[ Prior to this place, very rarely would Xiao partake in consuming human-prepared food. He doesn't understand the the need to combine things in a variety of different ways. Why all of this effort put into preparation? It seems like quite the waste of time and effort for a couple of moments spend consuming what had been prepared. Truthfully, he had only been passing by when the individuals selling these blended, flavored drinks seem to think that he is in need of them. Apparently it doesn't matter how much Xiao ignores them or attempt to pass by their wares, these sellers are persistent - even going so far as to shove small samples in his hands before moving on.

So, at first, Xiao merely sighs and figures that he might as well. No need to be rude. Butterfly pea-lemon tea seems to be the first flavor. There seems to be a calm that washes over him. Things that bothered the Yaksha in the past? Don't seem like such a big deal now. One can only wonder how this newfound inner peace is going to effect him. Maybe he'll try new foods! Or fall asleep in some random location... Or staring off into space.

The second flavor on the docket would be a strawberry-rose. It's a bit strong, of course, though over all Xiao finds he doesn't actually mind he cool, almost foamy and light texture of the smoothies. Don't expect him to be overt in his "flirting," if one can even call it that. Just a light touch here or there. A need to be closer than usual. When it wears off... Well. Won't that be a surprise. ]


( Bunny Café Chaos )

[ This should really be a simple task. How hard is it to poke a head into a café, scan said café for a particular rabbit, then leave? That's what his intention is at any rate. No need to linger.

Yet Xiao finds himself in a rather odd predicament. Odd for him anyway. ]

Move. [ He is telling this to a stubborn little thing that has taken the liberty to just block his exit. ] The one I seek is not here. I must move on.

[ Wait. Is he really being held captive by a couple of rabbits? Seems so! By the time anyone comes to check up on him, he's going to be covered in the furry little creatures, sort of frozen in place. ]


( Hay Fever: options A and B )

[ Originally Xiao had come along just for his own curiosity. This world does not have need for his particular skillset - not in the way that the Yaksha has always done - so he is still trying to find out where he fits in all this. Still feeling his way through. Thus Xiao thinks that it would be fine to simply observe.

What he doesn't expect is to be ushered along with other healers to perform this one-off spell. In fact, it seems as though he is about ready to argue over that. ]

I am no healer... [ "But you do have healing magic, right?" Which has Xiao making a slight noise and shift his weight. Whatever the case, he doesn't look comfortable. Looks like he might be in need of assistance in either 1) getting out of the situation or 2) being encouraged to proceed. ] That is of no consequence.

[ Additionally, all of this hay being tossed around is really stirring things up! Either Xiao or someone close at hand will soon have to contend with a next of those pesky pixies. They seem to really enjoy pulling and tugging on hair - be it Xiao's or whoever is working with him. ]

[ Watching this all play out... Xiao cannot help but be somewhat amused and also filled with a bit of sympathy. After all, this has already happened earlier - to himself nonetheless. Perhaps it isn't quite a mirror, but the result is the same regardless. ]

[ Worse company? That's debatable, he thinks. His eyes then move to the rabbits resting quite comfortably in his lap. ]

[ Forgive him. He's not really a social butterfly. ]

Have you been in Avalon long, Xiao?

[ He shifts around a bit. Uncomfortable. Carrying on conversation is... Difficult. ]

[Lizzie takes not of the shifting but doesn't let up just yet. He doesn't seem miserable about the conversation. Just shy.]

Oh, so you must have arrived around the same time that I did.

What do you think of the city so far?

[ Not shy really. Awkward more than anything else. He's not really a social creature. ]

It is... Not quite like anything I have seen before. The world here feels different. I can't feel the winds like I am accustomed to. It is. Hard. To put into words.

Feel the winds? Is that a magical ability of yours back home?

[Lizzie's not well-studied in aetherology, but from what she does know it sounds kind of similar? Maybe?]

But I can agree that things here really are strange. It's taking some getting used to.

[ There's a hum as if he is considering how to best answer the question. Xiao picks up the rabbit and moves it again. At least this one will stay off of him. For a couple of moments anyway. ]

It is not quite magic. There are spirits and the like that are simply in tune with the elements. For others, the gods may bestow upon them a particular item that enables them to harness an element.

That sounds very... aether-y. It's more or less how magic works, where I'm from.

[Which is about as detailed as Lizzie is able to get in that regard. As a Warrior, it's not something she needs to know much of.]

