[Open] December Catch-All

(1)Trial and Icy Errors

[ Spotting the message from Merlin, Saber immediately sends a few more messages his way. Mostly along the lines of a demand for him to meet her and explain himself, or just for him to come down so she can give him a good smack (so basically a threat but whatever).

When she is inevitably not given an answer, she decides to take full advantage of this snow...

And then she gets beaned in the back of the head by a snowball, and suddenly "practice" becomes "a battle". ]

Who dares!?

[ Was it you who just beaned her with a snowball? Well then, expect her to immediately retaliate.

If you weren't someone who just instigated the King's competitive side, then you're probably a victim of it, as she's now running around with an all-too-competitive look on her face as she uses wind magic to send a volley of snowballs your way. ]

(2)Fogueria Quest (Combat Quest)

[ After much time, Saber's managed to locate where the Fogueria may be found. As a user of Elemental Magic, she's been told that she would be a good matchup against the fiery beast. While she's mostly practiced with wind, she may as well learn to use water now.

As she marches into the Land of Rot, however, she would definitely appreciate some help. While she may be the King of Knights, this land has most definitely robbed her of the vast majority of her abilities. She's unsure how powerful this beast is, so having anyone to help back her up in slaying this beast will be appreciated.

Perhaps she found you before marching in the direction of the Land of Rot, and you accepted? Either that or she saw you, knew you would be helpful, and dragged you along with her to fight a giant fire lion.

In any case, you are with Saber, and you're both in the territory of the Fogueria now. ]

(3)Foraged and Found (Closed to Rin)

[ Saber's main priority is obtaining knighthood. Even if she is not a King in this land, she is still a Knight... however right now, she is only claiming to be a Knight.

And that simply won't stand, will it?

However, even though this is the case, it seems she's been dragged along to something else entirely. ]

Rin... I understand that having a partner for a quest is certainly important... but surely there are others who could help you better than I?

[ Rin is technically no longer Saber's Master, but still she felt obligated to follow Rin. However, obligation isn't the reason Saber's here. Saber is here, standing in front of an enchanted sleigh, because Rin was oddly insistent about it and dragged Saber here before she could protest.

It hasn't crossed her mind once that this could be anything more than a Quest. Still, here she is, dressed for winter (and not in her armor), about to ride a Sleigh. ]

Hm... perhaps. I knew what was fated to happen to me. However, I had a choice. One choice would have certainly led me to a more peaceful life. However, I chose this path, even knowing what lay ahead.

[ A beat. ]

I'm currently looking for an answer. Whether my path was wrong or not.

[honorkept]

That took quite a bit of determination to do so.

[ And he feels a small bit of kinship with her concern about whether her path was right or wrong. ]

Hopefully, at the end of all of this, you will find the answer to your question.

Indeed. Now then, we should be nearing our target...

[ She grips her sword a bit. ]

You seem like a warrior of some renown. Before we find this beast, what are you currently capable of in this world?

only knew saber for a day but if anything happened to her etc etc

[ Credo feels a clouded expression crosses over his face. It is too much to say that he feels that he is of no renown. The sword that he carries is one that is stained, and so he cannot look at her when she gives him such praise.

Instead, he goes quiet before focusing on her question instead. His hand grips tight the hilt of his sword, like it helps to steady his mind and thoughts. ]

A bit of light magic, actually. Creating barriers, mostly. My familiar's element is one of ice, so that should also be of use to us, as well.

[ He offers a brief glance to her, and decides that he will defend her with his life regardless. The decision came to him suddenly, but he thinks that it would be better if she continues on her path and see if it is a righteous one versus slaying a beast. ]

And you?

[ She holds up her own sword, a variety of elements suddenly swirling around the blade. First wind, then fire, then water, and so on. ]

I am a user of elemental magic. If our opponent is a beast of fire, then I believe I will be able to damage it well. As for my familiar...

[ As she mentions her familiar, the small red dragon suddenly lands and perches on her head. ]

...he is a fire-breather, so his usefulness in this battle is... to be proven.

[ As if indignant about that last remark, it snorts and bats at the ahoge on her head, to which she pays no attention. ]
