π§ WHO: Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera/Gizmoduck and YOU
βοΈοΈ WHAT: Catch-all for the month
π WHEN: Throughout April
πΊοΈ WHERE: Various Locations
β οΈ WARNINGS: Spiders for the Quest Prompt. Will add more if anything else comes up
I. CameCon
A. Around the Convention (Fenton)
[ While Fenton had adapted fairly well to being in a completely different world of Arthurian legend with humans and learning magic, there was still something oddly fascinating about a gaming convention in the middle of Camelot. And ever curious, Fenton knew he had to attend and see for himself.
He hadn't been to many conventions back home before, but this seems pretty similar to what he's heard about from others (usually his mother when she was helping with security). He spends a good amount of time simply walking around, taking in the sites and exploring the different wares. Eventually he finds the gaming stage for NASTAR Racing Game, and plugs in his phone to give it a try. β]
Oh-hoh man! This is awesome!
[ He doesn't even mind that he doesn't rank too high in the races, he's just having fun throwing rocks at space pirates.
When it's time for him to take a break, he heads over to sit at the picnic area by the LARPing game, watching the players while nibbling on a muffin. ]
B. Convention Flooding (Gizmoduck)
[ Things quickly become chaotic when the rain breaks through and the convention center starts to flood. But Fenton is able to find someplace out of sight, and hopefully no one hears the cry of "BLATHERING BLATHERSKITE!" over all the panic going on.
Soon Gizmoduck is rushing through the hall, his extendo-arms lifting people up and out of the way of the water. ]
I have you, citizen! [ He knows it's only a temporary solution, though, especially since it's still raining and water is still pouring in. ] Just hang on tight! I think I can clear a path!
[ Or at least he would, but the lights suddenly going out throws him off a little. ]
...Seriously?
II. Quest: Vital Venoms (Gizmoduck)
[ While Fenton didn't exactly have a fear of spiders, he does have to admit that even this quest has him hesitating just a bit. But it seems pretty dangerous, so the more he does the quest hopefully the less other people will have to suffer through it. Plus he hopes that the armor is strong enough to endure the bite and he won't have to worry about the venom.
So he makes his way to the caves in the hills of Red Spring, keep an eye out for any of the spider webs. While he needs to find a spider, he wasn't really in a hurry for one to find him. ]
III. Training Grounds (Fenton)
[ While he does his best to practice both kinds of magic, Fenton does find that he has an easier time with the Technomancy than he does with the Elemental. Probably because of his experience with the Gizmosuit, and how the suit is connected to his mind feeling similar to the sensation of using the tech magic.
Still, he doesn't want to fall behind with his Elemental magic either, so he makes sure to concentrate on those a little more. He finds that electricity comes easiest - it's almost like building up a charge for a static shock, so he uses that feeling when trying to generate electricity. Plus it's just kind of fun.
But he also tries to practice with other elements as well. Those are...less controlled, as a stray clump of dirt or stream of water or ball of fire narrowly misses another person practicing. ]
S-Sorry!
IV. Wildcard (Fenton)
((OOC: Fenton can be seen around Camelot, working odd jobs or just wandering around and taking notes of various shops and locations. So feel free to run into him somewhere, or hit me up at
usamichan13 to plan something else!))

She's practically bouncing on her heels, a stark contrast to Fenton's unease. ]
So, you ever get poisoned before? It's not as bad as TV makes it, I promise.
[ it's so much worse. ]
no subject
[ Even with all the weird things he's had to do as Gizmoduck, getting poisoned so far is not one of them.
Speaking of, he speaks in his normal voice, despite wearing the suit. They're far enough out of town that he doesn't have to worry about his identity, and since Della already knows who he is he doesn't need to put on the act. ]
We should probably consider getting bitten as a last resort, though.

[ FENTON PLEASE COME UP WITH A BETTER PLAN ]
no subject
Ooooooooooor...we can try capturing it first, to the mages who can extract the venom safely.
no subject
[ How is that the easy - look, figuring out Della logic is difficult. ]
no subject
Why wouldn't you want to - [ He suddenly cuts off in the middle of the familiar exasperated question, holding out a hand in front of Della as he stops in his tracks. ] Wait a minute.
[ He rolls forward a little bit as a light suddenly shines from the helmet, illuminating the cave and revealing the webbing all along the wall. ]
I'm guessing we're getting close.

