[ Prior to this place, very rarely would Xiao partake in consuming human-prepared food. He doesn't understand the the need to combine things in a variety of different ways. Why all of this effort put into preparation? It seems like quite the waste of time and effort for a couple of moments spend consuming what had been prepared. Truthfully, he had only been passing by when the individuals selling these blended, flavored drinks seem to think that he is in need of them. Apparently it doesn't matter how much Xiao ignores them or attempt to pass by their wares, these sellers are persistent - even going so far as to shove small samples in his hands before moving on.

So, at first, Xiao merely sighs and figures that he might as well. No need to be rude. Butterfly pea-lemon tea seems to be the first flavor. There seems to be a calm that washes over him. Things that bothered the Yaksha in the past? Don't seem like such a big deal now. One can only wonder how this newfound inner peace is going to effect him. Maybe he'll try new foods! Or fall asleep in some random location... Or staring off into space.

The second flavor on the docket would be a strawberry-rose. It's a bit strong, of course, though over all Xiao finds he doesn't actually mind he cool, almost foamy and light texture of the smoothies. Don't expect him to be overt in his "flirting," if one can even call it that. Just a light touch here or there. A need to be closer than usual. When it wears off... Well. Won't that be a surprise. ]


( Bunny Café Chaos )

[ This should really be a simple task. How hard is it to poke a head into a café, scan said café for a particular rabbit, then leave? That's what his intention is at any rate. No need to linger.

Yet Xiao finds himself in a rather odd predicament. Odd for him anyway. ]

Move. [ He is telling this to a stubborn little thing that has taken the liberty to just block his exit. ] The one I seek is not here. I must move on.

[ Wait. Is he really being held captive by a couple of rabbits? Seems so! By the time anyone comes to check up on him, he's going to be covered in the furry little creatures, sort of frozen in place. ]


( Hay Fever: options A and B )

[ Originally Xiao had come along just for his own curiosity. This world does not have need for his particular skillset - not in the way that the Yaksha has always done - so he is still trying to find out where he fits in all this. Still feeling his way through. Thus Xiao thinks that it would be fine to simply observe.

What he doesn't expect is to be ushered along with other healers to perform this one-off spell. In fact, it seems as though he is about ready to argue over that. ]

I am no healer... [ "But you do have healing magic, right?" Which has Xiao making a slight noise and shift his weight. Whatever the case, he doesn't look comfortable. Looks like he might be in need of assistance in either 1) getting out of the situation or 2) being encouraged to proceed. ] That is of no consequence.

[ Additionally, all of this hay being tossed around is really stirring things up! Either Xiao or someone close at hand will soon have to contend with a next of those pesky pixies. They seem to really enjoy pulling and tugging on hair - be it Xiao's or whoever is working with him. ]

[Venti thinks these little bunny-centric establishments are just adorable and wonderful. What a good idea to have these places overrun by cute fluffy creatures. He figures this sort of business venture probably brings in a lot of customers. Taverns should have a draw like this...

Venti has a rabbit in his own arms and is snuggling this one right to his cheek when he sees Xiao's predicament. He gives a little singsong tune,]

Yahoo, Xiao! Maybe you should try asking it a little nicer.

[Or don't and accept his fate being covered in rabbits. Either way, Venti is enjoying this. Please continue.]

[ Fairly certain the thing about taverns is that people want to drink. People usually are there to drown their sorrows or ignore pressing problems. Allowing these fluffy creatures around wouldn't add to thiat sort of environment.

Xiao turns slightly, looking at the Archon's expression with a withering glare. ]

You are enjoying this entirely way too much.

[Venti holds up his own bunny! Snuggling the soft white down to his cheek once again.]

Oh, please! Don't let me get in the way of your work!

[He's really not helping! Just enjoying the scene. Are those bunnies still trying to use Xiao as a playground? Good!]

[ Yeah his expression doesn't change. Though there is one thing that changes. The rabbit is now in his hands.

And a secondary one is flopping into Xiao's lap to take the first one's place. ]

You are getting in the way by subtly encouraging these creatures.

[Venti merely tilts his head innocently.]

Am I? ... Ehe.

[But look how nice all these bunnies are and how much they love Xiao.]

Is it really so bad to take a moment to enjoy the company?

Hay - A

[ While Maribelle was also a healer at home, she has to admit casting a spell over hay is... unusual. However, if the people need her, who is she to deny them?

So when she hears Xiao being a butt, she scoffs, tossing her hair a bit. ]

I dare say it is of plenty consequence. What better way to see our magic truly helping another, while also learning what we are capable of?

[ Xiao can't provide to people what they need. Not outside of killing and maiming. That's how he has "helped" people, thank you kindly. ]

Then surely you do not mind handling the task on your own. You seem to be well equipped to manage this type of magic.

On my own? Are you mad? Why on earth would they have gathered multiple people here if this was a one-person duty?

[ Ya'll ain't getting out of here that easy, buddy. Maribelle will not be denied. ]

Do you not even realize the importance of what we are being asked to do?

