[ A quest to take down monsters? To test his skills through sheer combat? Like anything else is going to really appeal to Bakugou, let's be real. Now that he has more than one magic type to master, it's more important. His philosophy is that he would best develop under pressure. Through practical means rather than being tied up at the training grounds.

It's with a feral expression that he takes on this task, cracking his knuckles as he dips into the labyrinth. ]

DON'T BOTHER SENDING ANYONE ELSE! JUST WAIT AND SEE!

[ Time for a classic RNG adventure! Just how far will our heroes get, because Bakugou isn't actually going in there alone is he? ]

You're going about this shit all wrong.

[ So says the blonde just sitting there with his hands in his pockets. Bakugou doesn't seem to be offering any assistance and will not elaborate unless asked further. Instead he just keeps watching with judging expression. This isn't something that is going to really be something done for "notoriety" so it's not something he's interested in doing. ]

Don't you have any brains in that head of yours?

[ It's not that, really. Not everyone is a nerd like Katsuki secretly is and has weird personality quirks. The reality is that Bakugou knows things that people wouldn't expect for him to. This is just one of those things... ]


( Vital Venoms ) **SKIP FOR SPIDERS**
[ Isn't spider venom a pretty common ingredient used in magic and potions in general? So it's not surprising that there's a quest to go out to collect some since apparently they are getting a little too active and coming out and saying hi to people. That's why he's out here and not because a certain nerd would also probably want some but likely get bitten in the process to deal with them even though this usually isn't something he'd be bothered with doing. ]

The hell does it matter if they are alive or not? Venom works regardless of the host still breathing!

[ Wouldn't it just be easier to collect the venom producing parts and bring them in? Katsuki is kind of grumbling about it when, wouldn't you know, he is the one walking right into one of those icky sticky webs! ]

BACK OFF!

[ Anyone else coming into the forest is going to be met with a rather interesting sight - Bakugou dangling in the air by the ankle. One of those vines has wrapped itself around the area. Missing people is definitely something to look into but he hadn't anticipated this. ]

Shitty plants!

[ He blasts at the vine with a weakish fireball. Enough to be let go - only for another one to grab him by the arm. ]

Argh!

[ To be honest... Bakugou is going to keep trying to break free with sheer force and destructive magic. ]


( Double Trouble )

[ Let's say you're enjoying your day in Camelot City. Maybe you're having a good time shopping or eating at one of the cafes in the area. It's a great day and even better weather. It should be spent outside, right? Yeah, well... There's a loud blast that's going to totally ruin the ambience. Smoke billows into the air and being thrown from it is one Bakugou Katsuki. He rolls across the ground a little, looking a bit roughed up as he catches himself. Pushing himself up, he coughs.

That's when his opponent then launches themselves from the dust cloud, another fireblast obscuring everyone's vision. Bakugou throws up a barrier to block the incoming attack - smoke once again billowing all around them...

And when the smoke clears... It's not one Bakugou Katsuki that stands there. It's two. ]

It's nothing a goddamn nap won't solve.

[ He can get the couple of burns he did receive from the fake healed later. They aren't major, of course. Nothing that he absolutely needs to do anything about right now. ]

Let's go. No reason to stick around this dump.

Right, right...

[Breathing out slowly, Ochako follows after her friend, rubbing at her sore joints gingerly taking deep breaths in and out to try and force down the weight, weighted feeling on her chest. There's a moment where she glances back at the destruction she caused and feels a cold, creeping shiver run up her spine and the sharp sting in her chest again.

Man, she...doesn't ever want to do that again.]

I'll walk you back home.

[ There's a slight pause from Katsuki. Red eyes are staring right at Ochako, but it's hard to say what it is that he's actually doing. He is sizing her up with a glance, likely unknown by Round Face herself. Bakugou is making a quick assessment of his next step. ]

Ain't going back to the house.

[ He'll shove his hands in his pockets and start to walk off. Towards where Ochako should be resting. ]

[floatsaway]

Huh? What?

[She turns back to Bakugou, looking up from staring down at the ground as she was starting to walk forward a little, blinking owlishly. He's not going back--...? Why not? Did he have anywhere else to be today? It's really not a good idea to be anywhere right now, especially alone... If those weird fakes are crawling around, then it'd be best to stick close to each other, wouldn't it? Ochako jogs a bit to catch up, but stays a few paces behind her friend purposefully.]

Um...okay. Where are you going? I-I'll go, too.

[ Honestly? What Bakugou wants to do is take a goddamn shower and then nap. Rest and replenish. If it had been his Quirk, then his hands would have been sore. The penalty for overuse here is exhaustion. But Ochako is worse off than he is, right? ]

Tell you when we get there.

[ Instead of her walking him home... He's gonna walk her back. ]

[floatsaway]

[Ochako is...dubious about his response, but she's also a bit too distracted to put up much of a fight, not to mentioned exhausted. A shower and some rest sounds fan-fucking-tastic, but she also doesn't want to let her friend go off on his own again. God knows he'd run into another shitty fake when his tank is on empty and try to fight it off. They're better off just going home together to watch each other's backs.]

Fine.

[Though, as it becomes clear they're headed back to her shared home with the girls, Ochako is just going to sigh and tilt her head to one side, a bit defeated. She can't argue, doesn't have the energy to, but--] Thank you, Bakugou-kun... You should come inside, rest a little bit. I think there's leftover miso katsu left from yesterday...I can heat it up for you.

[ She's... Not wrong about that assessment. He would fight whatever and whomever if it came down to it. And then he wouldn't care about how low his magical reserves are.

He doesn't respond to her thanks. Doesn't think he needs to. Her invitation, however... ]

For a couple of minutes. Yeah.

[floatsaway]

[There's a brief and small smile at that, and she opens the door for him, taking off her shoes and leaving them off to the side a bit. Ochako stretches a bit, feeling a few of her joints pop - gods, she needs a nice, relaxing bath - but heads to the kitchen first.]

Tea? [Lord knows there's a pot of it on one of the burners...what with Momo living here and all.]

[ And Bakugou? He heads straight to the living room. This boy does not care. He is going to plop face first into a couch.

Just try to move him. ]

Yeah sure. Whatever.

[floatsaway]

[Honestly, that's a whole ass mood right there, and Ochako chuckles quietly when she watches him just plop on the couch, watching him quietly before making an affirming noise that she heard him and going to prep everything.

It won't be long at all, maybe ten minutes tops, before Ochako is quietly setting down a plate of food and a mug of hot tea on the coffee table near where he's resting. She'd prefer if he just stayed the night, it's safer than him walking back alone, but Ochako won't press him to. She's too worn out herself, really... Amd grabs some throw blankets, putting one by the arm rest for Bakugou, if he wants, and then wraps herself up in one and just...curls up into a loveseat adjacent the couch.

She's so tired.]

[ He won't stay. There are reasons for that though. Reasons that tie into an accumulation of events from home, the South Sister, and now this place. Bakugou is always one for sleep, but there are now circumstances that makes it difficult from time to time. So he'll stay here until he has enough energy to head back to the house.

Which means he is sitting up once something is brought to him. The blonde isn't going to take the blanket, but focus on the mug instead. Hopefully Ochako doesn't need conversation, because Katsuki doesn't think he can provide it. Instead it will be settling in silence. Recovering. Gathering a second wind. ]
