[ Weiss hasn't been one to socialise much since she arrived, mostly because she feels lonely that her teammates aren't here. If she'll make friends, there's a high chance they would disappear in a few weeks or months. Isn't that tiring? That's what she thinks on the surface.

But here she is, with Elaine, the owner of the farm she lives in, having posted for help, looking around and trying to get to know the various people who have come to the farm to assist in preparing the soil for planting, amongst other things. In fact, Elaine, given her old age, has told Weiss what she wants and left it to the young Huntress to manage the rest. Fortunately, she knows a thing or two about that! ]

Maybe you should take a break? [ Weiss is holding a tray of snacks ranging from bite-sized pretzels, to slices of bread, and fruit. She'd prefer not to get dirty, which is why she isn't helping with the manual labour, but if hose pixies ever come out again, then she'll at least try to do something about it! ] I think all of us have done a lot so far, so it wouldn't hurt to rest for a few minutes.

[ It's not every day that Weiss actually goes around to look for other means of income. Sure, she's helping out at the farm, and her and Cloud's landlady has been nothing but generous in exchange for their help in doing the groceries and other chores, but Weiss does want to do more. She wants to make more money. It doesn't help that she's never gone to a... "job interview" before, nor does she even have a resume! She's definitely lost as she checks various postings online for work. . .

Now, there's one particular "bar" that opened up. While not necessarily a place for drinking and partying, it does cater to people who want to enjoy music and have fun. Weiss has never experienced karaoke before, so the whole concept of singing alongside a track without vocals while reading the lyrics on a screen is absolutely foreign, but it seems that not many people in Camelot know about it, either! The bar now has a set outside the establishments, inviting people passing by to pick a song and sing along. If they like what they're doing, they may as well go inside and rent a room!

... well, if she's not going to find a job now, she may as well try and have fun, right? Though. . . when she looks at the selection of songs, there's not much that she knows. Oh! Except for this one-- at least, the title is the same. . . a song she'd heard in the world she'd previously been in, Prismatica.

Not at all minding that the public can hear her sing, she actually sings her heart out. She does have the talent, after all, although she's not exactly doing karaoke anymore when she knows the lyrics...

Still, it's a treat for everyone else! And after her "song", she looks around, adrenaline pumping in her veins. Oh, that was fun! She should do it again... or someone, yes, someone! ]

Guess that's one perk of being a world hopper.

[ Different recipes. Different cuisines. There's things on Prismatica that were pretty unique too, after all. ]

[ He always does. He just needs to mix up what kind of birdseed to give her. ]

[ As if to immediately dismiss her worries, he waves a hand dismissively before instinctively placing it over the spot where the bucket connected. ]

Nah. You know I've been dinged by worse.

Are you sure? You know we can get carried away whenever we spar... [ Or whenever they have pillow fights. Or just. . . whenever in general, really. She moves closer, dragging her chair with her, so she can touch where his hand was. ]

You tend to just look at what's ahead of you rather than what's around you, by the way. Since I have a very good understanding of using elements, I'd be happy to provide you with a training regimen on how to improve your craft.

[ She closes her eyes and nods sagely. ]

You can start by doing shirtless sits up first thing in the morning. Thirty of them.

Hm. And what about you? [ As she drags her chair with her, he lowers his hand and lets her feel where the bump was forming. ] I was a little rough knocking you on your butt back there.

[ He's joking. He knows why she wants this. ]

[ It's not like she wears anything revealing, anyway, but she doesn't want anything purple on her legs! Or her butt!

And Cloud? This is a very serious discussion about your very professional training regimen. Let's stop flirting and get our head in the game. ]

What? I mean, I could come up with an excuse for it, but if you're going to work out and distract me, you may as well just go all-out with it.

[ Very professional. In fact, she takes another bite out of the pudding, smiling contently with this "plan" of hers. ]

[ He'll just have to kiss it better— Uh so anyway ]

[ Sorry. His head is in the game. ~~The flirting game.~~ He's done with the pudding himself so he'll just challenge her with a less softened smile and a more confident one. They're awful close for Cloud to be proposing this. ]

[ They both have something they can legitimately improve on, after all. This benefits them both!