That's interesting, though! What sort of magic are you able to use here? Does it involve the winds or the elements at all?

Another spoke of elemental energies as aetheric. I cannot say that we refer to them in the same way.

[ He has had a conversation with a particular small red mage on the matter. He knows it is not quite the same, but that's fine.

The topic of his magic makes Xiao take a sudden interest in the rabbits in his lap. ]

It... Does not.

There are a few people from my world here, so that doesn't surprise me.

[Mind, no one that she knows from back home is here. But the cultural familiarity when she meets fellow Eorzeans is nice all the same.]

I'm sorry about your magic. It seems pretty unfair to randomize it like they do.

I could say the same. There are many here from Teyvat as well. It does make one wonder if this place tends to like to draw people here in groups.

[ It's the same for Xiao as well. He can identify someone from Mondstadt or Liyue from the shape that their Vision takes. As far as individuals he knows on a more personal basis... That would be the resident Archons and not more beyond this.

The talk of magic has him shaking his head. ]

It is not the randomization that upsets. Rather the fact that I was given something that I cannot ever hope to use is.

[That last comment has Lizzie's curiosity piqued.]

If it's all right to ask... what magic were you given?

[As she waits for an answer, she starts to pet one of the rabbits that's settled into her lap. This isn't a terrible way to be trapped, all things considered.]

[ Hrm... He hasn't actually stated what sort of magic he has. Not to anyone really... So does he risk telling or not? ]

As I said. It is not fitting. I am ill-suited to healing magic.

[The rabbit she's petting seems to settle in closer on her lap, and another crawls in to get in on the attention. Lizzie's doing a poor job of trying to break free, clearly.]

I... see. Not your style, huh?

[There are clearly Reasons, but Lizzie's trying to keep it light. They just met--she's not looking for him to bare his soul to her.]

I got kinetic, which is... well, it just is. I'm still figuring out what to do with it.

[ He wonders if that is even really her goal at this point. For all Xiao knows, this could be kin.

However it is a good thing not to press too much. Xiao merely shakes his head but will not elaborate further on the subject. ]

You can make things float and move them. Another I know has this magic.

[Rude, Xiao. Lizzie's just living her best life given the circumstances.]

That's not a bad power to have, I suppose. I don't believe that ability even exists back home.

[She pauses thoughtfully.]

I wonder if we can use that to our advantage, given our predicament.

If done correctly, I imagine that it would be useful.

[ This magic would also be preferable to healing in Xiao's opinion. At least he could learn how to adapt to it and use it in battle. Healing is... Well. There's really only one use for that.

Maybe someone should also explain that healing magic will save lives as well and thus will start to even out those numbers that he considers perpetually carved onto his soul. ]

In theory you could use your magic to levitate all of these creatures.

[With a bit of reluctance, Lizzie removes her newfound friends from her lap.]

If I manage it, feel free to just run out of here. I won't be offended if it gets you out and not me.

[And with that, she closes her eyes and concentrates on the thought of floating bunny rabbits.]

[ Poor Lizzie... Rng gods say a 2 which is not very successful For a moment it looks like a rabbit might float... But it is actually just hopping along. ]

Hmm. I think you may need to focus a little more. Imagine a feather in the breeze instead?

[Even though she has no reason to doubt Xiao's assessment of the situation, Lizzie still peeks an eye open to see for herself. Those rabbits sure are still on the ground.

This is what happens when you roll a two. What the hell is focus?]

Right. Feather in the breeze.

[She closes her eyes and tries to pull her thoughts together. A feather in the wind, floating by in the clear blue sky...]

[ Something about that phrase must click a little. Congrats on the 12 At least two of the rabbits seem to hover in the air. It might not be a bunch of them, but it is enough for Xiao to be able to stand to his feet. ]

A little concentration seems to have worked in your favor.

[ He'll make an attempt to remove one or two from her person so that Lizzie might also be able to get up. ]

[16! Good reflexes there, Xiao!

He's able to remove the two rabbits that had curled up in Lizzie's lap, and it seems that the one on her shoulders gets the message--it hops off of it's own volition. Lizzie keeps the concentration up until she feels the decrease of little fuzzy weights on her person, at which point she scrambles up.]

[ Are they being released? It seems to be the case. However this probably is not where they are going to find the stray rabbit at all, hmm? Xiao hasn't seen foot nor whisker of the creature. ]
