Food and snow
Who: Archer & open!
What: December Catch all
When: December
Where: Starting inn's common kitchen, outside in Camelot
Warnings: Will update if needed.
Food
[It doesn't take too long for Archer to get cooking again. Funny how the need to eat (or at least the feeling of needing to eat) inspired you. He wasn't sure how much of him was still a counter guardian and how much wasn't, but he might as well enjoy making and eating food now that he had time for it.
Currently, Archer is in the common kitchen provided for them at the inn they were living in for free. His dish of the day was Sukiyaki - with some edits, considering not everything could be found from the place. There are also some rice balls.
He's made a bit too much food. Mostly because he likes cooking for others too (even if he'd never admit to it nowadays) but also for later meals too if not everything is eaten.
Either way, since it's a common kitchen, he is free to pestering.]
Snowball fight
(TDM prompt)
[Archer sees what's going on outside and quickly decides to change his direction. He's not about to enter a snowball fight. The two girls in his life are way too competitive and he'd be stuck there all day fighting them. Worse, they might even team up against him.
So excuse him while he walks away from the glittering rainbow snow.]

Food!
Thus, the sight of all that spread out on one of the tables is a welcome sight.]
Somebody's been busy. What's all this for?

I tend to make a lot of food to store some for later... but you're free to eat some if you want. There's enough to share.
no subject
[But that just means he's grudgingly impressed, and also not turning down the offer. He collects one of the rolls for a bite.]
Thanks.
[And because he's not going to steal and run, which means a conversation is likely to happen, he adds,]
I'm Jack.
no subject
Archer. And it's mostly an old habit.
no subject
[Look, Jack's just impressed you know how to cook, period. He's got no clue for anything other than campfire food or sandwiches.]

FOOD FIRST
Oh, it's just Archer cooking. Rin walks a few steps away from there.
Wait. What?! Archer--!! She takes those few steps back and keeps staring at him in that kitchen. Not that it's surprising to see he's found his love for cooking again, but at the same time maybe it is a little surprising with how fast it happened... Then again not at all in a world like this, people need things to do and that being his thing is the least surprising thing ever to her. She won't admit it but it is one of the things she missed from Lunatia after he and Shirou both left and it's not like she and Archer had any good times left back home for the rest of the war either... It feels like forever since the last time she saw him in any kitchen.
She'd better make the most of this and everything else here too!! So, Rin walks in and starts getting everything ready to a table for two.]
Hey, Archer, take a break and eat with me.
no subject
Archer finishes what he's doing and puts the items away before washing his hands again and turning to look at Rin.]
I suppose I can finish the rest a little later.
Food (because of course)
When she sees Archer, her eyes widen in surprise. Well... considering what she knows, of course he knows how to cook. Still, the sight is somewhat surreal. ]
Hm...
[ She watches from behind the corner. She may thinks she's hidden, but she's very easy to see. Should she ask him if he could spare a meal? For some reason, she's not entirely sure. ]
no subject
Why don't you sit down, Saber. Food's ready in a few minutes.
no subject
[ He sees her? Damn, and here she thought she was perfectly hidden. She looks stubborn and indignant at having been spotted for a moment, but the smell of Archer's cooking is enough for her to accept that she was caught, and she takes a seat, waiting patiently. ]
Very well then...
[ She sits politely at a table, not saying anything else. ]
no subject
[Or something similar enough to umeboshi, he supposed.]
no subject
[ She eyes the rice balls. Umeboshi, huh...
She frowns at them for a moment, looking deep in thought. "Which one do I have first?" Is what's going through her head at the moment.
In any case, she decides to try both of them... and she looks pretty pleased, actually. ]

food
So, inn life it is. And like any teenager left to her own devices, she's been pretty exclusively living off instant food and prepackaged whatever she can find. Which keeps her fed, but it's starting to get a little... extremely... boring. So when she comes trudging down for a boring meal of boring eggs and toast and instead sees (and smells) Archer cooking up a storm... well, you can't blame her if her face lights up, can you? ]
Ohmigod, this smells amazing! Did you make all this?
[ Going by the look on her face, her next line is probably going to be "And can I have some?" ]
no subject
I did. I wanted to make some to store, but I ended up making more than I expected. Feel free to grab something.
[He understands that look. He's seen it before.]
no subject
[ Permission thus given, Stella zooms right over and hovers her hand around, so delighted by the amount of choices that she's a little stuck on where to start. ]
Jeez, this all looks so good... um, what's in the riceballs? Like, the filling, I mean– is it just some rice and salt and stuff or is there something inside?
no subject
Those have no filling. These have tuna and these are the closest I could find to umeboshi.
no subject
[ Start with, she says, like it's an advance warning that she plans to consume way more of this food than is probably necessary. She looks fairly contented just munching on her riceball though, so maybe she won't go all out feral. ]
These are really good! But how come you ended up making so many? Is there something happening I didn't hear about?

Food: Zelda gonna meet ALL the Servants ('cuz it's funny)
Perhaps someone was experimenting with food to enhance abilities like she had back in her home world? Maybe that was why she didn't recognize the scent. It would be kind of nice to have a collaborator in her research, if that were the case.
Zelda poked her head around the corner of one kitchen wall and observed the man hard at work preparing the meal for a few minutes before fully entering and making herself known.
"Greetings friend. Are you the chef here?"
She didn't think asking him straight out if he was cooking for science was the best idea, lest she look really strange.
no subject
"I don't think there's an official chef. I'm just cooking to store to make meals a bit easier."
no subject
Zelda hated admitting such things. The fact that she was naïve in so many ways because of her station, thought she kept that part to herself.
She was a little disappointed that her theory on why the food smelled so exotic wasn't true, but she also had an urge to try some of it since it did smell really good. The princess was always eager to try new things. Unfortunately, she also didn't want to be rude, and ask if perhaps she could partake of the strange looking cuisine, but the sparkle in her eyes when she looked over the display betrayed her outward thoughts.
"Shall I... leave you be then?" she asked, the disappointment evident in her tone as well.
no subject
"You could do that, or you could help me eat some of this. I made way too much. I'd never eat them in time even if I stored them."

Fod
She lived upstairs of a restaurant back home and grew up in an Inn, she knew what it looked like when people were cooking for a group. And it was old habit to presume that meant that there was work for her to do too. She would head for the sink to wash up as soon as her hair was tied up.
To look at her and hear her now she didn't seem the sort that could be the source of that evil cackling... so... maybe it wasn't actually her?
no subject
"You could help with making the salad. It's still in the works."
The evil cackling is strange and really doesn't fit the situation. Maybe something else was around.

"Around five with you included, but it might be safe to make a bit extra. And they're on the top self on the second cabinet..."
