[ As nice as it is to be here with so many classmates, the girls of Class 1-A decide they need some "us" time, away from the boys. Midoriya mutters too much, Bakugou yells too much, Shinsou barely knows anybody, and Amajiki-senpai, well... He tries but he's not exactly the most thrilling company. No, the girls are better off striking out on their own, and so they pick a weekend and decide to go have a fun beach trip!

First, they shop for whatever supplies they may need before leaving Camelot (food, beach blankets, umbrellas, a swimsuit-- if you dare risking a dip in the icy waters, that is!). Then, they rent a carriage and head for the bay. They spend a carefree, fun, relaxing day on the beach and then take the carriage back to Red Springs. It's too long of a journey there and back to do all in one day, so they've gotten rooms at the inn for the night. And, it's the perfect opportunity to visit the springs themselves, and get a good soak in! All in all, it's the recipe for the best trip ever-- or rather, the best trip you can have when you're all stranded in a fantasy land outside of space and time. Semantics. ]

Mm, I'm sort of the same, e-even if I'm not...as good at certain courses like you are, Momo-chan. [Meaning that Ochako is really just painfully average when it comes to her studies. Nothing truly noteworthy, but still not below the average, either. She has courses she excels in, and courses she struggles with, but Ochako always does her best and studies hard.]

Do you think there are schools here on the island? Ones we can enroll into, just to get the basics? As much as I enjoy questing and stuff like that, I still feel there's more for me to learn academically, too...even if just a few courses here and there. [Maybe something online? Though she'd have to get herself a computer or laptop...and those are expensive...]

[ Momo decides to reach up and untie the band holding her hair up, allowing it to fall around her shoulders, getting the ends wet, but releasing some of the stress on her scalp after a long day of having it tied back. It's indulgent, but the more time she spends in the hot springs, the more relaxed she feels. ]

Mm? I don't know... I suppose they would have to have some kind of schooling, for the local youth, if nothing else. Whether they would allow us visitors to attend, though...

[ She hums, shrugging a bit. ]

[Aaah...Yaomomo always looks so pretty with her hair down like that. She wears it up in her signature ponytail so often that it's a rare treat to see it down. She'd love to brush or play with it someday... With her short bob, the brunette can't exactly do anything fancy other that some small, tight buns and ponytails.]

That's what I thought, too. If there are local families and children here, I'm sure they're attending school of some sort, and...I guess it's just me missing UA, but it feels weird to have so much free time, you know? And I don't want to just be here not really learning anything...even if it's just general studies.

[Ochako may not be the smartest, or best at academics, but she still puts a pretty stringent value on it regardless. Her schoolwork is important, even if it is quite difficult sometimes.]

Oh, and...Momo-chan? [Ochako clears her throat, her cheeks getting pink.] Umm...w-would you be at all bothered if I asked to braid your hair sometime? I-I've been thinking of growing mine out, maybe...b-but I don't know how well it'd suit me...

[ Momo nods in agreement with everything Ochako is saying. ] The quests do take up a fair bit of time, but... It would be nice just to have a regular commitment like school or-- [ Hm. ] I've been thinking about looking for a job of some kind. Like a work study only... More work than study.

[ She hasn't gone out to look for where to apply yet, but it has been on her mind more and more recently. She wants to expand her knowledge base and get more real world experience. It was something she was a bit envious of her classmates for, those like Ochako and Tsuyu who were able to work for an actual hero.

She's so consumed with the thought of finding a job that she almost misses Ochako's question, as timidly asked as it is. ]

Mm? Oh--! [ She beams, excited that Ochako would ask. She doesn't often let people touch her hair, but she honestly doesn't have anything against it, especially if they ask nicely instead of just reaching out and grabbing it. And she trusts Ochako not to try anything like that, so of course she'll let her friend braid it! ]

Sure, I'd like that. You can come to my room at the inn for a sleepover! And, for what it's worth, I think you have the sort of look that could pull off longer hair if you wanted to!

