[I. Cursed Kidnapees]

[One second, he's recovering from an almost fatal poisoning whose side effects should be gone, but not really.]

[The next, he finds himself in a dungeon. At first, he thinks the townspeople from trial two found him, but that's not possible. He's not sure what to think after that; at least, not until the strange man peeks in and Zidane's tail stands. Oh hell, he knew this kind of thing was around because of Amarant, but it was here too?]

[Arms crossing, he watches the first two get taken to fight. He feels he's unarmed, and figures not bothering to check for his phone or anything like that. Zidane's going to be here for a while, but he'll at least try to check-up on anyone else that gets tossed in with him.]

[II. Fighting Ring]

[Zidane's good for a bet against monsters, but unpredictable and unreliable to bet on against other captives. Bet on him, throw a 'boon' his way, or a sabotage, one fight he might win, but the next he might toss. Do you - an audience member - take that chance?]

[As for his opponent for today, how long has it been since your last meal? Or are you just competitive and the setting doesn't matter? Airing your reasoning could net a win today... or a loss. If you're just gunning into a fight, who knows what the end result will be.]

[OOC: Zidane's not here to entertain for once, but he'll make the fight believable enough for a loss. Look, he'll make sure other people eat, but he will defend himself if his opponent is actively up for bodily harm - then he's making sure his opponent is out for a few matches to spare a few others. Lastly, some boons/sabotages might push Zidane to acting so choose wisely depending on how you want things to play out. Plot with me on plurk: demidemonLove]

[III. Roaring Rescuers]

Kupo!

[Well, if that isn't a familiar sound he found himself missing. Turning his head, he sees a red pom through the door.]

Moguo! There you are! How'd you get here?

[Who the heck is saving Zidane? Didn't happen to get his daggers and phone, did you? If not, well, he's a bit malnourished and bruised - maybe sporting a few extra cuts, but he's got the energy to get his stuff back.]

[IV. Overgrowth]

[After a few days to himself to recuperate (you can't make him visit a doctor), Zidane's ready to get back out and take a quest or two to help around Camelot.]

[Of course, he doesn't clearly read what he's signing up for with this quest. From the name alone, he was expecting to deal with plants - maybe some de-weeding or someone accidentally brought another weird flower back. Standing back from the house, he watches the tentacles writhing around it; yeah, this isn't gardening.]

... Soooo, how do we wanna do this? We might be able to haul it out alive with some untangling.

[But he wants to hear his companion's opinion.]

[V. Wildcard]

[OOC: After the beginning of the month, he'll be taking it easy. Some of his usual around Camelot City can happen like his odd jobs and training, but other than that, nope. Again, come plot with me over on plurk! demidemonLove~]

[Whoever these captors were, they'd certainly had a time with Lethe; she was tossed into the cell not just semi-unconscious, but the glow of spell bindings chaining her arms and feet. Enchanted to be light as a ribbon when carried by the jailer, yet cause her distinctly un-catlike landing to be accompanied with a heavy metallic thunk. The laguz had knocked some people down in the process, but she couldn't exactly help that.

They were already beginning to fade, not meant as a permanent solution. Wouldn't do for a fighter to be handicapped too early, after all. Lethe wasn't about to sit and wait patiently though, writhing with flattened ears like an angry cat. Which was precisely what she was.]

Get these off.

[Oh look at that, another person with animal features like him. There was a surprising lack of them around here, but not the time to be thinking about that.]

[While some of their cellmates move back from the writing feline girl, Zidane doesn't.]

Take it easy. They'll fade in a few minutes. Tugging too hard will only injure your arm or leg.

[Guess who Moguo brought with him.]

Zidane.

[Eustace appears just a few steps behind, that little moogle fast for a giant marshmallow. But the erune just narrows his eyes upon seeing the thief in the cell.]

Are you injured?

[Fast and smothering for Zidane has a face full of fur for a moment as Mogul latches to his head. When the moogle let’s go, he just grins at Eustace.]

Heeeey! How’s it going?

[He’s being casual but finally, rescue’s here. At the question, he waves a hand.]

Nothing I can’t heal up from in a day.

[flamekthunder]

As long as you can move.

[And with that he fishes out the keys he had ""borrowed"" and unlocks the door and restraints.]

Here.

[Guess what Eustace grabbed for Zidane and is holding out to him? Hint: it's a pair and they're shiny and pointy and good for stabbing.]

Oh yeah. Look, they wanted people to be able to fight. Leg injuries weren't worth it.

[Freed, Zidane takes a second to rub his wrists and shake out his hands.]

[Blinking, his eyes grow and his tail wags. Of course he's gonna accept his daggers!]

Yes, thanks! Time to show the folks just how much I appreciate them housing us here.

[There's a light grin at seeing his reaction to his weapons. When he saw them wherever they were he knew they would be needed and was quick to snap them up.]

...I had a feeling you wouldn't just want to sneak out. [A small sigh—but since he heard about this being an underground fighting ring and there were other victims, he wouldn't have wanted to leave it alone, either.] Let's free the rest of the prisoners in this block before you go too crazy.

[Good thing he did; though, Zidane doesn't think they figured out how to fully use his daggers either.]

And let this place try starting up again? [Look, he's a good guy, but... there are lines in the sand.] Right. Don't freak out if we open a cell to a monster. They'll be wanting out too.

