Love Me Girl In A Fairy Land - OTA
Who: Kyoko and whomever!
What: Trying to figure things out
When: right after arrival,
Where: the lake where they arrived
Warnings: Extreme mood swings, angst
Kyoko pulled herself out of the water and collapsed against the shore for a moment, her work jumpsuit was so bright pink that it was impossible to ignore. People had tried. People had failed. The pink was even called a curse that burned itself into your eyes that you could never forget. It wasn't magic. It was just that obnoxious an intensity of pink.
She rolled over onto her back, confused. "Where am I?" she asked and pushed herself up. She patted herself down, and realizing she was soaked, she panicked and checked the white pouch on her hip. Because she had been doing Love Me work she didn't have her usual bag - sorry, Erika, yes she reuses the same bag for months at a time - everything was shoved into her pouch. grudge spirit was clinging over it, and thankfully everything that had been in there was dry. The spirit floated off a bit with a rolled up magazine, protecting it.
She blinked at the odd behaviour, then shrugged and dug through the pouch. Some of her curse dolls, good. But for once not her priority. She found the small coin pouch and breathed easily. She opened it and poured out a small translucent blue-purple stone and a tiny pink crystal in a gold setting on a necklace chain. She cradled both to her face, relieved. "Corn! Princess Rosa! You're safe!" Give her a moment and she'll notice the two club like things on her other hip...

"That was... odd..." she commented once she had caught her breath, though she was grateful none the less. She could tell that that wouldn't be the last she would see of the feline, as she had felt a strange sort of connection other than the one they had while the creature was dragging her ashore.
Green eyes scanned the area, and spotted the pink-clad figure, curious but not offended in the least by the coloring of her attire. Zelda frowned momentarily when she noticed the brief hesitation on the other girl's part, speaking up before observing the visible relaxation at the discovery of the two jewels.
"Are you all right?" she asked, blinking a couple times at the strange statement regarding 'Corn, and Princess Rosa' that followed.

Had the encounter taken place a few months prior, Zelda would have most certainly taken offense and scolded the other girl for not recognizing her Princess, and possibly insulting her as well. But she had since then became a bit more humble in her interactions, and less judgemental. (That didn't mean she was necessarily good at casual social meetings. She really didn't have any friends her own age that didn't double as subjects.)
Oh... right... She had somehow been transported to a different world entirely. It was possible that nobody here would know who she was. Perhaps that would prove to be a good thing? Her brows creased as the realization dawned on her.
Not being burdened with a responsibly that seemed hopeless, as she tried time and time again (from a young age) as to no avail, to awaken a power hidden within her? Just because she had been born into the royal family and was destined to seal away the ancient evil, Calamity Ganon? Well, that thought actually brought her a measure of comfort; though she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for entertaining such a selfish idea.
In any case, it couldn't be helped, and so she turned her attention back to the girl, studying her a bit as well.
"Hmmm..." the princess thought. It suddenly made even more sense why this girl wasn't familiar at all with her liniage, but the full extent of the situation only just now became apparent. The girl before her wasn't even from the same world! She was neither Hylian, nor Zora, Goron, Rito, or even Gerudo (though she did share a similar hair color to the all-female desert dwelling race). Her most noteable feature however, happened to be the exact same thing that had drawn her attention to the princess herself! Her ears appeared to be shortened!
Zelda stared curiously before she returned to her senses and realized she was being rather rude. She shook her head in response.
"I am sorry. I am not familiar with what an 'elf' is. I am Zelda Nayru Bosphoramos Hyrule, Princess and Heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Hyrule." To anyone else, the introduction would have seemed rather convoluded and unnecessary, but Zelda really had no idea how to introduce herself otherwise. She smiled warmly.
"And you are?"

But she listened when the other gave her name, because it was polite, and Kyoko tried very hard to be polite. Came from growing up in an Inn. And then woking in various food services jobs. So she listened attentively, memorizing the rather odd and long name. But then the word princess struck her and her eyes went huge again. Princess. Heir to a throne. In a kingdom.
"You're... you're a princess? An actual living breathing princess?" she asked, amazed and awed. She tried to stand and couldn't. She was trembling, staring, with the largest smile anyone had ever worn.

However, when it was clear (somewhat?) that the girl wasn't going to hurt herself, despite her odd reaction to the introduction, Zelda relaxed a bit and sighed with relief. She was almost always more concerned with the welfare of others versus her own.
Again, she really wasn't sure how to respond to that, so she simply inclined her head politely and waited for the other girl to continue the exchange.