[ Look they are talking about the same thing here. ~~But.~~ ]

My stamina?

[ Well, he's not wrong. She knows she needs to work on it, too. There's no Aura or Dust to rely on in combat, so having one more advantage on her end would benefit her a lot. Right... That's not a bad idea at all. ]

What do you have in mind? And I'm not going to do anything without a shirt on.

[ Perv. ]

[ Yes, your stamina. ]

Bummer.

[ Guess it only goes one way, huh. Oh well. It's part of the deal. But he is actually serious about this too. ]

Starting with cardio. We'll run till you can't anymore. Then I'll carry you to give you a break. Then we'll keep going.

After that? Stressing your magic's limits bit by bit. Frequently.

[ During the appointed training time, that is. Cloud ain't gonna be her drill sergeant and do this every day. ]

Okay. I already have a schedule for me, but we can work yours out in mine. I think we can work things out.

[ If it's studying and improving oneself, Weiss is plenty dedicated to it. They can flirt with each other again later on. ]

[ Going back to being professional? She moves a bit to gain some distance so she can extend a hand to him. Shake! ]

[ He takes a moment to look at her hand, before their eyes meet once more. A confident smile, reminiscent of their first meeting, graces his lips as he takes her hand. A firm shake. ]

When do we start? Oh, and are you done?

[ With the pudding. There's just a few bites left! She'll finish it if he is so they can get to cleaning. ]

Tomorrow. [ A beat. ] If we ain't too sore.

[ They already had a good training session today. And it's getting late. ...not that he wasn't used to late night routines. ]

[ "Oh, and are you done?" ]

Oh. Go ahead.

[ Whenever Weiss polishes off the pudding, he'll be right there with her on cleaning duty! If there's any leftovers, it's easy enough to organize and refrigerate it all in the fridge. There's enough gravy left that it can be put in a container too. That's gonna solidify, but it can melt over other leftovers and dishes quite nicely. ]

Then I'll finish up your regimen tonight.

[ With his say, of course! She'll just have her notebook and jot things down in bed next to him. There's working on the desk, but her butt needs a good rest.

With the pudding gone, and the kitchen cleaned up, it's time to get some rest! After making sure nothing's left running downstairs, they head up to their room to finally relax. It was a long day of work and training. They had a satisfying dinner! It's not too late, though, and Weiss actually wants to stay up a bit longer. His regimen won't take long, anyway. ]

Do you remember what you said before? About me using your sword?

[ That works for him! Once they get back up to their room, he'll take off his socks and place them in the nearby hamper. He's about to check his device to briefly peruse the network, seated at the foot of the bed when she asks him about his swords. He places his device down beside him as he looks back to her. ]

You ready to give it a try now?

I want to study it.

[ If she's going to try using it, then she wants to know it from the inside and out. It's not a weapon she made, after all, nor does she have extensive knowledge of how it works! ]

If you would let me.

[ There's no hesitation on Cloud's part. To her request, he's already committed himself to letting her try and take advantage of it. He's already accepted that he might not be able to fully harness it anymore, and decided to settle back into a style reminiscent of his SOLDIER days. Besides! He's no stranger to fighting with different swords in his travels. ]

I'll do you one better.

[ He nods reassuringly. ]

I'll give you a full breakdown before you even start.

[ Yup. A full tutorial on each blade. What they're best used for. How they can combine together into different forms. That? He can handle doing without hurting himself. ]

Really?

[ Oh, this is exciting! Training with Cloud and learning about his weapon? That sounds like such a good way to spend the time together! In fact, she rummages through her things to get her notebook and her pencil already. Study mode is on! ]

Okay, I'm ready!

[ Be gentle, Sensei. 😉 ]

[ He wasn't sure when she was going to want to get started (she was going to jot down his regime tonight), but seeing her get all excited and rummage to find a notebook and pencil? The time was now. He doesn't need too much space to do this. It's not like he was going to go swinging it around in their room! Getting up, he retrieves the fully-assembled Fusion Sword from its space in the corner of the room. When he first tried lifting it upon arriving in Avalon, it put a lot of stress on him.

