(He has been very mindful of using fire magic even being careful of where he flings fireballs at, although with his current luck, he’s not having a great time managing it properly.
To say that Harry is becoming into Avalon’s resident unassuming trouble magnet is the biggest understatement of the century, especially when he tries to downplay the small accidental fire he just created on a brick wall moments ago.)
I will definitely need all the help I can get.

[ In case that happens, he's ready...but it's also going to get smelly. ]
If it's any consolation, I used to make fireballs in my sleep. Had to buy new sheets twice a week. It's a miracle that I didn't burn the inn down...fire magic really is tricky.

Oh wow, you had to buy new sheets because of it? I’m really sorry that you had to deal with that, Akira: I am also amazed that I haven’t accidentally set the inn don fire as well. Yeah, I did learn that the hard way when I set a tree branch on fire upon picking up elemental magic.
(Rose immediately teleports herself onto his right shoulder while Hedwig flies next to him, nuzzling him on the cheek to reassure him that things will get better for him and fire magic in the long run.)

[ It feels like it would be easier if they were given just a single one to master—still, he's used them all in various situations (some with less fortunate outcomes), so maybe he should just practice some more. ]
How about we practice together regularly from now on? I wonder if the area just outside of the city gates would be okay.
[ There are always training grounds, but that area can get crowded from time to time. ]
no subject
(That's so far the only suggestion he could come up with, but it could be a good option just to be safe. Besides, there are times when he comes into a very crowded training grounds filled with people and he did have to wait a bit for some time before he can practice kinetic and elemental magic alike.)

[ Bothering faeries sounds like a terrible idea, after all. ]
I never expected that we'd get another magic. I feel like I'm still not quite good with the first one I got. Like I'm spreading myself too thin.

Same here: I sometimes feel that I might be tiring myself out with juggling magics compared to how I do magic back home; we don’t have this wide range of magic back in my world.
(That is a good point Akira brought up: back home, wizards and witches have specializations depending their strengths, weaknesses and what subjects they excel in. Meanwhile, Avalon magic can get randomized on a lot of people as he has discovered in the magic discipline fair months ago.)
I can relate to that too, there are times when I feel that there are areas in my first magic that I really need to work on. I haven’t tried flight and speed manipulation just yet.
no subject
[ Only a little, though. He'd rather it be easier for everyone, especially if they're going to lean on their powers to get back home. ]
How does the whole wizard thing work in your world? You have a school, right? What's next?
[ He's curious about the kinds of magic back in Harry's home, but at the same time, Akira would rather not overwhelm him with questions. ]
no subject
(To be fair on Harry’s part, he had struggles with some of the subjects in Hogwarts, especially with Potions when Snape was being harsh on him most of the time and trying to get through History of Magic without getting bored from Binns’ slowness.)
Back home, we can get magic through various means: sometimes through bloodlines and sometimes bloodlines don’t even matter as some witches and wizards can come from normal families, but regardless of how we get our magic from, it can be uncontrollable at times, especially when we are kids.
That’s where magic schools come into play: they teach us how to manage our powers and magic. Mine was at the Scottish Highlands for example and it’s among the best wizarding schools in my world. I will admit that most of our magic tends to rely on incantations and wands a lot.

[ He doubts that it would help him get better at using his magic powers, but it might be fun to try it nonetheless. ]
I feel like a kid when I have to transform into an animal, honestly. Any funny stories from your childhood?
[ He has a few stories up his sleeve, especially those connected with learning fire magic. ]
no subject
(He did attempted to use them in the first couple of weeks but then it didn’t work as intended, so he didn’t bother to use them until everything has been restored.
When Akira asked him for any stories he had from childhood, it kinda scared him a bit since he didn’t want to give anyone here trauma from how his aunt and uncle treated him over the years but he does have a good funny story he has in mind.)
Well, when I was 11, I accidentally made a glass pane of a snake enclosure vanish and my cousin fell into the water in there while he was trying to mess with a snake. And said snake decided to get out of the zoo he was in.
no subject
[ He'd get ten wands if it had any effect, alas. Hitting the books and practicing remain the most reliable ways of learning, even in a magical world such as this one.
If only Akira knew how terrible Harry's childhood was... ]
That's intense. The snake didn't get back at him, I hope.
[ This is what you get for messing with snakes. ]
no subject
Don’t worry, the snake didn’t harm him at all. He just missed his original home in Brazil so much and had wanted to get back to the country from the zoo, that’s all.
no subject
[ He feels bad for the snake, though. ]
So you kind of had something similar to animal magic back home?
[ Since he could understand the snake... ]
no subject
Being an Animagus allows you to turn into animals, I have known of some people who can do that. Meanwhile, there is actually an ability to talk to snakes and that is very uncommon in my world. I once had it due to some weird incident in my life before, which explains how I was able to understand the snake in the zoo, but not anymore.
no subject
[ He's been doing that for a while, hasn't he? ]
Your world sounds really interesting. It's fun to learn about other worlds...after getting used to the idea that there are more of them around. In comparison, mine is pretty boring.
no subject
(Harry is starting to notice a trend of withholding most of his personal life out of concern for his Avalon friends and being more open to discuss magic in Avalon the longer he stays in the world, how weird.
Surely, this would have gotten him in trouble with the International Statute of Secrecy, but since Avalon has a lot of magic ongoing with modern day stuff mixed in, there is no point in hiding that from others for long.)
Same here, I never went outside of the UK before coming to this place and I didn’t expect to learn about other worlds upon arrival as well. So what is your world like, if I’m crazy enough to ask?
no subject
[ Especially, if it was supposed to be the first kiss. ]
We don't have magic, unfortunately. It's pretty normal, actually...but there's this group called the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. They're stealing the hearts of people who are known for their wrongdoings. That's as close to magic as you can get in my world, I think. Unless there's something I don't know.
no subject
Hm, so the Phantom Thieves are the only ones with some sort of magic in your world? That is really intriguing, never heard of them before.
no subject
[ He might be joking about it a little, but all things considered, having one's life force and happiness sucked away sounds terrifying. ]
I think they were popular outside Japan for a while, but I'm not sure for how long and how far did they fame spread. Either way, their skills were different from the magics we got here...I think.
[ Akira almost forgot to add that "I think". ]
no subject
Do they casts spells to change their targets’ hearts or maybe it was something different?
