( I: Sir Fuzzlerton the Cad 🛡️ )

[ Akira's never seen so many bunny cafes in one place, not even in Tokyo. The search for Sir Fuzzleton, the fluffy Casanova continues and it doesn't look like it's going to conclude anytime soon. At least, Akira's not alone—looking for a very affectionate bunny is much more fun done in pairs.

He enters another bunny cafe with the person he's teamed up with and looks around, keeping his phone in his hand to peek at the screen with a picture of Sir Fuzzlerton to compare it with the bunnies hopping around the tables. ]

I wonder what kind of freebie we're gonna get this time. [ The previous cafe was really generous and gave out tumblers. ] Oh, here it is.

[ Someone from the staff walks up to them with two bunny hats before guiding them to a free table. ]

Maybe it'll help us find Sir Fuzzlerton.

[ He's not entirely serious but it would make things much easier. ]

( II: Magical smoothies )

[ Every now and then, Akira used to get a special smoothie sold only on Sundays on Shibuya station. The one's sold here look really good and he feels like trying some of them on a whim. What he doesn't realize is that there's a small text under each flavor.

Well, these smoothies definitely won't raise any social stats.

Drinking a Strawberry-Rose smoothie will make him very flirty. While it's not due to the drink, he might go wild with the puns. ]

I'm very smooth now. Do you know why?

[ Alternatively, someone might bump into him after getting a Butterfly Pea-Lemon Tea smoothie. If that's the case, Akira will be found sitting in a lotus position with his eyes closed. Is he meditating or sleeping? There's no telling without poking him. ]

Where's... [ A pause. ] The nut in donut?

[ He's either entered the path of enlightenment or is mumbling in his sleep. The latter sounds way more probably, though. ]

( III: Brewery )

[ Although Akira is still too young to drink, applying magic while preparing food or drinks is something he's been curious about for quite a while. If it turns out okay, he can always give it to someone who actually can drink so it doesn't go to waste. ]

Do you want to pair up? [ It's possible to make a drink following the recipe alone but the more the merrier. ] I wonder if this can be used for other drinks.

[ Yes, he has magical latte art in mind. ]

( IV: Familiar bonding )

[ Akira and Cat Sidhe started off on the wrong foot; his familiar is a proud one, so getting compared to a cat didn't help. Not to mention that Akira's spent over a year carrying a cat friend in his bag. Perhaps it's not too surprising that he projected some of the feelings on the familiar but it took him a while to realize.

To make up for it, he takes Cat Sidhe to a beauty spa in the Red Spring. If someone happens to be there as well, they might see a boy and a catlike familiar chilling together. ]

Hurt me? Ouch. [ He might be still smiling but that sounded quite serious despite Gaius' laugh. ] Well, you're right. I used to live in a small town, but we didn't have sheep.

[ In the meantime, Akira pulls out his phone to show Gaius something. ]

If you like the idea, you can consider some unique sheep.

[ With that said, he shows Gaius cats wearing sheep hats. Akira definitely spends too much time lurking online for cat pictures. ]

[They don't have the Internet yet in Gaius' world, so this is charming.]

So there are actual pictures of cats wearing these tiny hats? This is kind of adorable. So would you have sheep wearing cat ears to balance it out?

[This is not helping their cause at all, but Gaius seems rather charmed with the pictures.]

[ Akira can show him a whole new world...! ]

Even better, there must be a place where these cats are wandering around.

[ Probably aren't getting as many customers as the currently popular bunny cafes, but! ]

Or cats wearing sheep cats, if sheep aren't really suited for being cafe pets.

[ It shouldn't be surprising that Akira is enabling someone to open a cat cafe, should it... ]

That's...certainly something to think about and peruse later. But we're getting distracted. Let's eat first and then try the idea of luring in the bunny with a disguise.

[When he unties his hair held back, it is very layered and a little messy. Maybe this weird plan might just work?]

[ Gaius better get ready for top 10 avalon memes every week delivered straight to his inbox. ]

Oh, right. [ He's got into this idea way too much and it shows. ] Do you like sweets?

[ Because Akira surely can't look away from a certain bunny-themed dessert. ]

[No lie; he'd be quite excited for that!]

I don't mind them...and ooh, that actually looks pretty good. Let's get some sweets and drinks and then try to craft a fake bunny.

But you also mentioned cat cafes. So they're the same concept, but you'd get to pet a bunch of cats? That sounds like it'd be fun.

Do you think our Sir has a sweet tooth?

