[ A quest to take down monsters? To test his skills through sheer combat? Like anything else is going to really appeal to Bakugou, let's be real. Now that he has more than one magic type to master, it's more important. His philosophy is that he would best develop under pressure. Through practical means rather than being tied up at the training grounds.

It's with a feral expression that he takes on this task, cracking his knuckles as he dips into the labyrinth. ]

DON'T BOTHER SENDING ANYONE ELSE! JUST WAIT AND SEE!

[ Time for a classic RNG adventure! Just how far will our heroes get, because Bakugou isn't actually going in there alone is he? ]


(  These Bumbles Don't Bounce )

You're going about this shit all wrong.

[ So says the blonde just sitting there with his hands in his pockets. Bakugou doesn't seem to be offering any assistance and will not elaborate unless asked further. Instead he just keeps watching with judging expression. This isn't something that is going to really be something done for "notoriety" so it's not something he's interested in doing. ]

Don't you have any brains in that head of yours?

[ It's not that, really. Not everyone is a nerd like Katsuki secretly is and has weird personality quirks. The reality is that Bakugou knows things that people wouldn't expect for him to. This is just one of those things... ]


( Vital Venoms ) **SKIP FOR SPIDERS**
[ Isn't spider venom a pretty common ingredient used in magic and potions in general? So it's not surprising that there's a quest to go out to collect some since apparently they are getting a little too active and coming out and saying hi to people. That's why he's out here and not because a certain nerd would also probably want some but likely get bitten in the process to deal with them even though this usually isn't something he'd be bothered with doing. ]

The hell does it matter if they are alive or not? Venom works regardless of the host still breathing!

[ Wouldn't it just be easier to collect the venom producing parts and bring them in? Katsuki is kind of grumbling about it when, wouldn't you know, he is the one walking right into one of those icky sticky webs! ]

( Very Friendly Vines )

BACK OFF!

[ Anyone else coming into the forest is going to be met with a rather interesting sight - Bakugou dangling in the air by the ankle. One of those vines has wrapped itself around the area. Missing people is definitely something to look into but he hadn't anticipated this. ]

Shitty plants!

[ He blasts at the vine with a weakish fireball. Enough to be let go - only for another one to grab him by the arm. ]

Argh!

[ To be honest... Bakugou is going to keep trying to break free with sheer force and destructive magic. ]


( Double Trouble )

[ Let's say you're enjoying your day in Camelot City. Maybe you're having a good time shopping or eating at one of the cafes in the area. It's a great day and even better weather. It should be spent outside, right? Yeah, well... There's a loud blast that's going to totally ruin the ambience. Smoke billows into the air and being thrown from it is one Bakugou Katsuki. He rolls across the ground a little, looking a bit roughed up as he catches himself. Pushing himself up, he coughs.

That's when his opponent then launches themselves from the dust cloud, another fireblast obscuring everyone's vision. Bakugou throws up a barrier to block the incoming attack - smoke once again billowing all around them...

And when the smoke clears... It's not one Bakugou Katsuki that stands there. It's two. ]

[Eleven does as Bakugou requests and remains where he is.

After a few long moments of watching the vines he lifts his hand and tries to create a shield of light around the young man... He's not sure if it will work. He's still new to being a wizard and keeping track of a moving target is already tricky enough.]

[ That's pretty much the opposite of what Bakugou had wanted? Receiving help is... Argh. But fine. He'll have to accept it and move on.

The shield will work enough for Katsuki to get out of reach. However it does present one little problem, huh? ]

How the fuck are we supposed to look for missing people when these things are around?

[luminatus]

Crikey...

...Good question.

[Eleven rubs his chin thoughtfully and looks around at the trees.]

Ya don't think these vines are what's responsible for that whole mess, do you? Maybe we should follow 'em.

[apshot]

Given how grabby they are? Yeah, I'm willing to bet that they are responsible.

[ He snorts. ]

Wonder if I could just walk and hold a barrier.

[luminatus]

[Eleven pulls his sword from his backstrap and points it towards the trees.]

Have you tried stabbing 'em yet?

Maybe if one of us holds up a barrier and the other one slashes at anything gettin' too close...

[As he is talking he is failing to notice a vine slowly creeping from a tree behind him and reaching for his outstretched arm.]

There's a problem with that plan of yours...

[ He holds his hands up. Now weapons. Nothing to stab with. ]

So if you wanna go on ahead, go for it.

[ Bakugou can provide barriers! ]

[luminatus]

[He looks his companion over.]

Aw. You shouldn't go into the woods without a weapon.

[As he speaks he turns and starts walking further into the woods, sword at the ready.]

Some of the monsters around here are bound to be immune to magic.

[apshot]

...I am the weapon.

[ And. He still needs to actually, you know. Pick one out. So he can do the slashy slashy thing? ]

I guess you might have a point though.

[ He can just follow though. No biggie. Truth is, he had wondered about if anything could be immune to magic. ]

[luminatus]

[Eleven squints and peers into the canopies, watching the slithering movement of vines.]

Eh? You're the weapon? How's that work?

[apshot]

Close combat. Punching? Kicking? Shit like that?

[ That's all he really has without magic. So perhaps he really does need to invest in something else and build that skill?

Bakugou is a bit of a prodigy though. He's certain he can pick it up if he puts his mind to it. ]

[luminatus]

Really? Well that's neat too, I can't do that stuff much.

CRIKEY!

[A vine slithers overhead. It doesn't get very close but its movement is enough to startle Eleven into leaping backwards.

Slowly, memories start to crawl up between his ears and he looks back at Bakugou.]

Wait, we've talked, huh? On the phone thingies. I think I recognize your voice.

[apshot]

[ Not that it much matters. Bakugou's putting a barrier up anyway. He suspects that these vines are responsible for the missing people. No idea what sets them off so they should just be careful. ]

I don't know. Probably?

[ Bakugou is pretty introverted. So it's easier to do text messaging than it is to, you know, meet in person. ]

[luminatus]

Yeah...Yeah!

I said I was gonna teach you sword fighting!

[He winces as a vine lashes against the barrier.]

Are you still interested?

[apshot]

[ The uh... Vines are getting pretty intense now. Bakugou wonders how long his barrier will hold and if they should maybe. Head back? ]

...Look. I'm all for learning a new skill. So hell yeah, I am.

[luminatus]

[Eleven holds a hand aloft, adding his own magic to barrier.]

Crikey...

These vines don't let up do they...?

[He glances back at Bakugou.]

How are you holdin' up?

[apshot]

[ That actually does take some of the burden away from Katsuki. He huffs, popping his knuckles slightly. ]

They don't seem to, no. Cut down one and several more come back. Might have to rethink shit.

[ Not going to add how he's holding up. It's really frustrating, being in this world. He's sure that if he had his Quirk proper then he could just blast this entire area. However that's just not an option. ]

[luminatus]

Yeah, I don't think this "slashing 'em" idea is gonna work...

[He never was good at coming up with cunning plans.]

But I don't have any offensive magic, do you?

[In the confusion of the moment, he's forgotten that he'd seen Bakugou shooting fireballs when he first stumbled upon him.]

[ Conveniently forgotten that Bakugou had been blasting fire around, actually. The blonde even looks back at the guy with a "are you serious?" sort of expression. ]

Obviously I do. Problem is that this shit is more draining than my other magic.