There are many here that are capable. Surely one less will not make it any less successful...

[ That's the thing. Surely they don't need him bungling it up. ]

Though I admit that I do not know why this spell is needed.

[Chang Geng is more than happy for the chance to practise and help (and earn a little money while he's at it). But he also realizes that people may have all sorts of reasons to be uncomfortable with magic even of any kind.

Like this person, for example.

Chang Geng left the bale of hay he'd been casting magic on and came closer to interject with a polite smile.]

Excuse me. Since you're not a healer can I trouble you to help carry something instead?

[Look, he's offering you an out!]

[ It isn't magic in general that makes him uncomfortable. For one that has spent a considerable amount of time ensuring that gods never fully wake from their slumbering states and has slaughtered countless monsters and mutations... For what he had been forced to do.

Healing arts would be an insult to their memories. ]

If that is the alternative... I suppose there is little choice to be had.

I promise it won't take long.

[Was more a promise to the person who was looking to add another healer to the group casting magic on the hay but, in truth, if this person decided to sneak off Chang Geng would be willing to look the other way.

Mollified, they went off to go find more healers to put into groups. Once the person is out of earshot, Chang Geng turned to his new companion and gestured in the direction of some hay bales that are already refreshed and ready to be moved.]

Over there.

[ Well he has no intentions of getting caught up with the rest of those that practice healing magics. If he has going to be forced to head that way once done with this task, then Xiao simply will walk away. People could try to stop him, of course, but he would probably then decide to remove his spear from its place on his back.

Not that he would kill, but no one has to know that. ]

I see. Where must they be moved to?

[ And surely there must be some sort of tool to aid in this endeavor? ]

Bunny Café!

[Lizzie has agreed to help find the rabbit, but boy she has grown to regret that decision over the course of the day. So many of the locals have made comments about her ears that she's ready to knock a few heads together.

When she peeks into a café looking for the elusive Sir Fuzzlerton, she braces herself for more of the same. Instead, she finds a young man covered in bunnies. The sight makes her chuckle a little as she approaches.]

Need some help there?

[ When she pokes her head in, Xiao is quite covered indeed. One has managed to get its way onto his head. Three rest in his folded lap. Then there's one being lifted and removed -

Only for another one to take it's place. For Xiao this is a losing battle. ]

If you have the means to, at this juncture it seems that could do little but accept.

[Lizzie approaches, casually crouching to grab the rabbit that's perched on the man's head.]

All right, little guys, playtime is over. Let's wrap this up.

[She sets it down just in time for another rabbit to hop onto her hunched back.

[ He sees the little rabbit take a leap onto that back... And realizes that they are likely going to be left to the whims of fate here.

Or, at the very least, to the whims of the bunny rabbits themselves. ]

As you can see, they are quite persistent.

Smoothies - A

[Nanaki is just going about his daily errands, minding his own business as he does. One of his routes involve him going through one of the city's parklike areas, just to avoid some of the foot traffic in the area.]

[It's fortunate he chooses this path today, for on his way through the park he comes across a familiar figure. A familiar sleeping figure.]

Huh?

[Nanaki pads over, carefully sniffing at Xiao. Is he okay? Or just napping?]

[ It really is six one way, isn't it? Normally a nap wouldn't really be something to be overly concerned with.

Now the fact that Xiao is taking a rest by this tree? In the middle of the day? With all of these people coming and going?

It might be a bit disconcerting! ]

[It definitely is disconcerting! Nanaki is not one to discredit a quick nap, but with so many people coming and going, this hardly seems like the place for a nap. Which makes him wonder why this one decided to nap in the first place...]

[Carefully, Nanaki will nudge Xiao with a paw.]

Hey. Can you wake up?

[If Xiao insists on sleeping deeply, then Nanaki might have to take matters into his own paws.]

[ Hmmm... Nope. Might want to try again. He is definitely sleeping.

...Which is also alarming. Xiao is definitely not a heavy sleeper. ]

[Aether knows that Xiao doesn't really enjoy human food other than almond tofu, so he smiles brightly the moment he spots the yaksha trying out a smoothie. It's such a nice change, to see the other going out of his comfort zone!]

Hello Xiao.

[With a smile and a small wave, Aether approaches the yaksha.]

[ In this place he doesn't have much of a choice now does he? Xiao must partake in human treats and dishes.

His eyes drift over to Aether as he is greeted. Somehow it does not come as a surprise to Xiao that the traveler would be all smiles. Well. Usually he is giving Xiao a rather concerned look, but... ]

I suppose that I should have predicted that you would turn up.

[startraveler]

I'm just showing up where curiosity takes me.

[His tone is light. As usually his days are spent on exploration and getting to know more about this new world. It's a pure coincidence that he stumbled upon Xiao now.

But a familiar face is always a nice thing to see.]

So how's the smoothie? Did you find one that you like?

That "curiosity" has had you crossing my path more than once.

[ That's just how it is. Now that isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is the truth of it.

For now though, Xiao looks at his little sample cup. ]

The texture isn't terrible.
