[ A quest to take down monsters? To test his skills through sheer combat? Like anything else is going to really appeal to Bakugou, let's be real. Now that he has more than one magic type to master, it's more important. His philosophy is that he would best develop under pressure. Through practical means rather than being tied up at the training grounds.

It's with a feral expression that he takes on this task, cracking his knuckles as he dips into the labyrinth. ]

DON'T BOTHER SENDING ANYONE ELSE! JUST WAIT AND SEE!

[ Time for a classic RNG adventure! Just how far will our heroes get, because Bakugou isn't actually going in there alone is he? ]

You're going about this shit all wrong.

[ So says the blonde just sitting there with his hands in his pockets. Bakugou doesn't seem to be offering any assistance and will not elaborate unless asked further. Instead he just keeps watching with judging expression. This isn't something that is going to really be something done for "notoriety" so it's not something he's interested in doing. ]

Don't you have any brains in that head of yours?

[ It's not that, really. Not everyone is a nerd like Katsuki secretly is and has weird personality quirks. The reality is that Bakugou knows things that people wouldn't expect for him to. This is just one of those things... ]


( Vital Venoms ) **SKIP FOR SPIDERS**
[ Isn't spider venom a pretty common ingredient used in magic and potions in general? So it's not surprising that there's a quest to go out to collect some since apparently they are getting a little too active and coming out and saying hi to people. That's why he's out here and not because a certain nerd would also probably want some but likely get bitten in the process to deal with them even though this usually isn't something he'd be bothered with doing. ]

The hell does it matter if they are alive or not? Venom works regardless of the host still breathing!

[ Wouldn't it just be easier to collect the venom producing parts and bring them in? Katsuki is kind of grumbling about it when, wouldn't you know, he is the one walking right into one of those icky sticky webs! ]

BACK OFF!

[ Anyone else coming into the forest is going to be met with a rather interesting sight - Bakugou dangling in the air by the ankle. One of those vines has wrapped itself around the area. Missing people is definitely something to look into but he hadn't anticipated this. ]

Shitty plants!

[ He blasts at the vine with a weakish fireball. Enough to be let go - only for another one to grab him by the arm. ]

Argh!

[ To be honest... Bakugou is going to keep trying to break free with sheer force and destructive magic. ]


( Double Trouble )

[ Let's say you're enjoying your day in Camelot City. Maybe you're having a good time shopping or eating at one of the cafes in the area. It's a great day and even better weather. It should be spent outside, right? Yeah, well... There's a loud blast that's going to totally ruin the ambience. Smoke billows into the air and being thrown from it is one Bakugou Katsuki. He rolls across the ground a little, looking a bit roughed up as he catches himself. Pushing himself up, he coughs.

That's when his opponent then launches themselves from the dust cloud, another fireblast obscuring everyone's vision. Bakugou throws up a barrier to block the incoming attack - smoke once again billowing all around them...

And when the smoke clears... It's not one Bakugou Katsuki that stands there. It's two. ]

[He doesn't expect anyone to remember him from a handful of texts, anyway - there's no reason for him to be memorable in this world. More importantly, he expects company soon, so he plunges on.]

Listen, my name is Sagi, and this guy is... Red. [There is absolutely nothing red about his horrible demonic familiar, but that isn't exactly easy to see right now either - only its four glowing eyes, watching from behind Sagi in silence.] Let's go together. We can help secure the -

[He stops abruptly, squinting past Katsuki into the dark. Around a corner, something goes gloop.]

...Those. Here they come.

Have a - [ Two sets of eyes blink. Blink blink... ] go at each other?

[ Both blondes are staring at Izumo like he's grown a second head. ]

IMMA KILL THIS GUY IS WHAT I'M ABOUT TO DO!!!

[ Synchronized yelling should be a new sport, right? It's like hearing it in stereo. Only one of them is definitely trying to lead the other away from people if anyone's bothering to look at hwere they started and where they are now... ]

[ Little licks of flame start to come to life in the palms of his hands. ]

Oh I'll show you spirit all right. Just open the damn door and let's get started.

[Eleven does as Bakugou requests and remains where he is.

After a few long moments of watching the vines he lifts his hand and tries to create a shield of light around the young man... He's not sure if it will work. He's still new to being a wizard and keeping track of a moving target is already tricky enough.]

[He might seem alone at first, but he won't get very far into the damn place before he finds Lightning lost in the maze of bookshelves. Apparently, others had successfully navigated their way through the first time, but she wasn't there for that, and decided she would be best going in on her own. Well, that was a mistake and a half.

So here she is, kicking another shelf when she comes to another dead-end. She's so, so close to the exit but she has no idea... She would if she would just keep going, but she's taking a moment to take her frustrations out on some innocent books that go tumbling to the floor.

When she hears a familiar voice, if not a little loud, she turns just in time to see Bakugou stomping his way further into the labyrinth.]

You sure you wanna go further in? [Another book falls from a higher shelf, and almost hits her right on the head.] This place sucks.

