Do you have any tips on how to use animal magic...effectively?

[ Or, alternatively, how to use it with minimum mishaps. At this point, Akira will take anything and lower his standards as long as he can ensure he won't have to sneak back into his inn room completely naked because his transformation made his clothes disappear.

[With that, Ken just kept on raising an eyebrow at him. He didn't know what Akira meant by his words as there were plenty of ways to use animal magic effectively.]

Such as...?

[Because he could do into detail about how terrible it was when there were animals always attacking him! Or how he couldn't always turn into the animal he wanted! Or how his clothes can disappear sometimes too.]

Let's say that I'm spending a lot of money on clothes now. Is there a way around that?

[ With great power, comes great clothes bill. ]

And, well. Awkward transformations. Like you're a half cat, half dog.

[ And a full abomination at that. ]

[At that moment, Ken opened his mouth as if he should say something but instead?]

To be honest, I'm not too sure because I haven't transformed into an animal that often? I always just place an extra pair of clothes in some part of the city hoping no one would find it.

[That and after transforming into a lion only to come back naked? He really needs to be prepared!]

But I suppose when it comes to transforming into an animal, it's more about focusing your energy and really believing you're a cat or a dog. ...Or at least that's what people tell me I should do.

[ Ken leaving backpacks with clothes like he's spider-man, bless. ]

Wait...so I could have passed a spot where you left your clothes on.

[ Amazing. Please give Akira a moment to process that. ]

And it worked for you? [ With a sheepish smile, he pokes his own cheek. ] I've been told to be very cat-like, but...well, one time I couldn't change back, but transforming wasn't any easier or anything. Maybe I should start with something simpler?

[ Like talking to animals. ]

[Ken didn't look at Akira for a moment before his eyes gazed to the side. As there was a small frown, it was clear that he was embarrassed. He didn't want to admit it but...]

[He said before giving a small mumble.] But I'd say maybe change into an animal that you know that you can transform into often? That way you do, you'll be able to control when you turn back into a human?

[Because Ken had to admit, he really had no idea what he was talking about as he lacked experience in this!]

[ Time to exclusively transform into felines until he gets it right. ]

How does Koromaru feel about cats anyway?

[ Trying to use animal magic right here and right now sounds like a bad idea which is probably why Akira's considering it. ]

[Meanwhile Ken looked at Koromaru before he gave a loud bark.]

He doesn't mind them although, he wished that they would be willing to talk to him more. [That and based on the animals he had seen, most of them were afraid of the poor dog!]

...Why do you ask?

[He said before raising an eyebrow. What are you planning on doing??]

That's very unfurtunate.

[ Nobody told him that cat puns aren't a requirement to get better at transforming into one. Well, he's already made a pair of cat ears to appear on top of his head. In public, gasps...scandalous. ]

I'm not the real thing but I could try talking to him...maybe?

[And here Akira will get one very long stare. He shouldn't be surprised by his response and yet...!]

I don't think he would mind. I think that would be purrfect.

[If Akira was going to give him a pun, he might as well do one back! At the same time, Koromaru gave out a bark. If Akira wanted to talk to him, he might as well do it now! He was all ears!]

Ken...is that pun magic?

[ He's impressed and pleased that he got a pun as an answer. A moment later, Akira squats down and focuses on Koromaru for the time being. ]

[ He accidentally barks after asking the question. Animal magic is no joke. ]

[All the while he said in a very deadpan voice. At the same time, Ken raised an eyebrow before looking back at his dog. In response, Koromaru gave an odd glance before looking back at partner.]

[ Switching between animal and human language is a bit tricky, but it seems like a good way to practice. ]

Maybe try thinking that you should speak in human. Although, I think talking in woof like this is pretty cute.
