[Open] Chaos Mod
🧙 WHO: Zidane and you!
⚔️️ WHAT: Straight up not having a good time... aka June Catch-All
🕒 WHEN: After the last trial in May/Early June
🗺️ WHERE: Underground fighting ring, dungeon, around Camelot City
⚠️ WARNINGS: First three prompts are the kidnapping prompts from the TDM. Same warnings apply
[One second, he's recovering from an almost fatal poisoning whose side effects should be gone, but not really.]
[The next, he finds himself in a dungeon. At first, he thinks the townspeople from trial two found him, but that's not possible. He's not sure what to think after that; at least, not until the strange man peeks in and Zidane's tail stands. Oh hell, he knew this kind of thing was around because of Amarant, but it was here too?]
[Arms crossing, he watches the first two get taken to fight. He feels he's unarmed, and figures not bothering to check for his phone or anything like that. Zidane's going to be here for a while, but he'll at least try to check-up on anyone else that gets tossed in with him.]
Hey, you alright?
[Zidane's good for a bet against monsters, but unpredictable and unreliable to bet on against other captives. Bet on him, throw a 'boon' his way, or a sabotage, one fight he might win, but the next he might toss. Do you - an audience member - take that chance?]
[As for his opponent for today, how long has it been since your last meal? Or are you just competitive and the setting doesn't matter? Airing your reasoning could net a win today... or a loss. If you're just gunning into a fight, who knows what the end result will be.]
[OOC: Zidane's not here to entertain for once, but he'll make the fight believable enough for a loss. Look, he'll make sure other people eat, but he will defend himself if his opponent is actively up for bodily harm - then he's making sure his opponent is out for a few matches to spare a few others. Lastly, some boons/sabotages might push Zidane to acting so choose wisely depending on how you want things to play out. Plot with me on plurk:
demidemonLove]
Kupo!
[Well, if that isn't a familiar sound he found himself missing. Turning his head, he sees a red pom through the door.]
Moguo! There you are! How'd you get here?
[Who the heck is saving Zidane? Didn't happen to get his daggers and phone, did you? If not, well, he's a bit malnourished and bruised - maybe sporting a few extra cuts, but he's got the energy to get his stuff back.]
[After a few days to himself to recuperate (you can't make him visit a doctor), Zidane's ready to get back out and take a quest or two to help around Camelot.]
[Of course, he doesn't clearly read what he's signing up for with this quest. From the name alone, he was expecting to deal with plants - maybe some de-weeding or someone accidentally brought another weird flower back. Standing back from the house, he watches the tentacles writhing around it; yeah, this isn't gardening.]
... Soooo, how do we wanna do this? We might be able to haul it out alive with some untangling.
[But he wants to hear his companion's opinion.]
[OOC: After the beginning of the month, he'll be taking it easy. Some of his usual around Camelot City can happen like his odd jobs and training, but other than that, nope. Again, come plot with me over on plurk!

[Freed, Zidane takes a second to rub his wrists and shake out his hands.]
[Blinking, his eyes grow and his tail wags. Of course he's gonna accept his daggers!]
Yes, thanks! Time to show the folks just how much I appreciate them housing us here.
no subject
wherever they werehe knew they would be needed and was quick to snap them up.]...I had a feeling you wouldn't just want to sneak out. [A small sigh—but since he heard about this being an underground fighting ring and there were other victims, he wouldn't have wanted to leave it alone, either.] Let's free the rest of the prisoners in this block before you go too crazy.
no subject
And let this place try starting up again? [Look, he's a good guy, but... there are lines in the sand.] Right. Don't freak out if we open a cell to a monster. They'll be wanting out too.

no subject
How many?
[And when they reach another door, Eustace will get to unlocking it.]
no subject
[Hey, that looks like a flaming cat.]
no subject
[And that is indeed a flaming cat. Eustace will be cautious after opening the door as it immediately lunges forward despite being restrained by chains.]
Easy, we're here to break you out.
no subject
[That is, if moogles still had the abilities in this world somehow. Meanwhile, facing down a flaming cat chained up as opposed to loose in the ring? Much different since it's up for listening and willing to negotiate a trade for its freedom.]
[... Though, if they're lying, it was going to incinerate them both.]
Hey, we're not lying here. Take it easy and we'll get those chains off.
no subject
We just need to get close.
[The flaming cat stares at them and the keys before its fires dim down and informs them they will be safe. But again, one false move...