[.......... please help and guide her out of here.]

[ Why indeed... Bakugou falls towards the ground, righting himself so that he at least lands on his feet. He can't tell if the plants are agitated or just determined. ]

How many of these things have you hacked to bits?

[ The hell... Why would anyone like tunnels? They are cramped and tight and don't really make for easy fighting. So Katsuki doesn't really say anything here at first. He just kind of stares at Sagi. Then shifts to try to look passed him to see that familiar. Which, you know, he really can't. ]

Bakugou -

[ Nope! No time to really introduce himself. There's slimes coming and his grin starts to grow. ]

...So I'm not the only one who learned a few new tricks.

Anyway, we gotta make our way through the maze first. Luckily, I made the map.

[Darin throws open the doors to the library and starts to head in.]

So...what new magic did you wake up with? Looks like elemental.

[Homura landed not too long afterwards, swinging her blades at more of the vines. Now it felt more overwhelming than before. Given the workout and heat she was pushing out thanks to the magic, now she was getting more of a sweat in.]

Too many. They'll just keep regenerating no matter how much we torch the place. And I already tried earlier.

[Mostly by accident when she first got caught. It was enough to escape, but by the time she returned, they recovered like thing happened. As if to help demonstrate this, Homura swung both swords, creating a twin blade beam of fire to smash against the walls the vines were come from.

They were burned alright, leaving a large blackened spot ...and quickly recovering in seconds, as if nothing happened. At least the ones one the ground remained dead. Welp, back to slicing and dicing, slowly backing away to the exit.]

My advice? Fall back. You want revenge, come back later.

[It's kinda why she did, until she learned how good of a workout this was. Until now obviously. Might need to add an extra hour or so to that nap now.]

[ That's pretty much the opposite of what Bakugou had wanted? Receiving help is... Argh. But fine. He'll have to accept it and move on.

The shield will work enough for Katsuki to get out of reach. However it does present one little problem, huh? ]

How the fuck are we supposed to look for missing people when these things are around?

[ It's not like he had actually mapped this place out before. However he knows a few people that have. So he has a pretty good idea of where he needs to go to get out of here and down where it really counts. Katsuki is really itching to actually fight something like a monster instead of sparring with some other loser.

When Lightning calls out to him, Katsuki pauses. is she just... Kicking over books and shit? Okay, so he'd probably be doing the same if he had gotten frustrated. ]

Yeah, I do. Would be pointless to come here otherwise.

[ It doesn't suck. It's just a damn maze. The real fun doesn't begin until getting to the lower floor. ]

So are you gonna keep going or just smack the books around?

Obviously not. I ain't gonna stand still or just sit on my goddamn hands.

[ He's going to keep pushing forward. Keep working and improving. There's no other option.

Don't mind him then. Bakugou's going to try to peer at this map should Darin think to get it out. ]

But yeah. Elemental.

[ So what did Darin wake up with? ]

[He turns and throws a smirk Bakugou's way. The map itself is incredibly detailed and with it, it won't take them long to get to the monsters.]

Ya don't think these vines are what's responsible for that whole mess, do you? Maybe we should follow 'em.

Given how grabby they are? Yeah, I'm willing to bet that they are responsible.

[ He snorts. ]

Wonder if I could just walk and hold a barrier.

[ MARCHING OFF THEN. HE'S NOT GONNA SIT THERE AND TAKE THIS SHIT ANY LONGER. ]

[ Seems like one of them is slightly less irritated than the other. However it could go either way when it comes to Bakugou, right? Which does Izumo believe would be the real one in this case? ]

[He'll just casually start walking down the correct path without telling Bakugou. Better play catch up, Explodey Boy]

'He got his Quirk back?! How...' [ But he knows there's more important things to focus on. ]

[ He'd barely begun to explore the range of possibilities that his Kinetic magic had to offer. He knew he could fly, that he wasn't very good at it hence hovering, and push-pull maneuvers. Push-pull... a whole spider? Not while they had so many other opponents, so what could he...

He looks up and outstretches a hand above the spiders. He flicks both of his palms upwards at the wrist; a tree branch creaks as if blown by a strong wind, bending upwards too. Shinsou yanks his arms back down, tucking his elbows in and balling his fists; the tree branch whips downward, snapping several lines of webbing at once. The two nearest spiders on that line go tumbling downward, while two more spend some time scrambling away to regain their footing.

Just one was already close enough that it doesn't miss a beat in continuing to head for Shinsou as he hovers on that web line. ]

[Sighing, she picks up a single book and slides it back onto the bookshelf, all alone.]

No one told me about this damn maze.

That's neither here nor there, though. This is where she's at, and she strides down the corridor of shelves to meet him.]

Wouldn't mind a way out and down, if you know one.

[ Of course it's going to be hard to navigate. Katsuki huffs and rubs at his neck. ]

[ At least he knows where to go. His hands might be in his pockets but he's heading towards the entrance to the lower levels. ]

Are you gonna be able to navigate down in the depths or am I gonna need to watch your ass down there too?
