[Tsuna is freaking out.

That's a natural state of being for him on a good day, but at this moment it seems a little more pronounced. It might have something to do with the burning building in front of him. The building's not fully on fire but fire has definitely started licking up the siding and there's a good deal of smoke.

If you had to ask whether or not the building's on fire, it very much is.

And Tsuna is panicking because his hands are also on fire, though the warm, enchanted glow of magic flames rather than anything burning. He'd just wanted some light while he was walking home. He didn't mean to touch the building. Certainly didn't mean to have it go up so fast.

But now it is and he's kind of hyperventilating so switching on his water is a little tough right now. Would it even be enough?]

HELP!!

[He finally manages to get out. He doesn't know if anyone's in the building or what. Someone might need to snap him out of this. Or snap a picture.]

[B - Twilight Thoughts; Network/Action]

[Tsuna doesn't go straight home after his part time job.

He meanders for a bit, not to anywhere in particular but he's not quite ready to go home yet. He's got thoughts that he needs to sort out. A lot more than usual, if he's being honest.

Because he's never been the kind of kid to let things go easily. There might have been a time when he used to, but then, that was back when his world was very small and he could just get by. Now his world is bigger, with friends, with more responsibility, with the fact that even though it was thrust on him and he is reluctant to take up the mantle, he is a leader.

It's hard to be a leader when it feels like his world keeps getting a lot bigger every day. And affecting his friends in more ways than he, at 15 years old, can really conceive.

He finds a quiet place in a park, flopping down on the ground and looking up at the darkening sky.]

I don't know what to do...

[He mutters, before digging out his phone. There has to be something.]

Why can't the universe just give him a break?

He was having a nice time! It was fun, if a little weird, to be picking cookies from trees like apples. And he was going to bring home a bunch to, because why not?

But of course, this is Tsunayoshi Sawada, the universe's chew toy, and he'd bumped a wasps nest. He'd taken off at a sprint, not wanting to get stung or to disturb anyone else. Of course, he didn't really try to figure out where he was running to and by the time he thinks he's outrun the wasps he is lost.

It's quiet and lush and green and somehow unnerving, and so Tsuna tentively starts to retrace what he hopes are his steps before some bagworms drop down in front of him. Tsuna stumbles back and screams! which sets off several moths who fly quickly past him.]

Yes. It was 1582, by the Western calendar, before I arrived here. My left hand Akechi Mitsuhide is here too. I survived Honno-Ji, and Mitsuhide didn't set it, ftr. [Yes, just sliding in modern texting slang with all the rest. That's Nobunaga for you.]

I enjoy hearing about the world after our dream was achieved.

No, it's not so literal as that.

I suppose this just proves I destroyed the faith beyond repair, but there were several Buddhist sects in our time who believed in it deeply. One of them raised Uesagi Kenshin as if he was Bishamonten: the reincarnation of the Buddha, God of war.

Takeda Shingen was also very religious and devout, and the monks often allied with him.

They shaved their heads to avoid having worldly ties to even something as innocuous as hair. They believed enjoying worldly things like candy, clothes, art, luxuries, etc. would hold someone back from ascending all the way to Nirvana like Buddha.

They believed when Buddha was ascending all the levels, the lower demons and demon kings couldn't even go near his presence. When he reached the sixth level, the Demon King of all, the ultimate demon king, encouraged Buddha to ascend as quickly as possible. This Demon King was the worst of all of them, and normally tried to corrupt all other mortals into enjoying candy, worldly pleasures, and all the things that stopped them from ascending. Since he couldn't do that with Buddha, he just wanted him gone from the realm he controlled as soon as possible.

Saying I'm the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven is a warning or utterly arrogant declaration that I'm going to corrupt everyone around me to be as wicked as me, and still try to be even more extreme like that myself.

It's a lot funnier in my time than here. Not that the literal meaning isn't funny, it just gets annoying when people try to be respectful. I was making a whole mockery of the religion, and that doesn't work with it at all.

If it's any consolation, when I say "I don't believe in demons, heaven, or hell," isn't that exactly what the Demon King of 6th Heaven would tell people to corrupt them into joining in his wickedness?

I was going to say no and that was I was relieved.
But I'd rather not be corrupted or join any wickedness.

Really? My teachers always did the opposite. They were hell-bent on backwards ancient traditions and never embracing the new.

They were trying to stop me from a path of wickedness, I suppose.

I'd say that sounds better, but some of the traditions he's been trying to teach me are just as weird as the new stuff.

They didn't want to trade with Europe, allow for candy, have abilities mean more than birth status, and stop sacrifices to fake gods and demons.

Banning candy seems pretty extreme.

Uh...I don't really like how events sort of turn into competitions with really weird rules. A lot of it just gets really chaotic. It's sort of become a tradition for me to just get involved with things, which I also don't like.

It's nice to have people to do them with though...I guess.
