[open] catch-all log
🧙 WHO: Bennett and YOU!
⚔️️ WHAT: Catch-All log for the month of March
🕒 WHEN: March. All of it.
🗺️ WHERE: Various
⚠️ WARNINGS: None
[BOLD BUNNIES]
[Tracking down rabbits? Talk about easy! Bennett's got loads of experience hunting rabbits for food, surely it must be loads easier to just track one down and return it home, right?
...maybe not. As Bennett exits the tenth Bunny Cafe he's checked today, once again turning up nothing. Bennett stands in the doorway and hangs his head.]
Sheesh, these cafe breed faster than rabbits do!
[It seems, much like treasure, the rabbit remains beyond his grasp. Is this his bad luck at play? Or just a cunning bunny?]
[CROP AND ROTATE]
[Bennett has always seen his healing magic abilities as more of a burden than anything helpful. As nice as it was having the ability to take care of his own injuries quickly and easily now, he was the sort of person who would dive headfirst into battle, so not being able to charge in, sword wrapped in flames like he's used to doing just made him feel like he was less capable of holding his own now.
It did make him appreciate tasks like this, though, ones that explicitly called for his magic set, and not in a way that was just healing wounds. It let him feel... helpful. Like he could contribute in ways that weren't just being muscle.
...Not to say he isn't doing plenty of that. Over the course of the day at the farm, he helps clear the fields and till the soil to prep them for the next planting. But he also gets a chance to use his magic on the hay. All in all, a very busy day is had by him, catch him during any of these tasks or even help him out.]
[DRAG'N'DROP DRAGONS]
[The Spring Equinox seemed like a fun time with the way everyone in town seemed to be buzzing about it, Bennett couldn't help but feel nostalgic for home. Back in Mondstadt, this was probably about the time the Windblume festival would be starting up, packed with celebrations, revelry, activities, and of course, flowers.]
Ah! Over there! We should grab as many flowers as we can! We can always give the leftovers to other people!
[And speaking of flowers, gathering flowers was of the utmost importance right now. He's heard from people before that flowers have a language of their own, that they can convey very important meanings and feelings just by their color and look, but he never would have thought that language could be used to speak with dragons.]
...Do you really think we can talk to the dragons by making flower crowns?
[If only it had been that easy for the Traveler trying to quell Stormterror's rage.]
[LOCK, STOCK, AND BARREL]
[Games were an important part of any festival, and so was playing said games.]
Don't worry, I'll be fine, just roll me down the hill. I can handle getting banged up a little. This should be nothing compared to the injuries I've gotten back home!
[Probably not something you should casually admit to, Bennett. But he's already ducking his head down into the barrel. Let's do a barrel roll.]
[NO ESCAPE FROM HOPSCOTCH]
[This game reminds him of something he'd seen little kids playing around town back in Mondstadt sometimes. Not that he'd ever gotten to play himself, even back then his bad luck was rather well known, so it wasn't often he had chances to play with kids his own age. But now things were different! He could make his own choices and do what he wants! He could play hopscotch!
But now he was starting to question his decision, as pieces of the hopscotch board were slowly falling away, exposing giant holes leading (seemingly) to a bottomless pit. Was this his bad luck at play here, even ruining a simple child's game now?!]
Is this supposed to happen?!
[WILDCARD]
[Got something else? Make your own prompt or plot something with me!]

[WILDCARD]

[He's poking at it right now and it doesn't seem like it's registering his actions, even though he's doing exactly what Ken is doing.]
See? Nothing.
[That's because touch screens don't typically work with gloves on, Bennett. Especially heavy duty gloves like yours.]
no subject
[He said before giving a nervous chuckle. Maybe he was spoiled in all the latest tech that Mitsuru would give him and the others or maybe he was just lucky he grew up in a world that has all of these things.
But the more that Ken looked at Bennett, the more he wondered just how many people didn't have access to all of this.]
Why don't you take it off and see where it goes?
no subject
[Well, that's dumb. He's an adventurer, he needs hand protection! But Ken seems to know a lot about these things, so maybe he was right about this too...
Bennett unstraps and pulls off one of his gloves. Okay, let's give this thing a try for real. He gives the icon Ken indicated a poke with his gloveless finger, and achieves success! The map opens up without a hitch, and Bennett's face lights up.]
Ah! It worked, it really worked! You're awesome, Ken!
no subject
[Although, he hoped that he would be able to keep up this knowledge of technology! Now with the map popping up, Ken pointed to a rabbit cafe on the phone.]
Now you see here? Is that one of the cafes you walked into? If you click on it, there should be something that pops up with an 'x'. Once you do, it will show a giant 'x' mark on the cafe!
[Where was Fuuka when he needed her? He really wasn't doing a good job of explaining it, was he?]
no subject
He looks down at his physical map, and then at his phone. He likes his physical map, it feels more adventurery, but... The phone sure was convenient. Not to mention easier to carry...]
Haha, sorry. We don't really have anything like this in my world. Back home, if I wanna talk to somebody far away, I have to send a carrier pigeon!
no subject
No, it's okay! I figured you wouldn't be use to technology if you don't know what a smartphone is. It's pretty rare to see someone using a physical map these days anyway.
[Although, Ken wondered if he was being a little too blunt for his own good by saying that. Regardless, he looked at said map before crossing off a few bunny cafes.]
Let's see here. We've been through here and here. There's only a couple more to look if you want to go with me.
no subject
Yeah, let's do this.
[He nods, and then:]
...Umm, Ken. Do you think maybe sometime, you could teach me more about how to use my phone? Please?
no subject
[He said before walking over to one of the nearby cafes. For a moment, Ken wondered if he should say anything back but he settled in for this.]
Especially when we all need to work together and help one another here.
1/2
2/2
[He smiles, and flashes Ken a thumbs up, before following after him to their next cafe destination.]
no subject
Exactly! And besides, it'll make a lot more than some bad luck to scare me!
[Especially after everything he's been through? A little bad luck was nothing. However, as he entered into the café, that's when he found himself staring at the horde of rabbits around the place. Looking back at Bennett and said animals, he gave a small sigh.]
Although, I would like a little good luck right now!
no subject
Uhh.... Well... There are a lot of rabbit's feet here? One of 'em's bound to be good luck, right?
[His poor attempt at a bit of humor in this situation.]
no subject
Then we'll just have to talk to them to see which one has good luck!
[At that moment, Ken decided to walk up to one of the rabbits before kneeling down to them.]
Excuse me, have you see a rabbit named Sir Fuzzlerton? I'm afraid he needs to return home as there's someone who is missing him.

]
Did it answer you?
no subject
Yea, they did but they're saying he isn't here. [Mumble mumble] This quest sure is a lot more difficult than I thought!
