Kyoko pulled herself out of the water and collapsed against the shore for a moment, her work jumpsuit was so bright pink that it was impossible to ignore. People had tried. People had failed. The pink was even called a curse that burned itself into your eyes that you could never forget. It wasn't magic. It was just that obnoxious an intensity of pink.

She rolled over onto her back, confused. "Where am I?" she asked and pushed herself up. She patted herself down, and realizing she was soaked, she panicked and checked the white pouch on her hip. Because she had been doing Love Me work she didn't have her usual bag - sorry, Erika, yes she reuses the same bag for months at a time - everything was shoved into her pouch. grudge spirit was clinging over it, and thankfully everything that had been in there was dry. The spirit floated off a bit with a rolled up magazine, protecting it.

She blinked at the odd behaviour, then shrugged and dug through the pouch. Some of her curse dolls, good. But for once not her priority. She found the small coin pouch and breathed easily. She opened it and poured out a small translucent blue-purple stone and a tiny pink crystal in a gold setting on a necklace chain. She cradled both to her face, relieved. "Corn! Princess Rosa! You're safe!" Give her a moment and she'll notice the two club like things on her other hip...

She was beaming at the thanks and almost replied but then Zelda mentioned that some of her stuff was gone. She looked panicked for a moment and twisted to open her pouch. inside she pulled out a coin pouch and opened it. She looked inside and looked so relieved it was almost painful. "It's alright, Corn and Princess Rosa are alright. Everything else can be replaced." Eventually. Once she earned some money. At least no one here was going to have their minion boys gasping over how poor she was when she rewashed her uniform and wore it again. Excuse her that she can't afford to wear something once and throw it away anyway. And yes her face shifted as she was thinking this, from relief to irritation.

But then she remembered that she was here with an actual princess and joy flooded her expression, eyes going all shojo twinkly, and then she thought about how Erika would react to that and some petty smugness entered her expression. Then she looked at the two items in the pouch again and sighed happily before putting them away and closing the pouch over them. As she did, Zelda is welcome to see the small very well made realistic looking dolls that were also in the pouch.

She beamed a bright smile up at Zelda and adjusted the clubs she wore on her hips to be sure they were secure. "All good!" she said, giving her a cheerful thumbs up.

"Ah... Ok," she commented, watching the rapid shift in emotions. Zelda wasn't sure what to say, so she picked an expression at random, in order to question the strange girl about it,

Well, two, as she was honestly curious about Kyoko's ability to defend herself, and Zelda as well.

"Is everything all right? You looked a bit upset there for a moment. Then she motioned to the clubs at the other girl's waist.

"How do you use such weapons in battle?"

"Yes, they're fine, they're still here," she said, smiling, relieved. "What? Oh! Yes!" She unclipped one from her belt. She detached one of the sides of it, then the other side opened. She slid the part she pulled free into an exposed opening, then pulled another part free. It now looked more like a wooden stick than a rounded club. She rehooked the now narrow remains to her belt and then pulled the top off. It proved to be a hilt, the rest a sheath. The part she removed slipped up the blade and clipped into place, becoming the guard between hilt and blade. That done she quickly did the same for the other club, moving her pouch as she went so one club, now sword, went onto either hip She drew both and held the ready.

"I have been taking training, I'm not as good as I would like to be yet, but I am learning." Bright cheerful smile.

(Please do not ask e how this robots in disguise transformation would actually work IRL, because the manga is unclear, lol.)

Zelda watched curiously as Kyoko constructed the weapons, blinking in amazement at the finished product.

"I have never seen such a weapon before! It is quite fascinating. I almost wish we would run into some kind of trouble, just so I can witness how such a thing is wielded." she commented smiling and tilting her head.

"Though I suppose we should also take a bit more care along this path. Lest we fall and do not have the fortune to be caught by such a helpful creature." the princess mused before resuming the trek.

"When we get wherever we are going, I can show you, even without danger. I have to do a lot of practice on my own at home, which is different than the training fights, because I have to anticipate and react to impact than never actually happens. But it is kind of fun too! I think I'm really going to enjoy being Momiji!"

"I would love to see." she replied, smiling until the rest of the comment earned a confused raise of an eyebrow.

Zelda shook her head and sighed. It seemed like she was just going to have to get used to this girl's odd behaviors and manners of speaking in order to better understand her someday.

"Sure! It'll be like another part of the audition!"

Suddenly some of this all made sense, but how much sense?

"Kyoko?" Zelda prodded after a bit of thought.

"Are you an actress?"

"Yep!" she said cheerfully, then flushed and ducked her head. "Well, I mean. I’m just starting out. So maybe I can't call myself an actress just yet, but I'm learning and trying!"

"Everyone starts somewhere." she commented offering a supportive smile.

"I don't suppose I would be any good, but do not give up that enthusiasm and you will get there!"
