Month of May it's a violent thing
🧙 WHO: Din and whoever he encounters along the way
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests!
đź•’ WHEN: Throughout May
🗺️ WHERE: Camelot and the surrounding area
⚠️ WARNINGS: added as needed
A - No Buccaing Out
[Truthfully, Din doesn't know how useful he's going to be.
His armour weighs him down and his go to weapons probably aren't the best underwater. Still, he has a spear and a vibroknife and that's probably going to work best. And that's to say nothing of his swimming skills, which aren't great. The last time he really dealt with water was on Trask, and that was less of his own volition and more a reaction.
Not that any of this trepidation shows on his face, the helmet allowing him to remain impassive.]
They didn't happen to say how deep it got, did they?
B - Cookie Collecting
[Din, admittedly, doesn't really have a strong opinion one way or another what they decide to do. Whatever route gets him home the fastest is where he stands. But that doesn't mean he can't be helpful. It's not his usual kind of task but, well, he's tall and that's largely why he's been recruited. Someone has to get the higher branches.
He's taking care of a few of the trees further back in the orchard, still slightly boggling at how cookies can grow on them and trying to clamp down on the fact that were Grogu here, he would be having a field day. Instead, he's tentatively trying his magic, using the kinetic forces to shake the trees. It seems to be going well?
At least until the wasp nest drops.]
C - Wildcard

A
Seems we'll find out. Immediately.
[ He says this with a grin and a wink before starting to wade into the pond. Several steps in, he hesitates. He'd assumed anyone clad in armor, wading into waters of unknown depths, would have a solid plan for getting back out of said depths.
...
He'd better check. He looks back. ]
Uh... how are you planning to get back above water?
no subject
And if all else fails, hopefully my jetpack doesn't get too waterlogged.
[It's a risk he's willing to take. Maintenance is going to be needed regardless afterwards. And he does have his magic, even if he doesn't trust it.]
What about you?
no subject
He himself intends to use kinetic magic to get around in the water. He's been here for some time, and so he's quite confident with his skills. He's certain he could pull both of them out of the water, but if he's incapacitated and one or both of the man's hopefullys don't pan out, they'll both drown.
Gu Yun affects a devil-may-care attitude most of the time, but in truth he's quite cautious and always tries to plan for contingencies. ]
With this.
[ He points to the lakeshore. A plant suddenly sprouts from the dirt, quickly growing into a thick, snaking vine with slimy, misshapen leaves. The thing slithers into the water, following after him like some kind of eldritch pet. ]
I'll just pull myself out if it's difficult to swim.
no subject
Involuntarily, he takes a step back at the moving vine, more out of surprise than anything. As much as he tries to prepare himself in this world, there's always something new.]
Seems like it will be useful. You can make it retract?
no subject
Uh... [ He clears his throat. ] Even if I can't, it should still work as a lifeline.
[ With that, he sets about once more wading into the lake; shallow at the edges, the bottom rapidly drops off. He sinks. Here is the test, he thinks to himself as the water closes over his head. His overwhelming instinct it to hold his breath; taking water into his lungs requires a certain leap of faith.
...
He's pleasantly surprised to find that this breathing potion actually works. And, as far as he can tell, it isn't interfering with the healing potion he took earlier, either. ]
no subject
Shoving aside what's preferable, watery depths or the vacuum of space, Din follows. It's weird, not having to rely on a respirator or anything, but it's definitely odd to allow some water into his helmet and not have to worry about it.
He grabs his spear, holding it at the ready, his guard up. He doesn't know how far they have to go, but he's ready for anything.]
Everything okay on your end?
no subject
I'll set a timer.
[ ...since the effect only lasts for an hour. Gu Yun reaches for his communication device which is, hopefully, waterproof (the fact that it might not be hasn't really occurred to him; he has limited experience with electronics) and keys in the time.
The vine continues to follow them, and even starts to bloom—though the flowers are ugly and misshapen. A school of feathery-finned fish sweep by, their scales reflecting every color of the rainbow. A few of them linger to nibble curiously on the newcomers. ]
no subject
He waves his arm, hoping to scare away some of the fish. Having more than just the target down here is going to make things more difficult.
There's a nod of acknowledgement before he abruptly turns his head, thinking he sees something.]
no subject
Gu Yun catches the man's gesture and moves closer, using his kinetic magic to ease his way through the water. ]

I don't think they did, no.
[He glances up and down at the Mandalorian.]
You're not going to swim in that getup, are you?
[He himself is dressed much lighter, wearing a black t-shirt and colorful swim trunks.]
no subject
I'll be fine.
[It's not much of an option to take it off, and not knowing what to expect under the water, he'd rather be safe than sorry. And he's trained for this sort of thing. Sort of.]
I won't lag behind either.
no subject
You can swim and sneak in that armor? You must know one Oblivion of an armorer.
[He steps into the water, until it comes up to his knees, getting used to how cold it is. It's not like he hasn't had to dive underwater before.]
Hopefully it's better lit down there than the library, hm?
no subject
But he nods, even if he's not familiar with the expression.]
She is. And beskar needs to be versatile.
And we can only hope. Should be though, with the sun up.
[And not, he has a light at least.]
no subject
[It's strapped to his calf. He's also not hedging his bets on there being anything dead down there that he can utilize with Death Magic.]
Last one down smells like wet mammoth.
[With that, he submerges himself under the water.]
no subject
With more a sense of resignation than purpose, he follows Finn, wading into the water with a determined pace. This is just one of those jobs that has to get done.
At least the potion seems to be working, though he stands for a moment, just getting used to the sensation.]
no subject
It isn't long before he starts swimming down deeper. He's never fought anything underwater before, or at least nothing larger than a slaughterfish. So this is going to be a new challenge for him. He sees lights up ahead, most likely the village. A whole underwater village. Will wonders ever cease? If only he had more than just an hour down here, so he could properly explore.]
no subject
I think they said it was just north of the village. That's where the monsters were spotted.

There you are!
[ He hurried over to him, a smile on his face. ]
Are you going in?
no subject
Still, he acknowledges Luke with a nod.]
You were looking for me?
[Another nod, he figures it should be obvious.]
There's a job to kill some monsters that have been bothering a village.
no subject
I was; I wanted to do this job too, but I felt it was best to go with you.
no subject
But he's not saying no to help, especially with what they're facing.]
Can you fight underwater?
no subject
[ A faint smile came to his face. ]
Besides, between your armor and my lightsaber, I'm pretty sure we stand the best chance of getting through this.
no subject
Shouldn't be too hard, provided all the magic works.
[He moves to head into the water, motioning for Luke to follow.]
no subject
Wait, did you already get the potion to breathe underwater?
no subject
[He holds up the small vial, which he'd been planning to take just before submerging himself.]
There was a basket of them near a dock that was falling apart.