Oh? [The thought of Momo is a workplace environment is a curious one. Of course she's an extremely hard worker - committed and reliable to a fault - but Ochako just...never expected Yaomomo to be anything less than a hero. She has all the makings to be an exceptional one, in Ochako's eyes.] What sort of job did you have in mind?

[For a moment, Ochako is so focused on trying to picture what sort of casual work Momo would be best at (honestly, a teacher strikes her first. The girl's intellect is unmatched) that she takes a moment to register that Momo answered her previous question, snapping back to reality with a tiny jolt.]

Eh--oh, aah! Really?! Uwaah, thank you, Momo-chan, I promise I'll be really gentle, and try not pull at all. Hee, I bet you use all sorts of really nice hair products too, huh? That's why it's so glossy and pretty all the time. [What with her own "hair escapades" earlier in the last few months, Ochako had...been thinking about this a bit. The color, the shine, the length... Maybe it was time to change something about herself? Would it help her look more mature, maybe? Different?] You think? My mama has longer hair than me, about here to her shoulders, and we look a lot alike...

Mmh, I dunno if I want to look exactly like her, though.

I'm not sure... [ She hums, bringing up a hand to tap her chin as she thinks. ] I'd like something that challenges me, something where I can learn skills I can use in future.

[ It's hard to say whether anything they learn or accomplish here will be able to be carried back with them when they defeat the Calamity and return to their various homes and times. Theoretically speaking, since her magic is tied to her connection with her familiar, once Momo parts ways with Choki, she'll lose access to her magic (and hopefully regain access to her Quirk in the process). It's a delicate balance, whether to learn skills that will help her perfect her magic so that they can solve this world's problems sooner, or whether she should focus her efforts on learning things that she'll be able to use back home. ]

I did meet someone, back when we first arrived, who mentioned wanting to open up a blacksmithing shop. Making armor and weapons, that sort of thing. Maybe he'll take me on as an apprentice?

[ She at least has experiencing creating weapons, although using her Quirk to do it is quite different from forging them out of steel and fire.

But that can be a conversation for another time, once she seeks out Darin to ask him officially. Momo would rather stay in the moment, and talk about girl things! Like hair care! ]

Mm, yes! Though of course, I've had to use different hair products since I've been here, that aren't as high quality as the ones I'm used to... But they sell products with some light enchantments on them, that increase shine and volume! I could recommend some to you, if you'd like. I think I saw one that encouraged growth, but... I don't know if I would trust magical hair growing potions.

[ You don't want to overdose and end up with a Rapunzel situation on your hands! ]

[Aah...that sounds just like Yaoyorozu. Never settling to just fit into a niche she already could pack herself into. She wants the experience, the challenge, something that will better herself. It's why Ochako adores her so much - they're the same in that regard. It took Ochako a bit to realize her own limitations, and what she wanted to be going forward meant she couldn't just rely on one aspect of herself, but...she's moving. She's growing. Step by step, she's moving forward...sometimes stumbling on the way, but that's why she has good friends like Momo, Jirou, Izuku, Kirishima, Tsuyu, and even Bakugou to keep her straight on the path ahead. All of them are rushing toward their futures.]

Oooh, a blacksmith?! That would be so cool, Momo-chan!! I know that sort of thing is supposed to be hard work, and takes a lot of body strength! If you manage to get it, you'll be so strong!! [Seriously, Ochako has a bit of muscle tone in her arms from her martial arts, but she's still on the bulkier side. Momo's going to get some guns.] Ehehe, I bet all the boys will be flocking to you to get swords and armor made, too...you know how they are. Good luck, I really hope you can get it!!

[Feeling herself starting to get a little hot from the baths, Ochako daintily stands, making sure that she's still fairly covered before grabbing a towel to wrap herself in. No need to soak for too long...she doesn't want to become a prune.]

Eeeh...that explains a lot. I wouldn't mind at all. I've kept my hair nice as best I can, but you know how it gets when I wake up sometimes... I have a cowlick worse than when Aludra-san gives me kisses. It sticks up like an antennae! [Ochako motions with her hand, her index finger wiggling at the crown of her head like, well...an antennae.] Like I'm calling for aliens or something!
