worries!

[flapsin]

In the... feathers...! [He grunts that to confirm his presence. At least the guy he fall on broke most of his fall - and possibly broke some other things as well! So it's just a matter of finishing incapacitating the hunter. He's just distracted at the same time, looking up as Dark Shadow is unleashed!]

Whoa! That... that sure is some fighting partner you've got there, Tsukuyomi! ...Well done!

[He just also has some work to do of his own! Another of the attackers comes by him, and Darkwing unleashes a blast of light magic to the face to momentarily blind him, then tries to kick him over!]

[blackabyss]

[Dark Shadow takes a brief moment to look up at Darkwing Duck and flash him what can only be described as a shadowy smile.]

[The inability to use Dark Shadow how he normally would was a bit of a hindrance when Fumikage first arrived here, but the knowledge he had from his Quirk did allow him to use his dark magic in a way that was similar to his Quirk. So Fumikage channels his magic and manipulates the shadows around the three of them, forming shadowy hands to pick up and toss the offending attackers roughly into the nearby walls.]

[A shadowy smile... that's both strange and cool.]

You're quite welcome! It's an honor to fight alongside such promising young heroes! [Although he's not sure what Dark Shadow's deal is - it seems like he's with Tokoyami? He can't tell for sure, but the fight's more important right now. Darkwing focuses on his current opponent - with the one he fell on already down and three of the others currently thrown by Dark Shadow, Darkwing's free to focus his attention on this one. He shows some fancy footwork despite his earlier clumsiness, delivering some quick jabs to the opponent and then throwing him over!]

Animal Mage Hunt

[The gunner had just finished leaving a gift in one of the apartments nearby when she sighed. It seemed there weren't many dull moments these days when she sensed the energy nearby. She very much longed for the days where she could just pass her days away with no interruptions.

Of course she could have simply chosen another route to take, but the gunner had already taken the roofs to get to this area and wanted to leave via foot. The only path available, however, had her coming upon a band of thugs surrounding someone from a bird tribe.

Inwardly sighing at her ill-fortune, the gunner came to a stop.] You're all blocking my way. Move aside.

[The attackers had been advancing on Fumikage, but all stop when the new voice is heard. They look back at the gunner, one scoffing.]

Scram, girlie! We got business with bird boy here!

[Fumikage doesn't know who this woman is, but he isn't about to make this opportunity go to waste. Channeling his dark magic, he reaches out for the shadows, manipulating them with his magic to make a semi-tangible tendril that he uses to strike at the attackers.]

Hey no worries! WB

[Her irritation was palpable when they told her to get lost. Business or not, they were still in her way. It seemed that somehow the shadows agreed with her and soon enough something whipped out from it to attack at one of the targets.

Folding her arms across her chest, the gunner didn't intervene but instead began to watch was may be unfolding. If she were to be honest with herself, part of her was tempted to pull Sturm from her shoulders and shoot the lot of them if she had to wait much longer.]

[The tendril of shadow does knock a few of the attackers down, but a couple do retaliate. One begins to cast some elemental magic, creating a fireball which he launches at Fumikage. The young hero ducks out of the way, continuing to manipulate the shadows into large, shadowy hands to grapple the hunters.]

[His new observer may notice that he's actually not aiming to harm the attackers; merely grapple and knock them down so he can escape. Even Dark Shadow does his best, hopping from the backpack on Fumikage's back to tackle one of the hunters to the ground.]

[He does his best, but another casts Light magic to dispel the shadows around him, causing Fumikage to grumble under his breath. He turns to the person at the mouth of the alley.]

I could use some help!

Sorry for the wait! It's my turn to be super delayed.

[The bird man seems to have been handling it well enough, even as a fireball was sent his way. Elza hoped this at least would mean he'd deal with this mess sooner so she could continue.

Although... given that he wasn't actually aiming to harm the attackers. So, he's one of those is he? There seemed to be a lot of those in this world. It really was an inefficient way of dealing with these types. Better to simply take their lives then you don't have to worry about them pulling this type of nonsense in the future.]

Perhaps, but my aid doesn't come cheap.

[She's serious, of course.]

[Din is repairing a fence when Tokoyami approaches him. It's a bit of a unique situation, as he's balanced the board on his mudhorn to hold it up. Though he pauses to think.]

I thought I heard someone mention something, but I think they're organizing animals in the next field over.

I'm almost done here. I can show you.

[blackabyss]

Alright, thank you. I don't mind waiting.

[He will step away a little to give Din some room to finish his repair work. And to make sure none of the little chicks will get in the way. They try to swarm around Din to peep at him curiously, but Fumikage calls out to them.]

Give him some space while he works. He will help us find your home in a moment.

[Truthfully, Din doesn't really mind and might smile a little bit behind his helmet. He's used to having interference of some sort. Whether it was from Grogu or the kids in his tribe when he visited. His mudhorn snorts a bit though.

It doesn't take long for the last nail to be driven in and Din sits back for a moment to admire his handiwork before finally standing.]

[Fortunately the little chicks don't get too much in the way, and soon enough Din is ready. Fumikage nods.]
