π§ WHO: Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera/Gizmoduck and YOU
βοΈοΈ WHAT: Catch-all for the month
π WHEN: Throughout April
πΊοΈ WHERE: Various Locations
β οΈ WARNINGS: Spiders for the Quest Prompt. Will add more if anything else comes up
I. CameCon
A. Around the Convention (Fenton)
[ While Fenton had adapted fairly well to being in a completely different world of Arthurian legend with humans and learning magic, there was still something oddly fascinating about a gaming convention in the middle of Camelot. And ever curious, Fenton knew he had to attend and see for himself.
He hadn't been to many conventions back home before, but this seems pretty similar to what he's heard about from others (usually his mother when she was helping with security). He spends a good amount of time simply walking around, taking in the sites and exploring the different wares. Eventually he finds the gaming stage for NASTAR Racing Game, and plugs in his phone to give it a try. β]
Oh-hoh man! This is awesome!
[ He doesn't even mind that he doesn't rank too high in the races, he's just having fun throwing rocks at space pirates.
When it's time for him to take a break, he heads over to sit at the picnic area by the LARPing game, watching the players while nibbling on a muffin. ]
B. Convention Flooding (Gizmoduck)
[ Things quickly become chaotic when the rain breaks through and the convention center starts to flood. But Fenton is able to find someplace out of sight, and hopefully no one hears the cry of "BLATHERING BLATHERSKITE!" over all the panic going on.
Soon Gizmoduck is rushing through the hall, his extendo-arms lifting people up and out of the way of the water. ]
I have you, citizen! [ He knows it's only a temporary solution, though, especially since it's still raining and water is still pouring in. ] Just hang on tight! I think I can clear a path!
[ Or at least he would, but the lights suddenly going out throws him off a little. ]
...Seriously?
II. Quest: Vital Venoms (Gizmoduck)
[ While Fenton didn't exactly have a fear of spiders, he does have to admit that even this quest has him hesitating just a bit. But it seems pretty dangerous, so the more he does the quest hopefully the less other people will have to suffer through it. Plus he hopes that the armor is strong enough to endure the bite and he won't have to worry about the venom.
So he makes his way to the caves in the hills of Red Spring, keep an eye out for any of the spider webs. While he needs to find a spider, he wasn't really in a hurry for one to find him. ]
III. Training Grounds (Fenton)
[ While he does his best to practice both kinds of magic, Fenton does find that he has an easier time with the Technomancy than he does with the Elemental. Probably because of his experience with the Gizmosuit, and how the suit is connected to his mind feeling similar to the sensation of using the tech magic.
Still, he doesn't want to fall behind with his Elemental magic either, so he makes sure to concentrate on those a little more. He finds that electricity comes easiest - it's almost like building up a charge for a static shock, so he uses that feeling when trying to generate electricity. Plus it's just kind of fun.
But he also tries to practice with other elements as well. Those are...less controlled, as a stray clump of dirt or stream of water or ball of fire narrowly misses another person practicing. ]
S-Sorry!
IV. Wildcard (Fenton)
((OOC: Fenton can be seen around Camelot, working odd jobs or just wandering around and taking notes of various shops and locations. So feel free to run into him somewhere, or hit me up at
usamichan13 to plan something else!))

[ You don't mind Della being a VERY loud cheerleader as she waves the torch around, right??? ]
no subject
The spider recovers a bit, trying to take a bite at him, but luckily the armor does prevent the venom from getting to him.
When it tries to escape and moves towards Della, though, Fenton uses the extendo-arms to wrap around the spider to try to keep it still. ]
Della...! We need something to tie it up!
no subject
[ Oops. Maybe they could have thought this through a little better. ]
No, no, it's fine! I'll knock it out with the torch, it's clubbin' size!
[ So in she runs, ready to whallop the spider head with the torch, and SURELY NOTHING WILL GO WRONG - ]

[ He tries to keep a hold on the spider, but with his arms wrapped around it's legs he can't get a good grip on its chelicerae. With just enough wiggle room, the spider makes a lunge at Della, snapping at the closest part of her. ]

CHOMP ]
OW! Oh, you jerk, I hope I taste awful!
[ She smacks the spider's mouth away, trying to make it let go! But she doesn't feel any bones break, thank goodness! Just the skin and... oh. oh dear. ]
no subject
[ Finally getting a better grip on the spider, he wrestles it away and manages to toss it back a good distance, then quickly comes to Della's side. ]
Are you all right? Did it puncture you?
no subject
I think... We just accidentally went through with my first plan.
[ That's definitely looking like poison dribble on her feathers. ]
no subject
We need to leave. Immediately.
[ Luckily the suit hides how much he's ABSOLUTELY FREAKING OUT, though Della might catch a touch of it in his voice. Still, he does his best to keep some semblance of the professional superhero calm as he gathers her up, carrying her as he speeds out of the cave, outrunning the spider behind him.
Unfortunately the suit's jets are currently deactivated, but the suit still does enhance his speed, letting him move faster than he would if he tried to run on foot. Hopefully they can get back with enough time. ]
no subject
Hey, I already had no feeling in one leg, so now they match!
[ ... DELLA THIS IS NOT HELPING ]
no subject
You don't have to worry about that! Everything's going to be just fine!
[ He was definitely going to make sure of that. ]
no subject
[ DELLA ]
no subject
R-Right! Once we get you back to the healers, everything should be okay! You'll get that feeling back in your arm for sure.
[ Suuuuuuuper reassuring, Fenton. ]
no subject
Exactly! Just focus on the positives! Deep breaths, Fenton!
no subject
It feels like it takes so long though to go back the way that they came, even with him going as fast as the unicycle will take him. But he does finally make it back to town, and guns it towards the nearest healers. ]
no subject
Della has, at last, shut up. Because now she can't talk. She at least tries to keep her eyes cheerful in a desperate attempt to reassure Fenton! ]
no subject
Then it's just a matter of waiting as they remove the poison from her body. And because of the size of his armor, the healers ask him to wait outside, which is fine because it gives him more room to pace worryingly. ]
no subject
Heyyyy, big F! I mean, big G!
no subject
Uh...heyyyyyy, Della? How're you feeling?
no subject
[ She's gunna pass out real soon. ]
no subject
[ Except he actually had no idea where she lives. He can only assume the inn, but he doesn't actually...know what room she's in. ]
no subject
[ FWUMP. And she's out like a light... and a bit snuggly. ]
no subject
So he that's what he does, carrying her back to the hotel and up to his room where he sets her on his bed. Then, after tucking her in a bit, he deactivates the suit and puts it away.
Well...maybe he should make something for her to eat when she wakes up. ]
no subject
NOT THE MOON NOT THE MOON NOT THE MOON -
[ And then instantly calming down like nothing happened, even yawning peacefully. ]
Mmm... What time is it? Where am I?
no subject
Hey, are you all right? Were you having a bad dream?
no subject
[ A pause to consider... oh! ]
Ah, that! Nah, it's just how I've woken up every morning since I returned to earth.
[ Clearly no biggie and completely normal. ]
