Avalon Fashion Show
🧙 WHO: Everyone who turns up!
⚔️️ WHAT: Mukuro attempts to host a fashion show and all of Avalon is invited
🕒 WHEN: Sunday 4th April, Afternoon - Evening
🗺️ WHERE: A rented hall in town
⚠️ WARNINGS: None, will update as needed.
BEFORE THE SHOW
Kind volunteers around Avalon have been recruited to help decorate the hall- To get the catwalk, lights and the various areas to showcase the clothes all ready. A popup bar serving both alcoholic and soft drinks has been set up, with a table set out ready for nibbles later. The hall itself has been given something of a spring theme, but...
Despite the whole thing being run like a military operation, the decor choices were a little mix and match. The pink camo bunting around the walls made for an interesting combination with the spring flowers theme, that was for sure.
FASHION SHOW PART 1: SPRING WEAR
The first half of the show was devoted to late spring fashion, looking at cute and stylish daily wear!
It follows a pretty simple format of the models- some recruited ahead of time, some dragged in from the street and 'volunteered' at the last minute- strutting their stuff along the catwalk in turn along to some appropriate background music, with... some of the outfits definitely more coordinated than others. It is clear which ones were designed by people who knew exactly what they were doing, and which ones were designed by those who were making lucky guesses.
Or, you know, it could just be a really interesting new fashion choice, who knows?
If anyone wants more time to showcase their designs as part of a range or suchlike, they're welcome to take to the stage for a short segment to do just that.
MIDSHOW BREAK: MINGLING
After the first half of the show, there's time for mingling. Any lucky volunteers who want to get involved can help carry around trays of drinks or food to the guests. Otherwise, there's plenty of time to chat, get to know other people at the event and enjoy the nibbles. And perhaps question some of the odd fashion/decoration choices.
No, minors will not be served alcohol. Don't get the poor venue in trouble, it did nothing to deserve this wreck!
FASHION SHOW PART 2: EVENING WEAR
Following on from the Masquerade, the second half of the show is focusing on formal wear- lots of beautiful dresses, dashing tuxes and everything in between. As before, models have either been recruited beforehand or just dragged in, and some of the outfits are significantly more well-matched than others. There's more of a classical style of background music for this part, just to show how classy it all is, you know?
Like in the first half, anyone is welcome to take a slot to showcase their range of designs if they so choose - take to the stage!
AFTER THE SHOW
The venue isn't open all night, but there's time for another round of drinks and chatting once the stage has been cleared away.
Once people start filing out, the volunteers will be recruited to help clear up the place- hopefully no one will leave too much of a mess, but hey, at least organisation is a little cooled down this time around. It seems the commander has finally run out of steam...
BACKSTAGE
Of course, people involved in the event are welcome 'backstage' at any point- although it's mostly just a changing area hidden by a curtain at the back of the stage. There's a few pop-up changing rooms, chairs and full length mirrors back here, so at least the models have their privacy. Bottled water and protein bar type snacks are also provided.

Mukuro 'Junko' Ikusaba | Danganronpa
Mukuro is running around trying her best to get everything organised- and trying not to sound like she's back in the military whilst she does so. But it's a lot and everything needs to be perfect!!
At least it looked like all the decoration was coming together now, it was perfect!
Spring Wear/Evening Wear
Mukuro herself was taking the stage a few times, marching down the catwalk as confidently as she can! It certainly wasn't the most elegant of looks, but hey, at least she seemed to be focused.
She'll be taking to the stage to MC the transitions between different parts of the event, and talk about the different styles on show. Maybe don't look too closely at her hands shaking on the mic whilst she does, though, or the fact that her comments aren't the most insightful.
Hopefully she can at least hide the fact she has no idea what she's talking about...
Mingling
Mukuro will be around to mingle and have some well deserved nibbles! She'll be very keen to get an idea as to how people are enjoying the event so far- and eagerly thanking her helpful volunteers.
Half way there, Mukuro! You can do it!
Backstage
Throughout the evening, she'll be regularly checking in on things backstage to make sure there aren't any problems and that everyone is doing okay.
After the show, though, she can be found crashed out on one of the chairs backstage, fast asleep... it's been a long, exhausting night.
mingling
Maribelle was quick to approach Mukuro, looking a little flustered. For all her eagerness, and all her ego, she appeared to be a bit... concerned. Maybe it'd been a bit of stage fright.
"I... A-hem. I just wanted to make sure I did everything correctly."
Maribelle had walked up and down the "runaway", and even curtsied, as if she was introducing herself at a royal ball. Prim and elegant, but perhaps a little... weird, for the purpose of the event.
I really need to be consistent on what name to use in descriptions
...Wait she'd asked her something hadn't she. "Huh? Yeah, I thought you looked great- really confident!"
lol no worries
no subject
Was there something she had missed? She couldn't tell at all.
"The curtsy was a nice touch, I think. It looked graceful."