Eustace just walks in and quickly unlocks the chains. As soon as the special restraints holding it clatter to the ground, the Fogueria leaps forward, its flame burning brightly for a moment.
Finally, it laughs, I will make them pay for this!
It then looks at Eustace and Zidane, its tail swishing in agitation.
My brother is also here. Free him and we will give you our aid.]
no subject
[It doesn't talk long with the actual keys and he moves aside as the Fogueria leaps forward. It's weird being able to talk to the flaming cat now, but ya can't do that in the ring...]
[But at the mention of the brother, he tilts his head.]
Hm... hey, Moguo, think you can track down this guy's bro?
[That sounds like an affirmative 'kupo~' to him.]
no subject
Lead the way. But we're releasing anyone else we run into along the way.
["Fine. You go ahead, I'll melt down the bars and chains of those here." And when Eustace arches a brow at its flames, it sighs. "I won't burn them, dog."
Eustace just stares at him before looking back at Zidane.]
Let's go.
no subject
We don't want them caught up in the finale.
[Also, he has to snicker a bit at the dog comment. Even the flaming cat gets one. But, right right, he brings his daggers together at the end of their hilts, locking them together into a dual-bladed spear basically, as he takes the lead.]
no subject
But as expected, their efforts don't go by unnoticed. As they reach the end of the current block, some guards appear from the other end and shout—and they have yet to find the other Fogueria so it must be in the next area.
"Go, I'll take care of them," its eyes gleam as the flames burn hotter and brighter.
Nodding, Eustace turns as the doors ahead of them open, undoubtedly with more guards. With the small group of prisoners having grabbed whatever they could find, he shouts at Zidane.]
Go!
[They'll have to take the lead and break through the guards, but at least they have a mob with them, ragtag as it is.]
no subject
[It was only a matter of time before guards tracked in on their location - not like they're causing a commotion or anything with a flaming cat around.]
[He trusts the Fogueria has that end of the hallway handled, but as for this door ahead of them, he totally has dibs at the word go. He's not even gonna wait for Eustace to go first.]
Time for some payback!
[Crouching briefly, it's a little magic from Moguo and some of his own magic for a boost, he's shooting forward with some force, his weapon a whirling blender as he barrels into the guards. Okay, he's a little mad at them for holding him, but what had Zidane more riled up was using other people, some of which hadn't fought a day in their life.]
no subject
...Although, wow, the guy really had some pent up anger, huh? Well, not that he can blame him. And Zidane isn't the only one—there's a loud shot as the mob rush forward to get some hits in, some scattering off to cause their own chaos. Eustace does little to stop them as having more distractions would be to their advantage.
Eventually the guards are overwhelmed, allowing them to proceed forward, but it's a certainty they'll encounter more guards now.]
no subject
[Any that doesn't go down to the mob or Eustace would find Zidane springing on them until they could move forward.]
Geez, with so many people working here to keep us under lock, ya think people would've noticed sooner outside.
no subject
I know I'm not the only one working to free you, but they likely grew complacent. They weren't exactly that secretive about their operations.
[He then nods down the hall and tosses Zidane some keys. Guess what else he lifted while the guards were distracted.]
Let's hurry up before they lock things down and make it difficult for us to leave.
no subject
[Catching the keys, Zidane grins. See? Cleaning pockets can be a good thing!]
Got it. Be right back~
[Time to just unlock everything.]
no subject
While Zidane takes one side, Eustace works on the other, freeing everyone they come across. The din of the mob grows and he could hear other sounds in the distance. It's likely those who had escaped managed to subdue other guards and get keys.
Eventually he senses some heat and in the very last cell they find the Fogueria. Of course it's the last one—]
This must be the one.
no subject
[When he joins Eustace at the last door, Moguo nods.]
Yeah, but something tells me he's gonna be a little more fired up than his bro.
no subject
[Just from the loud hissing and growls as the Fogueria is already backed up against the wall, its fiery hackles raised as it bares its fangs at them.]
...You'll probably have better luck trying to calm it down.
[Not only will Zidane be considered as a fellow prisoner, but the kid's just friendlier, okay.]
no subject
[No, it won't be. That sarcasm because one of them is about to have fur and/or hair singed. And then Zidane's head snaps to Eustace.]
But don't you have the magic to help you with this?!?
no subject
[Looks more "fae" than "animal"...]
no subject
[But he sighs.]
Fine, fine... let's give this a try.