[Honestly, the spider quest sounded daunting. Not that Makoto is actually afraid of spiders, but that seems like a complicated amount of work to collect that venom. So she's honestly here to scout and maybe wait for a partner; muscle of the senshi she might be, but she's not stupid. So she's sitting on a rock near the caves about to unpack her lunch when she sees... a guy in white armor? On a unicycle? Wait, no, is that a duck beak? Well that narrows it down to two.]
Hey...

Greetings, Miss! What brings you out here this fine day?
[ Yes he did lower his voice ARE YOU FOOLED ]
no subject
[Gee I wonder...]
Fenton-san?
[NOPE. NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST.]
no subject
Not that that's gonna stop him from trying. ]
...No?
no subject
[REALLY? Geez, Mako is THIS close to facepalming.]
Uh-huh. So youβre telling me itβs Della-san riding out to the spider caves with a strange suit trying to lower her voice?
no subject
[ Even if that was plausible - which, why couldn't it have been, maybe he had just been hiding since arriving! who'd know? - his tone is definitely giving it away.
So with a sigh, the visor pulls into the helmet to reveal his face. ]
Okay yes fine! It's me.

Ah?! Where-
[Where did it come from? He'd been just minding his own business using the training grounds as a place to work on some Alchemy in the open air! A small collection of rocks and ore are scattered around him so he really shouldn't be that fussed about some dirt smacking right in the noggen.]
no subject
[ Fenton scrambles over, frantic and apologetic. ]
I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! Are you all right? There wasn't accidentally a rock in there, was there? All this is still a little new to me.
no subject
[He fusses quickly with the dirt on his face but he's really fine. Don't worry, he's had it way worse than this before.
Izuku looks up to see... A duck. Man. Honestly- he's seen various different animal-mutation quirks before in his life so he doesn't question it that much! But it's still a little jarring!]
I was just surprised, that came out of nowhere. Ow...

[Maybe he's some sort of mud magic-user. Wait, is that even a thing? No way.]
Maybe you need a little more target practice?
no subject
Target practice would definitely be beneficial right now. The difficulty I'm having is trying to direct what I create to where I want them to go.

iii.
As she's carelessly floating up above the ground - perhaps ten feet or so - Ochako maintains her elevation effortlessly. That's the easy part, something she's done hundreds of time back at UA. No, the difficult part is movement. Zero Gravity never included movement - things floated were only that, held in stasis until struck by an opposing force, or the quirk was released and gravity resumed on them. This is...a little more difficult, though Ochako's probably over thinking it, as she is...prone to do. Puttering forward at a hilariously slow pace, she squeaks as a fireball narrowly misses smacking her in the face and she cartwheels in the air a few times as she turns sharply to avoid in.]
E-Eyaaah!!
no subject
[ At the moment, Fenton isn't sure what to address first; the fireball landing somewhere that could start a fire, or the fact that he almost hit someone with said fireball. β]
I'm sorry! Oh man, I'm really sorry! I'm still trying to figure all this out.
no subject
Though neither of the two individuals seem to even really notice, as Ochako hangs upsidedown in the air and holds her head to get the world to come into better focus. What in the world--...is that a duck? Blinking once, twice, the girl rubs her eyes and stares again. Yup, that's a duck - one just as anthropomorphic as Principal Nezu, and ochako looks around half expecting to see the tiny mouse-man sipping tea close by somewhere.]
Eh...um. I-It's fine, really!! I'm fine! My own elemental magic is a lot like that, too...M-Mr. Duck. [That sounds so damn rude, but. What else can she call him??] I'm starting to think it's the hardest type to really master - many people I've talked to seem to have issue with it.
no subject
[ He watches her for a moment, tilting his head. ]
Uh...are you okay?
[ She was still...upside down. ]
no subject
[Is she--...oh!! Pfft. Ochako snorts, then seems to roll over in midair like it was no big deal at all and just continues to hover there, though she does descend a few more feet down, so she can be at least a little more level with this ducky. No need for him to crane his neck all the way back to look up at her.]
Ehehe, sorry. I sometimes forget when I'm floating like that - this sort of thing comes way more easily to me. [Being able to sort of traverse in zero gravity, since that was her quirk, after all.]
