[I. Cursed Kidnapees]

[One second, he's recovering from an almost fatal poisoning whose side effects should be gone, but not really.]

[The next, he finds himself in a dungeon. At first, he thinks the townspeople from trial two found him, but that's not possible. He's not sure what to think after that; at least, not until the strange man peeks in and Zidane's tail stands. Oh hell, he knew this kind of thing was around because of Amarant, but it was here too?]

[Arms crossing, he watches the first two get taken to fight. He feels he's unarmed, and figures not bothering to check for his phone or anything like that. Zidane's going to be here for a while, but he'll at least try to check-up on anyone else that gets tossed in with him.]

[II. Fighting Ring]

[Zidane's good for a bet against monsters, but unpredictable and unreliable to bet on against other captives. Bet on him, throw a 'boon' his way, or a sabotage, one fight he might win, but the next he might toss. Do you - an audience member - take that chance?]

[As for his opponent for today, how long has it been since your last meal? Or are you just competitive and the setting doesn't matter? Airing your reasoning could net a win today... or a loss. If you're just gunning into a fight, who knows what the end result will be.]

[OOC: Zidane's not here to entertain for once, but he'll make the fight believable enough for a loss. Look, he'll make sure other people eat, but he will defend himself if his opponent is actively up for bodily harm - then he's making sure his opponent is out for a few matches to spare a few others. Lastly, some boons/sabotages might push Zidane to acting so choose wisely depending on how you want things to play out. Plot with me on plurk: demidemonLove]

[III. Roaring Rescuers]

Kupo!

[Well, if that isn't a familiar sound he found himself missing. Turning his head, he sees a red pom through the door.]

Moguo! There you are! How'd you get here?

[Who the heck is saving Zidane? Didn't happen to get his daggers and phone, did you? If not, well, he's a bit malnourished and bruised - maybe sporting a few extra cuts, but he's got the energy to get his stuff back.]

[IV. Overgrowth]

[After a few days to himself to recuperate (you can't make him visit a doctor), Zidane's ready to get back out and take a quest or two to help around Camelot.]

[Of course, he doesn't clearly read what he's signing up for with this quest. From the name alone, he was expecting to deal with plants - maybe some de-weeding or someone accidentally brought another weird flower back. Standing back from the house, he watches the tentacles writhing around it; yeah, this isn't gardening.]

... Soooo, how do we wanna do this? We might be able to haul it out alive with some untangling.

[But he wants to hear his companion's opinion.]

[V. Wildcard]

[OOC: After the beginning of the month, he'll be taking it easy. Some of his usual around Camelot City can happen like his odd jobs and training, but other than that, nope. Again, come plot with me over on plurk! demidemonLove~]

"Luca Blight... Had been next in line to the throne, before he murdered his father and took possession of the throne himself." Elza said as if she had been talking about the weather in return. "His strength was only rivaled by his bloodlust and cruelty."

"I heard the stories that it took an army of men to weaken him for the rune bearer to finish the mad King," She added... Although the whispers she heard also involved that other kid... Jowy... Betraying Luca to do it.

Shaking her head lightly, Elza pulled her mind away from those memories. "The runes can give you incredible power and there are whispers of immortality given to those who possess them."

"Ah..."

There's a word for killing the King or royalty. What's that word? Heck if Zidane remembers at the moment, but he listened as she talked about this 'Mad King'. Oof, guess every world had their crazy royals - though, he guessed it was not completely on Brahne for that to happen.

"... Eh, immortality wouldn't be worth it."

Zidane's reply rewarded him with the barest hint of a chuckle. "Not many would say such things," She murmured. There were only a select handful of groups who would know such things back in her world, but she kept that piece of information to herself.

"Really? What about you? What do you think?" Immortality sounds like a lofty dream, but it had consequences. And those could end up affecting other people so, no thanks. But those were his thoughts; what were hers on the subject?

"About immortality?" Elza asked even if she knew exactly what he was asking. Her footstops came to a stop as they came to a crossing.

"I could annoy some more people if I stuck around for longer," Elza said with a light chuckle. Seeing nothing coming their way, the gunner crossed. "But I am happy with my end."

"Hehe! That's true!" He wouldn't mind maybe annoying future generations, but he nods his head. "Same... it has to happen eventually. And if it doesn't, I dunno..."

It's not something he's had to think about that it might... not.

From what she'd seen from the kid, his answer didn't surprise her in the slightest. "You've got a good heart, kid," Elza offered as they approached the end of her mental ground map.

Walking the last block, the gunner's footsteps came to a stop. She didn't face him though and instead took in the streets spanning out to the north and south of her position. It was time to continue.

"Thanks for the company kid," Elza said. She did glance over at him and offer him a subtle smile. "Keep yourself out of trouble."

"You can use my name..." He knows he gave it to her last time, and she didn't give hers in return. Most people might find that rude, but eh, people like their secrets.

When she stops, so does he, glancing her way with a hum.

"No problem. I'll help you map out more of the city any day." He grins back.

"I could," Elza said teasingly as she gave a little shrug. The offer had her chuckle the barest little sound. He was a sharp kid, of that she held no doubt.

"Yeah, maybe," She offered before heading off down the street.