Then she did what was perhaps the oddest thing yet. She laid down on the ground, hands clasped over her chest as if holding something. "I am ready now. You may take me away, I have done everything I need to in this life, I have no regrets." A tear rolled down her face.
no subject
But when the girl turned on her back and spoke the rather foreboding statement, Zelda suddenly worried that she may have fallen ill with the drop into the lake. Zelda hesitantly made her way to the prone girl's side, tentatively placing a hand on her forehead.
She seemed to have a perfectly normal body temperature, though Zelda supposed it could be possible that the girl's homeostasis could be different from those of the princess's world.
"Might I have your name? So that I can direct the help I intend to fetch to the correct person?"

She thought she almost felt it. That shred of emotion that had almost come back when she got her love me assignment for that fake pop princess who was working with Mr. Tsuruga. She had thought that fledgling emotion had shriveled up and died once more. But it was back. That desire to actually make someone else happy. She could help an actual real life princess in a magical land! Short of helping Corn fly again, this was her best dream ever and it was coming true!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you Kyoko," she hoped that was an acceptable way to address her new acquaintance. "You may call me..." she had to think on that one for a second. People who were just friends didn't usually use titles, despite the fact that Kyoko was before her pledging her loyalty. "Zelda. Just Zelda is fine."
But she had to frown a bit as well when Kyoko explained that she had been tricked. That sounded rather unfortunate. She shook it off though, figuring she would ask at a later time, if they continued to travel together that is.
She had to quirk an eyebrow at the continued enthusiasm though.
"You're sure you're all right though? Not feeling ill?"

"I even just got some ninja training! So I can help that way too!"
Of course Momiji was in love with the person she served and there was no way that was going to happen here with Kyoko, even if this Zelda as princess from fairy land! Still! She could take in Momiji's soul and give her very life defending a princess!

Had Zelda been aware of Kyoko's thinking about giving her life for 'this princess,' she would have put a stop to it right away, but she wasn't so...
"It would be much appreciated. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do for you in return."
Zelda stood from her crouch and held a hand out to help her new acquaintance up. She knew at least that much regarding social interactions.
"Shall we go figure out where we are and what we have been brought here for?" she invited with a friendly smile.

Though the sentiment was appreciated, Zelda wasn't sure she wanted someone who had only been in her service for less than ten minutes to offer up their own life for her protection, so she made note to try not to find herself in a situation where such an act would be deemed necessary. She also didn't doubt for a second that Kyoko might just be crazy enough to do it.
So she simply smiled and nodded, figuring it really wasn't worth arguing over at the moment. They really should find out more about this strange place they had both ended up in. And it seemed there were more than just the two of them, as others seemed to be surfacing onto the shore as well, bearing the same confused looks.
The princess observed where the other presumed newcomers were headed, and motioned for Kyoko to follow as she made her way toward the stone staircase that appeared to be carved out of the cliff itself.
Such things weren't too far-fetched for Zelda to comprehend as she had met Gorons before. But when she lost her balance and almost fell from the cliff face and the giant sand hand reached out to catch her and subsequently gently placed her back on solid ground as well as gave her a few head-pats for good measure... that... that was a bit unexpected.
She looked back to Kyoko with a slightly embarrassed expression, "Please, watch your step. It is a bit dangerous. Though it seems we have a friendly guardian looking out for us." she mused as the Cliff Beast retreated back into the rocky wall.

But when Kyoko was set back on the stairs she grabbed for Zelda's hands, eyes huge. "Did you see that? Did you see that? That was magic! Real actual magic! We were saved by magic!"
no subject
and very much appreciated
"Thank you for your... assistance by the way." Zelda commented, still a little flushed.
"Although... I think someone may have run off with your belongings while you were preoccupied" She mused pointing in the direction the familiar had flown.
The princess frowned and suddenly wondered if the cat-creature with whom she had bonded, would be just as much of a troublemaker. She hadn't seen nor heard from it since being dragged onto the shore after all.