MukuroJunko was running it, she figured she'd give it a shot. Her spring outfit wasn't anything special, but she still wore it pretty well. Plus, she even managed to grab a nice evening dress for later.Still, after walking up and down the runway like she saw on TV, she couldn't help but notice that she seemed a bit... nervous during the whole thing. Well, maybe she'll bring it up. Firstly... ]
Hey! How did I do?
[ She comes up to tap her on the shoulder to get her attention. ]
Oh no those outfits are cute
Hey Yuzu~! You were great, seriously, and that outfit's super cute.
How'd you find it?
aww thanks!
[ She blushes a bit from the compliment, scratching her cheek. She'd of course put a lot of thought into which outfit would look best on her, but still... a fashion show like this was new to her, so she had just acted like it was some kind of performance and put the usual performing-smile on her face while walking down the aisle. ]
Still, I'm amazed you managed to set all of this up!
no subject
But wouldn't have got here if you guys hadn't helped out too.

[ Still, all she did was come along and look pretty. She doesn't want her friend to burn out, so... ]
Still, is there anything else you need help with? I know the evening part of the show is coming up soon, but...

Before the show!
Junko! Hey! I told you I'd come and help!
This is one hell of an event you've got set up. Where do you need me?
no subject
Thank you! Seriously, I really appreciate it-
Mind grabbing the other end of this and helping me pin it up first?
no subject
[That said, Darin does as he's told and pins up the other end of the bunting.]
Camouflage? Interesting choice for a fashion show.
no subject
[...Wait was camo a weird choice??
Either way, there it goes, getting properly pinned in place.]
no subject
[Darin has literally no idea how fashion works.]
[But with the bunting up, Darin helps her down off the chair.]
Alright, boss. What's next?

Backstage
Although, now that the show was over, he was wondering where she could be. Luckily, it didn't take him long before he found her falling asleep on one of the chairs.]
Junko-san? If you're that tired, wouldn't it be better for you to go sleep on a couch nearby?
no subject
Ngh...huh? Mission status-
[Thankfully she was a light sleeper, and started to stir as he came over, shaking herself into wakefulness.]
no subject
Are you okay, Junko-san? Can you hear me?
[Because he really didn't want to have to drag her to the sofa and get her hurt!]
no subject
What- oh...Ken, hey...yeah, I hear you.
[Junko took a moment to just glance around, getting her bearings.]
...What happened? Did I seriously just fall asleep...?
no subject
I'm afraid you did. [He said before giving a small smile.] But if you're that tired, we can look around for a couch you can sleep on.

The message asked for a black tie grade outfit, claiming that the mayonnaise brand was collaborating with the fashion show, so Hijikata showed up in his full uniform from home (which was probably less that Okita had hoped for, but hell, Hijikata is not about to buy a whole new outfit when he has a nice-looking one) and spent the better part of the pre-show and the spring wear presentation looking around for the mayonnaise brand people. Now, in the intermission, he approaches Mukuro.]
Congratulations on the show. It's really good.
[He's honestly talking out of his ass. He's never attended a fashion show before, he doesn't know anything about fashion, and he was distracted enough to not even notice how nervous she was while presenting on stage. On the upside that means he isn't seeing through her own floundering in the slightest.]
Do you know where the mayonnaise people are?
no subject
Once it's time for a break, she glances up as he approaches her.]
Woah- hey, you're looking pretty sharp. And thanks, it's- it's going well I think!
[...And then he throws that curveball.]
The...what now?
no subject
The people hosting the mayonnaise prize ceremony. You know, from Avannaise. Didn't they talk to you? They're your event partners, aren't they? I actually won the main prize!
no subject
Still, she is looking utterly lost at the whole Mayonnaise Prize comments.
And is kind of blue-screening. Maybe she's just tired and misheard him?]
Avannaise...? Mayonnaise Prize? Uhh...
Congratulations??
[He won something! That's good, right?
...But what did this have to do with her?]
