[I. The Red Spring - Training Grounds]

[His world had magic so figuring it out wasn't difficult, but the application was different and limited. Or maybe he was out of practice? Quickly figuring out it had nothing to do with elemental or healing, it seemed physical again. Honestly, fine with him.]

[At the training grounds, he had one ability down already: speeding up. If he knew what else could be done with it, he would probably try it out, but instead, others might see him running the obstacle course, taking a break after completing it, and then repeating, steadily increasing his speed. However, he's still new, and it's evident he's exhausting himself at some point. His familiar - a moogle - tugged his tail to stop him with a 'kupo!', but he stood up, waved it off, and took to the course again.]

[Maybe intervene?]

[II. It Figures... Flood/Blackout]

[Only coming to the CameCon out of curiosity, he's only semi-surprised when the flood began? Like, it happened at the hot springs and spoiled that so why not spoil another event?]

[Helping people who wanted out of the water was all fine and dandy if ridiculous. The water wouldn't damage everything they bought that bad; living was more important than losing that apparent limited edition pillow. And then, of course the lights had to go out.]

... Alright, unless anyone's got a candle on them or the right magic, I'm gonna need some dry table cloth and a chair leg!

[He'd find it himself, but rattling tables and chairs with his magic might not help keep panic down.]

[III. Keep Your Vines to Yourself]

[Zidane's really in this forest due to the reports of missing people since he'd rather not be here. It reminded him plenty of another stint in a forest that he'd rather not repeat, and not without the medicine to counteract things going south.]

[Fortunately, the vines were friendly - unfortunately, too friendly.]

[Not that he doesn't manage to slink his way from plenty attempts to grab him, but he knew he lost some fur. Of course, he's lucky; other people that came into the woods? Maybe not so much and he's listening out for anyone who might find themselves in a predicament.]

[IV. Selfies with Selkies]

So... you wanna try talking to him, or should I go?

[Holding his basket in his tail, Zidane raised his arms behind his head and tilted his head. He's not human, but who between the two of them would be better? The Selkie looked like a cool enough guy, but Zidane's also not here to listen to another guy attempt to flirt should his companion be a woman.]

[The Cereus de Anima was kind of a pressing matter they should deal with sooner rather than later.]

[V. Wildcard]

[That's a good idea! Izuku isn't too pressed for it right now and he'd rather the vines stay put too.

As they explore they might find more overgrown foliage but luckily some darker crevasses with rocks, boulders and large plants.]

[He wonders if Izuku has a one-tracked mind. It's good and bad - good for large projects, but maybe not ideal for a possibly monster-infested forest like right now.]

[Either way, looks like there's some rocks and boulders, and some plants that aren't vines. Huuray!]

So, are they gonna be inside stone like this, or are we looking for a cavern?

[He's just really determined to get these crystals. And to learn more about every magic type! The crystals are for the gear he's making for his friends and if he makes something for Zidane down the road as well he'll need to make sure he gets enough.]

The ones I'm looking for are going to be ones trapped inside stone on the forest floor. Have you ever heard of geodes? It's like that.

[He's scanning his way as they walk. Checking out one boulder with one hand before shaking his head and moving on.]

[He still sees why Izuku got caught...]

Nope. I might've seen it before, but unless it's a gem, I don't know much about rocks.

[While he checks the stones, Zidane's keeping a lookout.]

That's alright, I think I know what I'm looking for.

[There is one boulder that Izuku uses his alchemy on. There is a flash of magic before it cracks open like a peanut. Inside are some glowing purple crystals and he smiles.]

Here...! Just like this!

[But... There is a vine coming down and creeping up behind Zidane...]

Oh?

[Zidane looks back and watches Izuku as he strikes the boulder. Haha, pay dirt!]

Nice! It looks like it could be amethyst!

[He moves around Izuku to have a closer look.]

That's right, it does! Wow, I can't believe it! Do you know a lot about precious stones?

[Meanwhile... that vine is getting closer and closer to Zidane's tail...]

I told you, I know about gems, but outside of that? Nada!

[Helps that certain powers back home came from gems. Meanwhile, his tail swings this way and that around the vine unknowingly.]

Right- Right...! I didn't think we'd get lucky this fa-

[But as he's talking the vine comes down and is trying so hard to grab onto that swishing tail that it catches Izuku's notice!]

Wha- Behind you!

Hm?

[Zidane looks back and sure enough, there's a vine trying to get his tail.]

Hey, that's not nice... [And borrowing Aerith's idea, he's going to stall the vine's movements. Meanwhile, his tail draws a dagger, cutting the nuisance while it's delayed.] Geez, the tail's off limits.

[Izuku blinks. The vine kind of shrivels up backwards and retreats. It's almost like they're alive and that's kind of creepy.]

They're really persistent, aren't they...

Yeah... Well, at least these ones don't have thorns!

[He laughs a bit, putting his dagger away.] Anyway, you wanna try for my crystals or just head back?

Yeah...!

[Izuku quickly goes back to the geode and starts to collect the pieces he's shattered the rock into. Putting the pieces into his bag.]

This should be good to last me for now. I can come back later like you said before for a few more. Let's head back.

Sounds good. I think the vines are getting impatient.

[He can't tell like back home, but any creature getting thwarting like that gradually becomes irritated.]

[Green magic would be good right now.]

[Packed and ready to head back. Izuku nods. He'll be glad to be out of the vines now too. Now that he has some precious stones!]

Alright. Thanks for helping me out.

No problem! Let's do this again, but y'know, when we're not going to be attacked by plants.

[Zidane's all ready to go himself and in a pretty chipper mood despite everything around them.]

That sounds great, Zidane-san! Hopefully next time we'll be safer! And your tail will be too.

[He smiles. Time to get the heck out of here!]
