[ A quest to take down monsters? To test his skills through sheer combat? Like anything else is going to really appeal to Bakugou, let's be real. Now that he has more than one magic type to master, it's more important. His philosophy is that he would best develop under pressure. Through practical means rather than being tied up at the training grounds.

It's with a feral expression that he takes on this task, cracking his knuckles as he dips into the labyrinth. ]

DON'T BOTHER SENDING ANYONE ELSE! JUST WAIT AND SEE!

[ Time for a classic RNG adventure! Just how far will our heroes get, because Bakugou isn't actually going in there alone is he? ]

You're going about this shit all wrong.

[ So says the blonde just sitting there with his hands in his pockets. Bakugou doesn't seem to be offering any assistance and will not elaborate unless asked further. Instead he just keeps watching with judging expression. This isn't something that is going to really be something done for "notoriety" so it's not something he's interested in doing. ]

Don't you have any brains in that head of yours?

[ It's not that, really. Not everyone is a nerd like Katsuki secretly is and has weird personality quirks. The reality is that Bakugou knows things that people wouldn't expect for him to. This is just one of those things... ]


( Vital Venoms ) **SKIP FOR SPIDERS**
[ Isn't spider venom a pretty common ingredient used in magic and potions in general? So it's not surprising that there's a quest to go out to collect some since apparently they are getting a little too active and coming out and saying hi to people. That's why he's out here and not because a certain nerd would also probably want some but likely get bitten in the process to deal with them even though this usually isn't something he'd be bothered with doing. ]

The hell does it matter if they are alive or not? Venom works regardless of the host still breathing!

[ Wouldn't it just be easier to collect the venom producing parts and bring them in? Katsuki is kind of grumbling about it when, wouldn't you know, he is the one walking right into one of those icky sticky webs! ]

BACK OFF!

[ Anyone else coming into the forest is going to be met with a rather interesting sight - Bakugou dangling in the air by the ankle. One of those vines has wrapped itself around the area. Missing people is definitely something to look into but he hadn't anticipated this. ]

Shitty plants!

[ He blasts at the vine with a weakish fireball. Enough to be let go - only for another one to grab him by the arm. ]

Argh!

[ To be honest... Bakugou is going to keep trying to break free with sheer force and destructive magic. ]


( Double Trouble )

[ Let's say you're enjoying your day in Camelot City. Maybe you're having a good time shopping or eating at one of the cafes in the area. It's a great day and even better weather. It should be spent outside, right? Yeah, well... There's a loud blast that's going to totally ruin the ambience. Smoke billows into the air and being thrown from it is one Bakugou Katsuki. He rolls across the ground a little, looking a bit roughed up as he catches himself. Pushing himself up, he coughs.

That's when his opponent then launches themselves from the dust cloud, another fireblast obscuring everyone's vision. Bakugou throws up a barrier to block the incoming attack - smoke once again billowing all around them...

And when the smoke clears... It's not one Bakugou Katsuki that stands there. It's two. ]

[ This is Shinsou's first time seeing ANYONE use Light magic, so the barrier is a slight shock that sends him jumping backwards a little - and higher into the air - before realizing it's his ally's magic.

It buys time at least. The others were wasting their time rebuilding the webbing to get to them, and run smack into the barrier. Now they've just got this one to deal with... but how? ]

Alive, remember!

[ He really would prefer if he could just switch positions with the spider - get it closer to Bakugou and farther from its companion, while Shinsou would be closer to the barrier in case it went down... heading off any more spiders trying to get around the barrier in 3D space.

In the blink of an eye, as he took a few steps forward in the air again, that's exactly what happened. Shinsou 'pulled' the spider towards himself, thinking they'd collide, but when he opened his eyes again, he was exactly where he wanted, leaving the two young men flanking the spider. ]

[ Bakugou, like in most things, catches onto stuff pretty fast. Then again he's had a little over two months to figure out how his magic can work. The barrier is pretty sturdy and he doesn't have to occupy himself by making sure his hands are still out. ]

I GOT IT ALREADY!

[ Keeping the spider alive, that is. Though the how is going to continue to puzzle him for a moment more. How can they restrain the spider to get some venom in a container or whatnot?

He's about to think about using some earth magic when suddenly Shinsou and the spider switch places. Bakugou looks confused for a moment. Just what is this guy's magic anyway? ]

What did you say that you can do!?

[ Because they don't have long to figure something out. The spider is going to only be disoriented from this switch for so long. ]

Kinesis.

[ Quick response given the circumstances, but he'd probably have given a curt response to Bakugou anyway, to be fair. Ah well.

'Pull' had worked very well, so... more of the same?

Shinsou lifts both of his hands up to the side and then claps them together in front of himself, focusing all of his efforts on tightly gripping his own hands together. At the same time, the spider's many legs tighten into a narrow column underneath of it very suddenly. Had Shinsou concentrated more, he might've been able to keep it upright, but... nah, he didn't care. More important to keep the legs contained.

The spider tipped forward since it'd been heading for Bakugou in the first place, head and venomous parts closer to him than Shinsou. ]

[ Well isn't that something... The real question now is how long can Shinsou keep those legs from extending out again? Bakugou doesn't rightfully know and doesn't really care.

He's taking the opportunity to cast some ice magic in hopes of freezing the damn legs to the ground. Spider can snap its jaws all it wants then.

No danger of it coming after them this way. But they'll have to be quicker about extracting venom. ]

[ That relinquished Shinsou's need to keep his mental focus on the legs. He realized that - at least for now - it was kind of like his Brainwash... he could use it on multiple people, but it was most effective if he focused on triggering just one at a time.

So now that he has the bandwidth again, he pulls the vial out of his pocket and pulls his arm back like a baseball pitch, then CHUCKS IT as hard as he can towards the front of the spider's body.

Once it's got that momentum built up, he uses his Kinetic magic to get it to take a wide arc to the side and downward, but he's still got some power behind that throw. With as much focus as he can drum up, he aims right for one of the spider's fangs. On a tiny, normal-sized spider, this would've been damn near impossible at such speed, but it's a monster-sized thing.

The vial with a soft top lands with a SMACK impact, angering the spider enough that it wants to thoroughly poison whatever hit it. That's good, though, because it means venom pools on the branch directly in front of it as it struggles against Bakugou's ice, while the trapped fang expels venom right into the vial itself. ]
