Don’t Treep, Man
[Though Tokoyami hadn’t helped out with the initial wave of undead that had plagued the farms, he is here now to help with the rebuilding of the farms. And when he hears that animal mages can use their magic to help return the lost animals back to their farms, he knows what role he can do to help out while out at the farms.]

[But while he is going around and returning animals to their homes, he comes across an unusual circumstance. A small family of baby chickens, with no apparent mother hens in sight. Well, he’s not about to let them be on their own… so he kneels down beside them.]

Are you lost? Here, let me help you find your home.

[It might be a little strange, seeing Tokoyami being trailed by a small line of peeping chicks, but eventually he will have to go up to one of the others working on the farms.]

Have any of the farmers mentioned missing chicks? I have some here looking for their family.

Open House - Magician
[Visiting Camelot’s castle is a marvel in and of itself, and there’s so many wondrous sights to see within the castle. But what draws Tokoyami’s attention the most is the magician’s show. The magician’s knife-throwing and magic tricks is impressive, but when he is picked to learn how to do a death-defying escape stunt, he steps up to the stage with the other chosen volunteer as they approach the giant lockbox. He listens carefully as the magician explains how to escape from the locked box before the giant axe falls onto it and slices it to pieces.]

Hmm… it really is a matter of timing, isn’t it?

[He looks over to the volunteer next to him.]

Would you like to attempt first, or shall I?

Animal Mage Hunt - The Hunted (CW: Violence)
[Perhaps someone had noticed him during the tournament using his animal magic. Perhaps someone saw him helping use his animal magic to herd the local farm animals back to their respective farms. Perhaps someone just saw his head and made an appropriate decision. Either way, it seems as though someone has set their sights on the bird-headed boy.]

[At first he thought he was being a little paranoid, thinking that someone was following him. That ended up getting confirmed when he asked Dark Shadow and his raven familiar, Lenore, to keep an eye out for him and they also spotted the same group following him. And that gets even more concerning when he takes a detour to try and lose them, and that group of people suddenly have him surrounded.]

Hmph..! I’ve no idea why you’re hunting me, but I will not come quietly.

[He will do his best to fend off the hunters, but even with him being combat-trained, five on one is still staggering odds. He may need some help dealing with them, or escaping.]

[The tendril of shadow does knock a few of the attackers down, but a couple do retaliate. One begins to cast some elemental magic, creating a fireball which he launches at Fumikage. The young hero ducks out of the way, continuing to manipulate the shadows into large, shadowy hands to grapple the hunters.]

[His new observer may notice that he's actually not aiming to harm the attackers; merely grapple and knock them down so he can escape. Even Dark Shadow does his best, hopping from the backpack on Fumikage's back to tackle one of the hunters to the ground.]

[He does his best, but another casts Light magic to dispel the shadows around him, causing Fumikage to grumble under his breath. He turns to the person at the mouth of the alley.]

I could use some help!

[The bird man seems to have been handling it well enough, even as a fireball was sent his way. Elza hoped this at least would mean he'd deal with this mess sooner so she could continue.

Although... given that he wasn't actually aiming to harm the attackers. So, he's one of those is he? There seemed to be a lot of those in this world. It really was an inefficient way of dealing with these types. Better to simply take their lives then you don't have to worry about them pulling this type of nonsense in the future.]

Perhaps, but my aid doesn't come cheap.

[She's serious, of course.]

[Hero training always taught to incapacitate over kill. Heroes didn't kill unless absolutely necessary, especially if one went pro. So of course he was going to prioritize incapacitating them over outright killing them. Villains were still people, after all.]

[But despite his skills, he was still just a teenager, and a group of adults was a hard thing for any kid to face. So when the woman speaks up, he looks at her incredulously. Even Dark Shadow pipes up.]

No fair!! Help us!!

[Fumikage scoffs under his breath. He doesn't really have a choice, does he?]

So, a deal with the devil, is it..? So be it. Then lend me your aid!

[She was in no rush to help out. No, it wasn't her problem after all even if she was standing there witnessing everything unfold.

When she got called a devil it brought a pleasant smile up her lips. There was no offense taken in the slightest and she supposed to some... Or many... She had probably been thought of in similar ways before.

Feeling the rifle against her back humming silently for her, she resisted the urge to take it in hand while she finalised the deal.]

Any restrictions?

[Speak now or watch the body count rise.]

[Restrictions? What sort of person was this? Give him a moment to reply, because he has to duck under another attack and kick out to make one of the assailants back away. Once he's able to, he'll turn back to her.]

Incapacitate them, so we can hand them in to the proper authorities!

[He's still a kid, and he's still in Hero training. He doesn't kill if he doesn't have to!]

[The restriction wasn't all that surprising. She had almost gone ahead on just assuming that was what was wanted but she was a professional. She wasn't about to assume anything.

Elza didn't hesitate any further. Keeping Sturm strapped to her back, she used her kenetic energy to disappear from where she stood and teleported directly behind one of the targets.

Her elbow came up to knock against the man's temple, stunning him for a moment. That was all she needed as she dropped down and swept her leg out to wipe his legs out from underneath him.

She was quick and she didn't waste time. Keeping her attention on the others, Elza's hand snuck into a pocket at her belt to grab at the thin wire hidden there. Provided no one else attacked her at this moment, she had every intention of binding the man's hands together with the wire.]

[The other assailants had been more focused on their target, so when Elza finally attacks, they are caught off-guard. One is down quickly, drawing their attention and allowing Tokoyami to lash out, using the shadows to create a tendril that knocks another man down.]

[On his own, this would have been difficult. But with her now helping? He may just survive this..!]

[No matter how hairy the situation might become, Elza had been contracted to aid in this battle. While she was extremely unmoved by the torrent of emotions most experienced, she at least took her job seriously.

She heard the fight continue behind her while the wire was withdrawn. From what she could hear, it appeared that the match was no longer in her target's favour but had since shifted. Good. That at least meant she could completely neutralise this target first before assisting with her client's current one.

It was swift work without the annoyance of someone attempting to come at her from behind. While she was good at close quarters, it was far from her favourite style. At least there were only a small number here.

Her boot pressed hard into his side as she moved to kick him over to lay on his back. The stun seemed to be wearing off as he sluggishly began to try fighting back her attempts to bind his hands together. "Don't just stand there! Get over and help!" The man managed to gasped out angrily while she dug her knee into his back.

Oh how she wished she could have more fun with him, but this would have to do.]

[One man bound by Elza, another taken out by a swift kick to the gut by Fumikage. Dark Shadow lets out a little yell as he leaps at another of the hunters, tackling them with his shadowy body. The remaining hunters seem to dislike their dwindling chances, and after looking at each other, they seem to determine that their best course of action is to flee. As the remaining hunters run, Tokoyami huffs at them.]

Flee while you can! You will not escape the eye of justice! No shadow will shelter you!

[Though he would like to run after them, Fumikage winces, letting out a grunt as he rests a hand on his side. Ah... he took some good hits back there.]
