Rain rain go away
🧙 WHO: Din and you
⚔️️ WHAT: Dealing with a flooded Inn
🕒 WHEN: Backdated to Sunday and throughout the week
🗺️ WHERE: The Inn
⚠️ WARNINGS: n/; subject to change
A - Action
[He'd noticed the problem fairly quickly after making his way down from his room. He'd been planning to get to work but standing water in the lobby quickly changed that decision. This would be the natural result of all the rain, he supposed. While flooding wasn't something he'd dealt with, he had prepared for it, the results of living in a sewer on a volcanic planet. But he could never recall Nevarro getting that bad (though he could have been off-world if it did. No one really complained to him).
Regardless, the Inn is where he's staying right now and he can't really leave it in the lurch, so he goes to help. It's a long day of salvaging, and trying to get rid of the water. For the moment, he's leaning on the front desk, taking a short break.]
I think there's a few rooms left to salvage.

The main floor of the inn has flooded. If you have a room there, you might want to move to higher ground.

What sort of combat?
But it's probably better than just showing up in someone's room.
no subject
[ And other stuff. ]
Drama usually means a better chance I end up with my very own room. But I guess I'll take you up on it. You don't seem irritating enough that I'll have to find a way to drive you out, anyway.
no subject
[He usually avoids them, but every system usually has something.]
Ideally, it's for the short term. But we can make it work.
no subject
[ She doesn't, but she's never going to admit that. Especially not to a new acquaintance. ]
What kind of place are you from?
no subject
No place in particular. Travelled around a lot.
no subject
Me too, but you've got to at least have like, a general kingdom, right?
[ Guess who doesn't have space travel ]
no subject
[Closest thing to a home at the moment, even if the Covert isn't there.]
no subject
[ Emerald can't really feel homesick because she doesn't have anything that could really be called a home, and the one person who made it feel like she did... It's complicated. She'd rather talk about his home than hers, though. ]
no subject
Kinda like most planets on the Outer Rim.
[He's fond of it in his own way.]
no subject
[ She knows what a planet is, but the idea that he could get to another one is foreign to her. She's still not even sure how she got to this one, but she's figuring it's more of a magical land than a separate planet. ]
no subject
[It certainly doesn't seem to be something all that common here. Truthfully, for Din it's been kind of weird to spend so much time in one spot.]
no subject
no subject
[He shrugs.]
It's common, where I'm from. Why I asked.
no subject
[ History is a lie or whatever]
no subject
I can imagine. It's hard to keep track sometimes.
no subject
[ She's got some big gaps. If she ever finds out about them she'll probably get even more annoyed about it. They're probably like, at the third floor now though so Emerald waits for him to open whichever door is his so she can put her stuff down.. probably in the bath so it can dry off before she puts it anywhere else. Shes' not planning on ruining his room anyway. ]
no subject
So the truth is more complicated than the conspiracy? And I thought I had to deal with weird stuff.
no subject
How many do you have in here?
[ It doesn't bother her-- hell, she's got two revolvers-kusarigama-sickles strapped to her. But she's gotta have some idea of how much danger is in the room to feel safe. ]
no subject
And I wouldn't recommend touching them.
[More the rifle than the blaster. But still.]
no subject
[ Is she staying with a loose cannon... ]
no subject
[He still has some disintegrator rounds and there's a stunning feature. They're dangerous.]
no subject
[ Not because it would disintegrate anything, but it does transform from a gun into a sickle and chains and if you're not expecting it, you could definitely cut your hand even without touching the trigger. ]
no subject
[Certainly a transforming gun would probably be a new one on him. Most of the weapons he's familiar with are pretty standard.]
Though now might not be the best time to show off.
no subject
[ They can't go to space, but they've got 3-in-1 weapons and can transfer souls to other people/robot warriors. You work with what you've got. ]
Yeah. Definitely don't need to destroy your apartment too. Where am I sleeping?
[ She doesn't want to assume the couch is hers.]
no subject
[He's hospitable and can basically sleep wherever.]
Weird with weapons, how?
