🧙 WHO: Thrawn and YOU
⚔️️ WHAT: Open log for Thrawn
🕒 WHEN: Month of March
🗺️ WHERE: Various locations around Camelot
⚠️ WARNINGS: None at the moment
Art Studies
There are a few places that Grand Admiral Thrawn feels at home and comfortable. One is in his office, another is on the bridge of his ship, and yet another is art galleries and museums. Since the Chimaera is back in his home universe, Thrawn has found himself locating a nearby museum in Camelot and paying a visit. If he can get a look at the local artwork, he may be able to glean something about his new location and the culture.
The white uniform got him weird looks, so it's currently hanging up in his closet, and he's now wearing a navy blue business suit. At the moment, he's staring intently at a painting done by a local artist, his face stoic but interested, hand on his chin.
Magic Practice
Thrawn's not too familiar with magic, especially magic of this sort. He's never had such abilities before, and he's always relied on quick reflexes and sheer combat skills when he's had to fight. But, since he's been given these magical powers, he may as well find out how to use them, since it's better if he knows how, rather than find himself in a situation where he might need them but not have the know-how.
Thus, he heads for the training yard to practice and hone his newfound powers. His abilities have been described as "light magic". His familiar is a strange, orange lizard draped around his shoulders. At the moment, Thrawn generates small orbs of light in his hands, as if he's holding two miniature stars.
Wildcard

'Nneth stood then, wiping off any dust or dirt in two quick pats. "Is it hard to learn?" The gesture Thrawn had made to create the lights is mimicked, though nothing happens as 'Nneth does it.

The ysalamiri shifted on his shoulders, getting more comfortable, as Thrawn began to channel his magic once more. His powers were light-based, and there were many applications of light. It could be bent, it could create things, it could be made hard. This time he bent the light, concentrating until he became transparent, looking like a ghost.

Who is 'they'? 'Nneth doesn't really know or understand, but it is meant to mean those in charge. A foot digs in the ground a moment later. "You think we'll have to use it?"

The spell ceased and Thrawn wasn't transparent anymore. He'd have to work on it some more, along with more experiments on what he could do with light magic.

"But some are just capable. Maybe? Maybe they just exist that way. Or maybe we just exist this way here. Like a hand or an arm. You don't have to use your arm, but it's more convenient to use it." They ruffle the back of their head. With so many 'maybe' and so many 'what if' being described, even 'Nneth is getting confused. "I guess what I mean is, er, well. Never mind."
"Do you think you can still be hit by something while it's harder to see you?" Another toss of the pebble, with a shy grin, just in case their intentions weren't clear.
no subject
"The spell does not make me intangible, so I could still be hit, yes. However, it may be harder to hit me while I am invisible, unless one were to have enhanced senses that could pinpoint where I am."
no subject
"Well, since I'm here. Want me to help you practice anything?" With that, 'Nneth pockets the pebble instead, their has never been known to be that great anyway.

With the ysalamiri still draped over his shoulders, Thrawn closes his eyes and concentrates. A blue orb the size of a tennis ball appears in front of him, floating in mid air. If his magic is truly based on light, then light can be manipulated to form illusions. For now, the ball just hovers in the air.
"What do you see?"
no subject
"I see a blue ball." So far, anyway.

"Yeah, actually. How'd you do that?"