But then she remembered that she was here with an actual princess and joy flooded her expression, eyes going all shojo twinkly, and then she thought about how Erika would react to that and some petty smugness entered her expression. Then she looked at the two items in the pouch again and sighed happily before putting them away and closing the pouch over them. As she did, Zelda is welcome to see the small very well made realistic looking dolls that were also in the pouch.
She beamed a bright smile up at Zelda and adjusted the clubs she wore on her hips to be sure they were secure. "All good!" she said, giving her a cheerful thumbs up.
no subject
Well, two, as she was honestly curious about Kyoko's ability to defend herself, and Zelda as well.
"Is everything all right? You looked a bit upset there for a moment. Then she motioned to the clubs at the other girl's waist.
"How do you use such weapons in battle?"
no subject
"I have been taking training, I'm not as good as I would like to be yet, but I am learning." Bright cheerful smile.
(Please do not ask e how this robots in disguise transformation would actually work IRL, because the manga is unclear, lol.)
no subject
"I have never seen such a weapon before! It is quite fascinating. I almost wish we would run into some kind of trouble, just so I can witness how such a thing is wielded." she commented smiling and tilting her head.
"Though I suppose we should also take a bit more care along this path. Lest we fall and do not have the fortune to be caught by such a helpful creature." the princess mused before resuming the trek.

Zelda shook her head and sighed. It seemed like she was just going to have to get used to this girl's odd behaviors and manners of speaking in order to better understand her someday.

Suddenly some of this all made sense, but how much sense?
"Kyoko?" Zelda prodded after a bit of thought.
"Are you an actress?"

"I don't suppose I would be any good, but do not give up that enthusiasm and you will get there!"

With a makeshift bag out of someone else’s extra shirt, he carries the pile under his arm while the Pygmy Puff is hanging out on his shoulder, he is hoping to return the shirt back to the owner soon. Then he hears a lady in a distracting pink jumpsuit sounding like she was talking to herself with crystals for some reason.
Quietly making his way to the lady, he eventually greets her, “Hey, it looks like we’ll be stuck in here for a while. But may I ask who is this Corn and Rosa you speak of?”

“Fairies, right? Haven’t seen one before, but I get it. They are common back in your world, right?” he asks her out of curiosity, he is quite intrigued by the whole idea of fairies already.

She bounced to her feet adroitly. "And now we're in his world! I can't wait to find him and tell him everything that happened since," she stopped herself and froze in place for a moment. Can't mention Guam. Kyoko Mogami had no reason to be in Guam, and he might ask. Besides thinking about Guam...
The girl went beet read for no apparent reason, still frozen in place as her head seemed to explode for a moment.
Nope. Not thinking about Guam. The Actor's rule of the heart still applied so she still hadn't had anything that would count as a first kiss. Nope. Not from the jerk, and not from Corn. Nope.
The flush faded and she took a deep breath.
"Since I saw him last," she continued as though she hadn't paused.

He is tempted to tell her that the Avalon they’re in is not a fairy world, but it’s not really important right now. This lady kinda reminds him of Luna: a bit spacey but passionate towards her interests.
“Okay. What was that guy doing when you two last saw each other?” he asks.

Someone was BRIGHT RED now. And frozen. Kyoko.exe has stopped running, please reboot.

“Hey, miss, miss. Are you alright?” he keeps on asking to check if she is okay.

“About the fairies and coconuts? Do they have a barter trade or something similar, or do they love coconuts so much?” he wonders about the whole thing deeply.

Besides, he is in dire need of a good laugh since arriving and he couldn’t stop attempting to stop it.

Come to think of it, he should avoid horrible coconuts at all costs now thanks to Kyoko and Corn’s experience with some of them. What he didn’t expect next is that some rocks began to float from the ground which he immediately sees and get baffled by this happening. What in the world is going on with him?

Face flustered in embarrassment, Harry’s left hand instantly clasps onto his mouth while he is staring at the rocks in complete and utter confusion. The little Pygmy Puff is just as baffled as he and Kyoko are, letting out a small squeak.
“I wasn’t even angry at all,” he admits to Kyoko, “I don’t know how did it happened, but it was coming from me... Is this wandless magic?”
Not really, but he did noticed that, somehow, he could literally make things move without touching them in this world now. What kind of sorcery did he just pulled off?
Congratulations Harry, you just unlocked your newfound kinetic magic!no subject

“As I mentioned before, wizards and witches in my world use wands to channel and focus our magic, though some spells may not require one to be cast. I highly doubt my old magic works in here,” he explains to her, and sorry, he is not willing to transfigure anyone into animals today.
Instead, he aims at the empty expense, twists his wrist in a circle, and utters ‘Expecto Patronum!’, to no avail. His Patronus did not show. So much for trying to demonstrate his old magic.

If you got the impression she is expecting something amazing , well, you'd be right.