Now? He knows it's still too unwieldy for a long time. But the added muscle he put on in these months makes it easier to handle all the same.

"Okay, I'm ready!" ]

Right.

[ First! He presents the full blade in front of him, letting her have a look at all the intricate locks and gears that hold it all together. ]

You remember the Buster Sword, right?

[ Let's just remember it from the time it spent on his wall and not from the time he used it undercover in Lightless. For the lesson. ]

In its current form, the Fusion Sword is best suited as a crushing weapon. Overwhelm your enemies with hard strikes. But it can cut just fine too.

It's width works well to block gunfire and wider waves of magic as well.

[ She's seen Qrow's weapon, which was similar to this. Mechanisms and gears in place, you can use it in so many different ways. Though of course. . . Cloud's sword was better and bigger.

~~That's what she said.~~ ]

Was this all you used to block bullets and magic before you had your Aura unlocked?

[ Cloud... Get a sword, dammit. ]

I'm guessing it's not a two-edged sword, then.

Yup. Being built like I was in SOLDIER helped.

[ Because 16-year old Cloud touting a Buster Sword without mako or Jenova's cells? He wasn't living a bullet storm. To her observation on the blade though...he actually smiles to that. ]

Funny you should say that...

[ Because now Cloud was going to manually take apart the ENTIRE thing. When he's finished disassembling, turning gears and flipping out two handles on his short blades, on the ground are now five individual blades. Two of them are a set that match the other, with the hollow blade standing out on its own. In his hands, however? ]

This is the base.

[ A large double-edged sword that's folded out in the center to reveal a bunch of complicated designs. ]

It's the centerpiece that holds everything else in place. It's lighter, [ he explains as he rotates it by the handle so she can get a good look at it. ] ...well. Compared to before.

[ Oh, she's getting a good look, alright. She may not look it, nor does she talk about it a lot, but she did study weaponry at Beacon and in the previous schools she's been to. Myrtenaster would not be the way it is without her own ideas, after all.

There is one thing, though. . . ]

So, why do you need so many swords?

[ That's a very good question! He could have easily kept using the Buster Sword. Or styled another weapon after it without the added functionality. But...well. Back home, it still served as a memorial piece for Zack. If he can help it, next time he goes back, he intends to keep it that way. In Prismatica, he only summoned it to give back to Zack when he was there. But...having to say goodbye enough times would cause him to become dejected to that notion. So, best to keep it as a memorial piece once more.

Answering Weiss' query, he adjusts the angle of the sword, even getting into a fighting stance, but never swinging it for obvious reasons. ]

Two reasons. One, the open road is dangerous back home. So I needed something I could swing offhand if monsters came after me.

[ He fights on his motorcycle. No big deal. ]

Two, I can adapt to way more situations— [ i.e. - different fighting styles. ] —if I can switch between dual-wielding or smashing things.

[ To that end, Cloud bends down to pick up one of the smaller swords. It folds at the handle when being assembled to the centerpiece. ]

I get disarmed? I got a spare waiting till I can retrieve it. You've seen my holster.

[ She finds herself struggling to lift the base, but with a little bit of magic, she pulls it off! Hah. ~~Cheater.~~ ]

Hmm... This one is almost as tall as I am.

[ Then again, Crescent Rose is taller than Ruby! She sits down on the bed, bringing the sword with her so she can take a closer look at the hinges. ]

Did you use this with materia before? Where do you put it?

[ When he can feel Weiss' magic wriggling the base weapon from his hand, he slowly loosens his grip until she's fully got it floating for her. Completely trusting her, he lets her do whatever she likes with it. If she finds it hard to handle or she loses focus on the blade while it's on the bed, he'll be sure to catch it or make sure she doesn't get hurt! But for now, she's free to observe away. ]

Actually...there are no slots for Materia.

After we defeated Sephiroth- [ and Meteor fell. ] -we tried not to use it so much. Relying on the Planet's power was part of the problem in the first place.

[ But that didn't mean they wouldn't. But Cloud got so much stronger even without relying on it. ]