[ Akira realizes that it would be quite funny if the bunny was longing for a companion so badly that he'd get tricked by a fake bunny made of drinks. ]

Does this mean you're a fellow cat person? [ He's thrilled to hear that. ] Maybe it'll be cat season soon, who knows. Or maybe someone opens a cat cafe...

[It's so rare that Gaius realizes he can joke and actually find one. He kind of pauses to make sure no one else is looking at them.]

Well...

He does seem to be fond of the honeys.

[And he kind of looks a little embarrassed at his attempt so he's JUST MOVING ON.]

Ah...I'm more of a horse person, actually, but given the choice between dog and cat, I will take cat. If they do open up a cat cafe, I would love to go to that with you. You seem to be the type of person who would appreciate it very much.

Pfft, good one.

[ That was a good one, judging from the snort that comes from Akira's mouth. ]

Horses, huh... [ Yes, he's most certainly wondering about a horse cafe right now, even if it's more or less on the same level of absurdity as a sheep cafe. ] Sure, let's go together. I wonder when the cat season is going to start around here.

[ As things are now, it's the height of the bunny season. ]

It's going to be nice to have company. Is there a place you'd like to visit, though?

Then that will be something fun to look forward for the future. A place though? Outside of the cat cafe? Hadn't thought about it, so I might have to get back to you on that one.

Let's unleash this ultimate plan of sweets and disguise. At least if it doesn't work, then we can try another bunny cafe and think of another plan. And then sample their food too.

Let me get our snacks. Then, we can practice our acting skills together.

[ Akira wrinkles his nose in order to mimic a bunny and gets up after confirming what Gaius would like to get. It takes him no longer than a few minutes to get back with the desserts and drinks they wanted. The cafe staff was generous enough to give them a few bunny snacks such as hay and parsley. ]

Sorry for the wait. Are you ready to charm our lady's man?

[ Or...should he have called him lady's bun? ]

[After stuffing his face, Gaius puts on the hat and wipes his hands.]

The ultimate test will be if this bunny likes his ladies with brown or black fur. I think if I mess my hair up enough, I can cover up my eyes and just stick to nose wrinkling.

Maybe we both try that together to give him twice as many options.

Oh, you're willing to go that far? Great.

[ Akira chuckles and runs his fingers through his hair—at least it's already messy. ]

What if he chooses both of us?

Then we'll be doubly blessed by the winds. And it also might make our quarry easier to grab.

[He starts arranging a few choice rabbit treats on the table and starts severely messing with his hair to get this disguise down.]

And if it doesn't work, we'll try another cafe.

I like your spirit.

[ Actually, a few bunnies hop closer to them, most likely interested in the treats on the table than Gaius and Akira. ]

It's already working, I think.

With all of this variety, our target has to appear.

[He does not specify whether he's talking about the food or the rabbit company. But with hair very messed up and ears in place, Gaius crouches down to hide his body behind the table and pretend to nibble on some treats.]

[ There are even more bunnies approaching, so Akira follows suit after ruffling his hair a bit more. One of them is even bold enough to jump on the table and start sniffling their heads. ]

It's...working?

[ Akira sounds genuinely surprised. ]

[It's a veritable bunny bash with rabbits taking part in the treats and sniffing at each other. Gaius is about to whisper something when a particular bunny hops on the table. It seems to be looking for one type in particular.

Gaius tries to unsuccessfully use telepathy at Akira and/or signal with his eyes, "Is that our bun?"]

[ Since he can't move too much, Akira slowly sets his hand on the table and shows Gaius a thumbs up. Now they just have to catch it—to do that, he tries to place his second hand on the table so he can grab the bunny from behind.

Another thing is holding back from giggling because Sir Fuzzlerton is sniffing both "hair bunnies" quite intensely. ]

[Well, since Akira is moving in for the capture, Gaius tries to sniff Sir Fuzzlerton back with enthusiasm. Or however rabbits do such things.

Akira, hurry up, he's kind of tall and this is a really awkward position.]

((OOC: I just got the first 3 volumes of the manga and there's certainly a lot of lovely Akira art there!))

[ It looks like Akira's capture attempt ends with a success. Sir Fuzzlerton is wiggling a bit but calms down a little while later as Akira sits up to take a look at this troublemaker. ]

I guess we're free for the rest of today. [ A chuckle. ] He really likes you.

[Gaius stands up and streeeetches, cracking his back audibly. Then he fingercombs his hair back into order, tying some of it back.

Which still leaves a lot around, but it seems he just prefers it that way.]

At least we can finally get that reward. And we got to try out some food at the same time. I'm glad I could be of assistance.

[He then makes a note that he's still wearing his ears and takes them down.]
