April Catch-All [OPEN]
🧙 WHO: Tokoyami and YOU!
⚔️️ WHAT: New arrival for the month, getting settled, CameCon shenanigans
🕒 WHEN: All month
🗺️ WHERE: Various
⚠️ WARNINGS: N/A, will adjust as needed!
Soaking In Your Arrival
[Arriving in a splash of water wasn't the most shocking thing. Nor was being spoken to by the Lady of the Lake, or even being assisted to shore by strange-looking manatees. As a hero, one has to be prepared for all sorts of strange, unusual situations. No, the most shocking thing for Tokoyami came after he landed on shore, and wrung out his clothes of water.]
What a strange place... I suppose we will have to gather information, won't we Dark Shadow?
[Normally he would expect a witty reply, or a nod, or a "uh huh!", or something from his Quirk. But instead he's met with absolute silence.]
Dark Shadow..?
[Tokoyami looks around for his wayward shadow, but when he finds no trace of it? That's when the shock sets in. Why couldn't he feel his Quirk? Where was Dark Shadow?!]
[Meanwhile, further down the beach, some other newcomers might notice a dark cloak, most likely washed ashore ahead of its owner. The cloak belongs to Tokoyami, and peeking out from under it is a strange, shadowy creature who strangely enough looks close to tears.]
Fumikageeeee!! Where are yooou??
Caravans to Camelot
[Once Tokoyami finds his hero costume (and has a somewhat tearful reunion with Dark Shadow), he's ready to go to the city like everyone else. That involves a caravan ride, strangely enough, but so many strange things have already happened that Tokoyami isn't sure if he should question them or not. He's just going to go along for now and try to piece together this mystery.]
[At least, that's what he's trying to do. He's trying to look over his new smartphone and gather information that way, but his attention keeps being drawn to the two beings he is with. One is Dark Shadow; a lot smaller than normal, and no longer connected to him, but still with him physically. The other is a strange, spectral raven that had found him not long after his arrival and kept following him. Apparently Dark Shadow didn't like this, and was scowling at the bird spirit. Said bird spirit cawed indignantly, which made Dark Shadow's "hackles" rise. The tension between the two was palpable, to say the least.]
[Tokoyami can only sigh, bringing a hand up to pinch the bridge of his "nose".]
Both of you, please don't get into a fight...
Around Camelot
[For the first few days, Tokoyami spends much of his time just trying to get used to this new city he's found himself in. Sometimes Dark Shadow accompanies him, and sometimes not; that in itself is a strange concept for him to accept. He can be found running all kinds of errands, exploring the city, or finding a quiet spot to practice his new magic, whether it be manipulating small shadows or trying to communicate with the local wildlife. It's not the same as having a Quirk, but at least he has something he can draw on for example.]
[However, it's also possible he might end up getting lost, the poor bird-headed boy looking quite confused at his unfamiliar surroundings. He knows he looks a little strange, so he will be as polite as possible as he approaches someone to ask for directions.]
Pardon me, but is it possible to ask for some assistance? I seem to have been turned around and I'm not sure which street I am on anymore.
CameCon
[A convention seems strange in a place full of magic like this, but it doesn't take long for Tokoyami to be intrigued by the spectacle of it all. He always did enjoy conventions, even back home, though here it looks like there is a lot more emphasis on fantasy and magic than the superhero-themed ones back home. Still, it draws Tokoyami's attention, and he could be found wandering around the convention halls.]
[It's possible to find him in one of the vendor halls doing a little shopping. With so many things on display, he can't help but eye all the wares available. He can be found lingering around the stalls that sell more gothic and macabre items, like swords and gemstone skulls. He will definitely linger by anything with a "dark" theme to it, studying the details with rapt attention.]
Such exquisite craftmanship... truly an excellent work of dark art..!
[Or, perhaps you spot him at the LARPing station. It's open to the public to try out, so why not have a little fun? Whether you're an ally or opponent in the ring, you might see Tokoyami dressed up in some shadowy-looking armour; the kind that makes him look like a Black Knight from an anime or something. He holds himself with the same amount of confidence as well, his cape billowing as he points a plastic sword forward.]
Do you think you have what it takes to combat a disciple of darkness? Then step forward and challenge me in my domain!
[Is he acting? Is he being serious? Who can say. But he is having fun.]
Wildcard
[Got an idea you'd like to try out? Feel free to make your own starter, or message me via PM or on plurk at
pocketnoivern to plan something out!]

But this elusive eatery cannot evade us forever! It's a simple matter of navigating these streets. Starting from here, at... [He glances around in search of a street sign, but doesn't notice one.] ...the... uh... the street that we're currently on!
That's just one more thng that's eluded our keen senses for the moment!
no subject
I believe there is one over here..?
no subject
Well done, young Tsukuyomi! You... have passed the first test! Now, that sign will be our first step towards navigating these mean streets. From here, we just have to get to... uh, the other street!
no subject
Right. I will follow your lead, Darkwing Duck.
no subject
Very well. And I... shall lead you! [He pauses as he glances around.]
Let's go through that alleyway. As conscientious crusaders, one should move through the cover of shadows whenever possible...!
no subject
[Tokoyami nods, and when Darkwing Duck starts heading to the alleys the young hero will follow after him.]
Interesting... so your approach relies more on stealth and ambush, then?
Sorry, this notif got eaten!
You could say that! As Darkwing Duck, I work in the darkness, to defeat the darkness! To strike fear into the hearts of cowardly criminals...!
That's ok!
I see... strike from the shadows in the name of the light... A worthy approach for denizens of darkness.
[A little dramatic, but that's. Kind of his thing.]
no subject
Yes, you understand perfectly, my perceptive pupil! You're well on your way to being quite heroic, if I do say so myself! [With that, he leads him onwards towards the end of the alley! Although he's honestly not even sure if they're any closer to the restaurant or not.]
no subject
[Tokoyami tries to maintain his composure, but he does preen a bit at that. It's always nice to have a pro complimenting his efforts!]
no subject
Now, I think we have to cut through this alley next... [With that, he leads him down another alley! While zig-zagging from one side of the alley to the other and occasionally doing rolls on the ground in the process, largely for the sake of showing off!]
