🧙 WHO: Din and you
⚔️️ WHAT: Quests!
🕒 WHEN: Throughout the month!
🗺️ WHERE: All over town!
⚠️ WARNINGS: Possibly some violence
[A - Sir Fuzzlerton]
[Din looks decidedly out of place.
This isn't the first time he's done this sort of job. It's just that usually he's looking for the type of people who hang out in dark dingy bars where he has to fight his way through to the target. (And then fight the target, because there's a lot of people who would be happy to throw hands with a Mandalorian. They usually regret it).
Searching for a target in a brightly lit cafe where he's almost reluctant to move for fear of stepping on one of the creatures is definitely out of his usual wheelhouse. But a job is a job. He'll walk up to the counter and hold up a picture.]
You seen a rabbit that looks like this one.
[B - Farming]
i - In the Fields]
[It's almost idyllic in a way, working on a farm. Plowing the fields, moving hay bales, tasks that make you feel like you've done something at the end of the day. It reminds him of Sorgen, but without having to train villagers to fight. He tries not to think too much about Sorgen. That was another time and he didn't want to bring any more trouble that they already had.
For now there's other things to not think about. Like the way he pushed one bale of hay into another without touching it, or the fact that they both exploded and he needs to clean it up.]
[ii - Trip Time]
[He lacks a totem, so it's the old fashioned way of travelling for him. Which he doesn't mind. Magic is proving to be a little bit too much at the moment. But it looks like nice weather regardless. He looks at the wagon.]
You driving or am I?
[C - Greg the Goblin]
[Now, this is closer to his usual line of work. While Din can't claim to really take any pleasure in the job, it's just more familiar ground. Something he can work with as he attempts to figure out this weird world he's found himself in. And maybe a fight will clear his head. And 50,000 gold is nothing to sneeze at.
He makes his way into the bar and up to the counter to survey the scene. He's used to the looks he gets from his armour, though he doubts that here they recognize the value of beskar. Which is probably a good thing in this case. He doesn't order anything, mostly just takes stock of the bar, noting the target and any potential allies.]

His reaction isn't anger or frustration...it isn't even dismayed. He just calmly stared for a moment before he putting his hands back down.]
Ah.
[He said like hay bales exploded all the time. Then he smiled a little at the other person working in the fields (the most likely culprit, he supposed)]
Do you have kinetic magic?
no subject
I...I think I do?
no subject
Ah, you haven't confirmed it yet? There are people who can help with that.
[He crouched down and began to pick up the hay.]
no subject
[And ignoring a problem's a good solution, right? He at least helps to start gathering the hay.]
I wasn't even sure where to start.
no subject
[So that had been quite a learning curve for him.]
People can also be found at the training areas that can help. You can also go to school. Full time students are paid to learn so it can also help you earn some income.
no subject
[He didn't exactly have a formal education. But at the same time, it's probably worth learning about, if only to prevent stuff like this from happening again. He sighs, his helmet cocking to one side.]
Are those the only options?
no subject
School isn't for everyone and being a full time student can take time away from work.
[He tilted his head, as if thoughtful.]
They're the only options I know of but you can always ask others for their suggestions. Both the people living with me also use kinetic magic. Perhaps you can ask them for advice.
[Though maybe ask Walter and not Gu Yun...]
no subject
[He's not adverse to asking for help, but he is used to working on his own most of the time.]
Granted I'm starting from scratch here. I've never had magic to begin with, much less a certain type. It's just...not common where I'm from.
But I'd appreciate taking to someone who has more experience.
no subject
[He nods.]
I will let them know. Though you'd need to give us a way to contact you. [Otherwise how would they find you? He stopped for a moment after putting some of the hay in a better spot, put his hands together and gave a shallow bow.] I'm Li Min.

A
[So while Din speaks to the employee, Nanaki shakes out his fur, frowning at one of the scampering rabbits.]
I'm going to be sick of the scent of rabbit by the end of this.
no subject
[Furry womp rats is what they should be called. Why are there so many of them?]
And not scaring them away. Anyway, they said they hadn't seen him so we'll do a scan and move on to the next place.
no subject
[He swishes his tail in frustration.]
I can't help it if they get scared of me. Which is foolish. I'm not even looking to eat them!
[Pouty teenager is a little pouty.]
no subject
[Referring to the rabbits, and acting like hasn't lost his temper once or twice. (He has some choice words about Jawas). He sighs.]
Do we need to go outside so we can...reset your nose or something?
no subject
I'll be fine. My nose is better than this. One rabbit won't throw me off.
What should we do next?
no subject
[It's how it goes. But this particular hunt doesn't seem to have a high capacity for violence for that, Din is grateful. It's kind of nice to walk into a cafe and not feel animosity wafting towards him.
Just soft little bunnies. What weird life forms.]
no subject
[He will go ahead with Din, sniffing around through the scent of rabbits as they go. It's honestly quite a cute cafe, and were he not on a mission he would have liked to just spend some time relaxing with the bunnies. Or trying to.]
[But since he's on a mission, the bunnies can sense his intensity, and keep scurrying. Sending their scent everywhere. He snorts a few times, before letting out a growl.]
Stop that. I'm not trying to eat you!
no subject
Might not be the best line to lead with.
[He does lean down and offer a small scratch to the rabbit that is sniffing curiously at his boot while checking his phone for the next location.]

A!
it just so happens that the rabbit she's crouched down in front of and gently petting is the wanton Sir Fuzzlerton himself. he's taken a break from his escapades to nibble on some of the lettuce Klee has offered him in exchange for letting her stroke his royally-coiffed fur. ]
You're so much fuzzier than all of the other bunnies... do you take lots of baths?
[ she's taken no notice of Din at the front desk. why would she when there's so many fluffy rabbits to pet? ]
no subject
It's a step forward, if nothing else.
It is, not the easiest thing for him to make his way over, in a largely non-threatening manner but eventually he kneels down beside her.]
Do you mind if I see that rabbit?
no subject
thankfully, she doesn't seem to be threatened by the large man despite his intimidating-looking armor. she looks up at him curiously, obviously assuming that he's here to pet the rabbits, too. as such, she rips off a piece of the lettuce leaf she has in her hand and offers it to him. ]
Take this! He'll like you more if you give him a snack.
no subject
At least his presence has scared anyone off. the last thing he needs right now is a chase.]
They eat this?
no subject
Uh-huh! Bunnies like crunchy greens, like lettuce and celery.
[ the large rabbit seems hesitant at first, but slowly takes the plunge and nibbles on the lettuce leaf Din offers it. ] You did it! Now just wait a little longer, and I bet he'll let you pet him.
no subject
What about picking him up? Is that allowed to?
no subject
If you're gentle! But some bunnies don't like it, so you have to be careful.
[ the fluffy mess in question doesn't seem to mind too much when Klee carefully hoists his forelimbs onto her lap, giving her a closer angle to pet him. ] There! That's'a good boy!
no subject
Without really thinking about it, he'll reach over and scratch the head of another bunny who has decided to get curious.]
I don't know if you noticed, but that one doesn't seem to look like the rest of the rabbits here.
