To my warm home
🧙 WHO: Colette Brunel & Open
⚔️️ WHAT: March catch all!
🕒 WHEN: March, throughout the month
🗺️ WHERE: Camelot/surrounding area sort of thing.
⚠️ WARNINGS: Nothing off of the top of my head? I mean besides the general 'raised as a sacrifice' thing that kinda. Comes with Colette because being the Chosen Sucks guys!
Closed: Kratos
[She has by now heard that some new arrivals show up every now and then. So when she hears the next group should be coming, she decides to head to find out if there might be any familiar faces among them. She isn't necessarily expecting it, knowing it might not be guaranteed but she won't know if she doesn't check, at least, right? So she does. She heads out with the carriages and keeps an eye out for any familiar faces (even if she might be more limited in that in not being able to recognize Presea, Zelos or Regal for example.)
So when she spots Kratos among them, she waves, jumping up on tip toes in not being able to actually use her wings here as she calls out to him.
Sure. Last she recalls he was kinda pretty much leading her to her death but. Still. It's a familiar face among all this and he was just doing his job then. Keeping her safe until she got to that Final Seal and all. That wasn't his fault that she had been raised believing sacrificing herself was her duty. What everyone wanted. If it meant they prospered and the mana was restored again.]
Kratos! You're here too?
[Of course in her enthusiasm as she rushes over in approaching, she trips. Her arms flail as she starts toppling forwards. But no, she doesn't try summon her wings to help her regain her balance. Because she can't. Not here. The fact she can speak again is another indication things were different. Or at least. They are on her end from what she last recalls.]
Quest: Sir Fuzzerton
[Colette. Admittedly doesn't know rabbits as well as she does dogs but even then. If she knows what this rabbit looks like it shouldn't be too hard to find it? She just has to check the cafes. He's probably in one of them at least.
Though maybe initially she isn't sure how many there are it couldn't be that difficult an undertaking? Surely? Colette puts together a list with the names of each and goes through them, checking the rabbits. Of course she still gets distracted playing with them thinking they were still cute. But she is still there for a reason! So she tries to stay on task, asking the owners of the cafes or anyone else nearby if there were any rabbits that had been pets that were found and brought in or something. She has a note, a piece of paper with the basic information at least as she asks around. Glancing between it and the rabbits.]
He's an angora rabbit. His name is Sir Fuzzerton. I'm sure since he's lost he's alone and upset! We have to find him. Actually, I wonder if he had a collar, that would help.....wait, do rabbits wear collars? I'm not even sure what an angora rabbit looks like in comparison to others.
[Please help. Colette is much more clueless around rabbits. But she wants to help in hearing about a lost pet!]
Quest: Run, Snagglefoot!
[Colette.....is a klutz. That's well known enough back home given her tendency to leave Colette shaped imprints in walls she trips into, often tripping over air and it might be debatable in how much her wings helped with that in her flying. Not that she has said wings here but as she does manage to approach the thieves she.....yes. Yes she has just straight up tripped into one of them. Of course she has.
Which may or may not have others working with her to try find said thief basically just. Facepalming at her as she flails her arms in some attempt to keep her balance and fails, tripping right into Snagglefoot on his way to the stables.
And. Yes. Yes she is apologizing to him for it.......]
Ah, I'm sorry!
Wildcard:
[Basically here if people want to do something else? She can probably be found alternatively practicing her Light magic, taking her huge Not Dog (that is not actually specifically Noishe, for those familiar) for walks or playing some sort of catch/frisbee like game with her new familiar. She's actually pretty good at throwing, given chakrams are her preferred weapon outside of her Angelic abilities back home. Or maybe she is crouching and petting and cooing at Every Single Dog she encounters.
Or just. Generally tripping over air because that's kinda also her Thing, obviously. Alas for all those poor walls with their Colette shaped imprints in them.]

...I see. The end of your Journey of Regeneration, that's your last memory?
[He pauses, rubbing at his chin while he thinks this new information over. He just wants to make sure they're on the same page before he starts trying to piece this puzzle together.]
That... actually happened a while ago, from my perspective.
no subject
[It had all already happened for him? He does look surprised when she tells him what she last recalls on her end. She supposes perhaps it makes sense. If people were getting pulled here from different worlds, different times too was probably not that much different. She just hadn't experienced it yet on her end given she had nobody else from home here, at least that she was aware of yet.]
You remember more then?
[At the least. He'd be able to tell her then. That it worked? That Sylvarant was saved and Lloyd would be okay.]
no subject
Yes. I remember much more.
[He goes silent for a moment, honestly unsure of how to proceed from here. There is so much that Colette is behind on, so much that he's going to have to explain. Knowing her, Colette's primary concern is most likely the fate of the world, so at the very least he can reassure her about that. He'll figure out how to explain the rest later.]
Everything is fine. The world has been saved. [He hesitates for just a second, before adding,] You... you were also saved.
no subject
[She was? How? Colette isn't sure what to make of that. They had saved her? From the Chosen's fate if they succeeded in their Journey? She wasn't aware that was even possible? But apparently it is. She wasn't sure if it was just this place that she could eat and sleep and talk and all again. Did that mean she could do all that again back home too? Colette's eyes widen and she isn't entirely able to keep the tears threatening to spill hidden from him.]