I've heard something about that while investigating, but what exactly is going on here?

It had been a short while since those fateful days of the magic shenanigans. The gunner certainly hadn't been all that impressed with the whole situation or the memories it had dragged out.

Since then she had kept herself busy. Camelot was a big city which she knew nothing about. While she was no longer being pursued, she didn't want to leave anything to chance. So she had undertaken the challenge of taking a mental map of every accessible point throughout the city. This meant travelling through each area in all possible ways.

The gunner was running over the rooftops, leaping between them with natural ease, while she finished scouting out this particular section of the city. She came to a stop at the edge of the building and peered out at the city sprawling before her.

So much had happened since she had arrived... So much that should never have happened. She hadn't expected to survive the day let alone be pulled until this world and forced to continue living until she was returned.

Inwardly shaking her head to rid herself of those thoughts, Elza refocused on the task she'd given herself. Now that she'd mapped out this part of the city from above, it was time to see it from ground level.

The building she was ended up on was two storey in height. Catching sight of a small window ledge on the next building over, the gunner stepped back before running forward and taking a leap off of the building. Her cloak billowed (as much as her rifle, Sturm, allowed it) while she said effortlessly towards the second floor window ledge. Landing on the balls of her feet, she grabbed the ledge with one hand before stepping back and draping herself down to hang with one arm. With a quick release of her fingers, Elza landed silently in the quiet alley just off of the main street. Moving to stand in one graceful motion, Elza readjusted her hood up to cover her face before she moved to step out into the bust street.

Looks like some humans and unseelie...? Decided to make this fighting arena, and it looks like they mainly brought us otherworlders here. Restricted out magic, limited our food, let people bet on us in matches, pay for increasing our odds or messing with our changes... y'know, that sort of shit. And while it wasn't so bad against the monsters, they'd make us fight each other.

[Lethe's head was free at least, and she twisted it about to see who was talking to her. Then the laguz hissed at him for his troubles.]

Easy for you to say.

[She felt a bit of give in the restraints; as far as Lethe was concerned it was working, and so she kept wriggling. The restraint spell was starting to chafe welts into her wrists, small injuries the laguz noted and filed away as unimportant.]

[His expression only darkens as he hears the extent of what's transpired. Authorities should likely be called in so those involved are captured, but... Well, they can still their share.]

How many?

[And when they reach another door, Eustace will get to unlocking it.]

Yeah, easy for me since mine have already faded.

[And with how much she continues, she probably thinks it’s working. He could try stopping her, but she might scratch him. Ehhh… risk worth taking as he took another step closer.]

No idea now. I was put in isolation a while back. Kept sharing my win spoils with cellmates.

[Hey, that looks like a flaming cat.]

We'll have to try and find as many as we can then.

[And that is indeed a flaming cat. Eustace will be cautious after opening the door as it immediately lunges forward despite being restrained by chains.]

Easy, we're here to break you out.

[It's Izuku that's working on this quest too, looking at the building with a little uncertainty on his face.]

... I'm not sure how much damage that'll be to the house if we tried to haul it out. But- I don't want to harm it if we don't have to either.

[It doesn't really seem like a monster. Just a creature that was put somewhere at the wrong time and place? But those tentacles don't look exactly safe either.]

Hm...

[Scratching his chin, he blinks.]

So... that stuff we got from the slugs. Is that ready?

[Even if they had it, were they hauling it to the bay? Silent Shore?]

[Jean looks both tired and annoyed at the whole situation, which... is likely a very common mood. Normally he's competitive sort but in a forced situation like this... no. He's definitely not.]

So, do you know how to fight?

[It's a common question he asks, just in case.]

I'm really no interested in who wins. I just want to avoid injuries.

[tantailizing]

Yeah, I know. Don't worry about me.

[How he heals up is pretty odd too so getting hurt doesn't really matter.]

When was your last meal?

Yesterday. I'm fine on that front.

[He's gone on without food longer thanks to titan hell conditions.]

How about yours?

Mapping out the city from above was great and all, but it did make a person visible when other people aren't doing it. For Zidane, it was a casual glance up towards the sky while en route to another of his usual shops to see if they needed any help when he noticed someone bound overhead. Blinking, heading to work sank to the bottom of his priority.

Following after, they seemed to be looking down on occasion, but they're never close enough that Zidane can make out who they are; also, he was trying not to be spotted. What if they were trying to be discreet? Wouldn't do to get caught and alarm them on accident. Besides, he just got caught recently; he was going to be better about his stealth.

Curiously watching, he managed not to whistle as they made their way back down to ground level, leaping from building to second floor ledge and then finally touching down. As casual as they try to be getting back into the crowd, Zidane was equally as casual walking along with them.

"Pretty good moves back there..."

[Horray for growing up in questionable conditions.]

After my last monster match so pretty recently.

[But not really. Hey, he can act like it though.]

We outta play it up this time then. Make it the final bout of the evening.

[Jean nods. He still kind of wanted Zidane to win more. He probably needed the nutrition more than him.]

Yeah... and let's hope no one things of any fun additions to our fight.

[One time he had had the pleasure of being on roller skates. It sucked and he was defeated pretty fast after.]

Really? But it's fun to sabotage a sabotage...

[The last he got was weights... he might've used a little magic to beat his opponent with their help.]