I -- how?
no subject
I have much to explain, it may be best to find someplace where we can speak privately. But, you should know that it was thanks to Lloyd. Thanks to his stubbornness, and unwillingness to accept a system that called for sacrificing a life in order to save the world.
no subject
[Colette lowers her gaze. Her expression softening in spite of her surprise, in spite of the threatening tears. Because. Well. Of course it's him. The one who only ever saw her first and foremost as Colette. Rather than everyone else seeing her as the Chosen. He had always treated her as Colette. Of course he knew about her status and all but he cared. Not that others didn't too, of course, but. With Lloyd, it was different.]
no subject
Surely that much should come as no surprise to you. You're very important to him.
no subject
[That didn't mean she expected he would risk the rest of Sylvarant in saving her. Though it sounds like things worked out at least. In the end. She just isn't sure what to make of it. As she clumsily wipes at her face and starts leading the way to the caravans, at the least in the meantime helping the others welcoming everyone and explaining on this place and the phone and such. Trying to distract herself from questioning it all too much yet.]
no subject
[In the grand scheme of things, Kratos hadn't traveled with Colette for very long, but it had been more than long enough to learn just where it was that her priorities lie.
no subject
[At the least, she doesn't say or ask more on the ride back to Camelot. Not until she leads him to the rooms, to hers specifically. Gesturing for him to enter and take a seat on the bed or at the desk. She takes whichever he doesn't go for, in curling up to listen to him.]
So, tell me.
[Her voice is soft, but her expression isn't. She's determined for answers from what he told her. An explanation.]
no subject
As far as saving you is concerned, the simple answer is that Lloyd was able to craft a Key Crest for your Cruxis Crystal, which was able to restore your humanity. As for the world... You remember what Sheena said, about being from another world called Tethe'alla? Once you completed your Journey of Regeneration, Sylvarant would begin to flourish, while Tethe'alla would enter a state of decline. It was decided that rather than allow this struggle for mana to continue, you all would look for a way to unite the worlds instead.
no subject
[Like he had made for Marble? Her hand reaches for the now useless gem at her neck, biting her lower lip before she glances to him as he continues. His explanation about Tethe'alla makes sense, and she gives a nod.]
Like an hourglass, right? If one prospers, the other declines. I remember. But then....their Chosen? They won't go on their Journey then? To reverse it?
[Maybe looking for an alternative means is better. She's just not sure how that will work. How that is possible. Then again, her Journey evidently wasn't exactly by the book, either. If Lloyd was able to stop it. To bring her back from that.]
no subject
Traditionally, yes. However, were the worlds to be united, the Journey of Regeneration would become irrelevant.
no subject
[Nobody else going through all that? It's a good thing she's sitting down, else she would surely have just collapsed to her knees at the idea. At the guilty feeling of relief deep down in some part of her. As it is, she just barely keeps the threatening tears from actually falling as she feels overwhelmed at it. Given she grew up with it and it was all she knew in her lifetime, it's probably not surprising this comes as a lot on her end. The idea of no more Journeys. No more Chosen after her.]
no subject
[Implying that the worlds have already been reunited. Which is good, no more Chosen means no more people needlessly suffering.
Also he's lowkey suuuper concerned that she's going to start crying or something and he's not going to know what to do about it??? Look he doesn't know what to do with his own emotions, he sure as hell doesn't know what to do about a teenage girl's.]
no subject
[That's....yeah, that's pretty overwhelming for her to hear. So there's some tears that end up falling. Just in relief and being overwhelmed. She can't help but to slump more in relief on the bed as it sinks in. As he says nobody else would come after her to go through all that. Her arms raise in covering her face for a bit as she clumsily wipes at her eyes and cheeks.]
That's amazing....!
no subject
Man, this was not the time to start second guessing his decision to leave. He stamps town any wandering thoughts and returns his focus to Colette.]
I know this must be a lot to hear, but it's true. Hopefully, it won't take long for everything to start getting better for everyone.
no subject
[That would be the ideal. That both Sylvarant and Tethe'alla were to be fine mana wise. That nobody had to go on the Journey again after her. That nobody else has to go through all of that. Even if she might be at a loss to consider what she might want to do afterwards. She probably never exactly....thought that far ahead. Considering her eventual fate with the Journey and all, that nobody really expected her to live past sixteen as a result.]
I guess this means......I'd have to think on what next.
[What she wants to do after.
What a concept. A future beyond sixteen years of age.]
no subject
[And he means it. Colette's the kind of person who will go to ridiculous lengths to do good.]
no subject
[You know. For. Obvious everyone expecting her to be sacrificed reasons. So this might take some adjusting to. In the idea of actually having a future and what she might want to do with it now she has this time. This option, this chance to keep going. It's almost overwhelming with that idea alone. But surely once she has time to figure her options she could choose something. Some way to help out as a job.]
I know Lloyd said he wanted to travel. Maybe I could too.
no subject
I don't see why not. Lloyd told me that when your journey was over, he wanted to build a boat. The two of you could see the world together, you'd have more than enough time for it.
no subject
I know we travelled a little with the Journey, but. There's so much more too! I'd like to go with him and see more. Even here, I'm keen to try and figure traveling if we can. To learn more about Camelot. I haven't thought as far as jobs but....I'm sure I'll think of something!
[Look she just. Never actually anticipated getting this far? Surviving the Journey? To have considered what to do next?]
no subject
Humph.
[It's not his usual, dismissive sort of if noise. If anything, it almost, almost sounded like a chuckle.]
Well, if you'd like my help at all, let me know. If you're planning on traveling, I'd prefer to know that you're doing so safely.
[in other words, you still have a bodyguard, kiddo.]
no subject
[Colette wouldn't even mind. Isn't even considering that the trip would be a rare chance for just her to be with Lloyd. Isn't considering how having Kratos of all people -- Lloyd's father, there would sort of ruin that private vibe. She wouldn't object to the idea. She's just so used to thinking of him as a mercenary. That he would move on after his time with them to something else.
Then again. Even here, he's been keeping an eye on her without being absolutely stuck together every minute. So maybe the offer isn't so surprising that he still seems to feel some sort of responsibility for her.]
no subject
As long as we're here, at least. We don't know what to expect from this world, after all.
